This place has been around almost as long as I've lived on this side of town but only dined there on a whim for the first time today. I went super basic and ordered chicken tikka masala (medium spice), garlic naan and raita. Everything was delicious, although I didn't really get any spicy heat from the masala, so I'd probably go with a 4 or 5 (out of 6) next time. The garlic naan was amongst the best I've had, it was on the thinner side of naan and was buttery and garlicky as you'd expect. The raita was great. It was thick and filled with tasty veggies. The ladies working there couldn't have been kinder and even provided a big to-go cup of water to a gentleman was working on his car that had broken down in the parking lot on this super hot day. I ordered from here Sunday night the food was the worst chicken tikka marsla I ever had. Spice level 6 is like a 2 at most and the chicken was like boiled and white in the marsla. Stopped in for lunch considering I haven't been here for awhile. I saw on the menu they had iced tea and I got that and ordered chicken tikka saag and garlic naan. The place was dead except one other person dinning in and they had a couple carry outs. The inside is old and they must of had some leak upstairs due to the ceiling tiles being different and one thing I hat about this place are that the blinds are always closed so you cannot see out or see in which can be an issue during a crime that is being committed. I also saw where they used a stapler to fix a broken slat. The iced tea had a spice taste like chi and I wasn't a fan. The food was good but the chicken was extremely dry and I ordered a spice level 5 which is supposed to be hot and it wasn't. The garlic naan was good but I've had better. I have eaten at this restaurant several times after switching from Swad, the food is very good, service is very attentive and friendly. My single complaint is the temperature of the restaurant in summertime is pretty warm to the point of uncomfortable. This is a 3-season restaurant for me. Also, the television can be annoyingly loud. Food quality has been excellent, having tried onion and garlic Naan, Mulligatawny soup, Kachumber salad and Tandoori Chicken or Shrimp (excellent). I ordered New Year's Eve, thought it would be a delicious dinner based on reviews. This should probably be 1 star, but some items were edible though still off. The samosas were waaaaaay salty. Everyone agreed. The chicken saag was a bit less salty, but still, not good. The curry was sweet, and nothing had a heat of level 5 requested. The roti pictured was thick as naan-I've never had it like that. I called to see was the usual chef cooking or someone else. Not sure if there was a a real language barrier, but I was hung up on. Every time we order from this place the food is so spicy it's inedible. We even state zero on the scale. Tonight we ordered saag with a 1 spice (hubby likes a little kick and a 1 at Grace is a normal 5 at other Indian restaurants imo). It was ok, but what wasn't ok was my 2 orders of papadam being extremely spicy (it's never spicy). When we called they said we had to specify spice level for papadam (a cracker). Never have before. This place is more expensive than most Indian restaurants. Seriously just under $100 for three people. We won't go back. Seems every time there's an issue with the food being too spicy (from how it's ordered) or just wrong. And attempting to talk to the staff about it is impossible due to language barriers. Walking into Grace of India was like walking into a neighborhood diner: the decorations were informal but comfortable. And for a Saturday night it wasn't very busy -- just a few quiet regulars -- but I'm guessing that most of their business is take-out, like mine. The woman who waited on me was very friendly, and gave me a complementary container of rice pudding. I ordered the lamb saag and sabaz chicken, and both were excellent-- very authentic and rich in complex flavors. The heat levels were unexpected though-- I got a "2" on a scale of 1 to 6, and it was a little too hot for me. I checked the menu, and it said that "2" was "normal," and now I know that means "normal for the average Indian," which still means extremely hot!! I loved the paratha bread -- it was a flattened un-round shape that could only be made by hand, and you could see the layers where an experienced baker folded the dough over -- I haven't seen that high a quality of house-made Indian bread in a restaurant for years!! All told, an authentic Indian meal made with integrity in a small "neighborhood hangout" setting. Needless to say, I'll be back soon and often. read more

I was told by several locals to try out Grace of India if I love Indian food. So my husband and I ordered take out from them 2 days ago. The woman who took our order was very pleasant and welcoming. I ordered chicken Tikka masala, medium and my husband ordered chicken tandoori, medium and 2 orders of garlic Naan. It was absolutely delicious! The flavors were on point and truly medium heat! A great amount of food! We had lunch then enough for dinner. And we shared with our oldest daughter, she's 16. And there was still some leftover! I've never had better Naan and I've tried many different Indian restaurants!! I can't wait to go back!! Grace of India is my go to! Its just a convenient bonus that its right up the street, but this is definitely a meal I would travel for. Whether I order for pick up or delivery my food is always hot and fresh. Portion sizes are large so I can easily get two meals each time I order. This was a top notch little Indian restaurant on Cheviot Road in Cincinnati. From the outside the building looks a little on the rundown side but once inside everything looks very nice. There was a pretty extensive menu with all of the classic Indian favourites you would expect and then a few you wouldn't expect. We started with the Paneer Pakora appetizer which are fried cheese cubes with a little bit spice in it. They bring 3 different dips to the table for them and they all compliment the cubes very well in very different ways. A superb appetizer for sure. For my main course I got my personal Indian favourite dish, Lamb Vindaloo. It had a lot of lamb and potatoes with a very delicious tomato based sauce. I got 5 out of 6 spice level which definitely added tons of kick for sure. It was a super delicious take on this dish that I would recommend to anyone. My wife wanted me to shill their Tandoori dishes that were also super delicious as this restaurant had a brick oven to really take it to the next level. Our go-to Indian place has generally been Swad, but we saw that this place had opened about 10 minutes down the road from us, and we really wanted to pop in and try their lunch buffet. One indulgent Saturday afternoon, we finally did just that. For $8.99/person, this is a fair deal. Unfortunately, we didn't see our favorite dish on the buffet (Paneer Makhani), but there were a few vegetarian curries available for trying. The best part was the fresh Indian bread (I think it's called bhatura?). I was offered a hot piece as I was walking back from the buffet, and she kindly even suggested taking an extra piece back to my husband. Definition of 5 star rating is "As good as it gets". That definitely defines our experience at Grace of India. We really enjoy India food. Only problem is deciding what to order. I have to thank all the local Indian restaurants which have a lunch buffet. This way I can try multiple different foods. The lunch buffer at Grace of India was great. It is available seven days a week. Everything was hot (temperature wise) and delicious. My picture is from my first trip to the buffet. Yes, I did go back a second time. They have a great selection of Indian foods, sauces and deserts. People there are very nice, helpful and explained any of the items on the buffet that we were not familiar with. I ordered chicken vindaloo spice level 6. It had what I think was tikka masala gravy because I've never had it looking the way their's did. I've only had Indian one other time so I'm far from an expert. But after hearing lots of great feedback, I had to try Grace Of India. The location isn't the greatest for parking but you can't miss it. Locals will know the building as the old Chili Company. Once inside, there's plenty of booths and tables. Nothing fancy but it works. Let's fast forward to the important part, the food. Their menu is enormous and having such little experience I went with the chicken tandoori. It arrived on a sizzling plate like a Mexican restaurant would serve fajitas. It is bright red and the aroma stings your nose. The dish could easily serve two but I ate it all myself. The chicken was tender and was full of flavor. Under the chicken was a bed of veggies and onions. I can't wait to get back and have this again. And that says a lot because I normally want to try something new each time but not sure I can convince myself to get anything else. My friend said this restaurant had been located in Lebanon, OH and she followed the owners to this location. The food was so fresh and amazing!!! I've never cared for Indian food. I really enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. This was my first time here because of the colorful enticing pictures of food online, when I searched Indian restaurants near me on Google. I got there I searched the menus and they didn't have any pictures bummer. I asked the server for a vegetarian dish recommendation #13 she said. I went with that and she did not disappoint.
