I came here a couple weeks ago and I'm still thinking about the food. Everything tasted SO authentic and full of flavor. I ordered the carne asada with rice, beans, and salad and wow... the steak was perfectly cooked, juicy, tender, and seasoned so well. The rice and beans were just as good, like real homemade comfort food. The portions were generous (I was struggling to finish it lol), and everything looked and tasted super fresh. When I arrived at the restaurant some of the food items listed did not have a price. I said hello to the cashier she did not seem to speak much English. I ordered 3 pupusas and asked if there were anything else good? She just smiled. Wait time was 20mins. Definitely felt like a take out spot. read more

Ordered 3 pupusas, just to try it out. The sign outside says carryout, so I was worried it wouldn't be an eat in sort of place. There were about 5 tables and window seats, so you can definitely eat in. The pupusas took a long time to make (longer than you would expect for 3 pupusas) , but they were big and hot and fresh. I might like a more crispy pupusa or a tangier sauce, but I think that's more my personal preference. P. S. If you don't speak Spanish you might have to wait for an English speaking employee to come back from break. read more

This little spot is tucked away in a shopping center, and appears to be a mom and pop type spot. Nothing fancy just good food with a limited menu. To me as long as you rock at those nine dishes I have no problem with it. Everything we ate was definitely delicious, and packed outstanding flavor and with decent portions, plus the tortillas were homemade and fresh. They were also not shy with adding avocado to entrees. The horchata was awesome creamy cinnamon goodness 5 stars for that alone. My reason for 3 stars is that they have no marked prices. If you only have 9 dishes then it should be easy to post a price. Our order total was $21.50 for one carne asada plate, two carne asada tacos and one horchata. Only item I know the price of was the horchata $2.35. I'm guessing my tacos were around $7 and the carne asada plate was $12 but I hate not knowing the specifics especially when it's cash only. In theory if my guesstimate is correct that the prices are decent but still super annoying that I don't know for sure. I feel like depending on who orders the prices could be different :/ read more

Friend lived in Fredericksburg and we stopped by here for some lunch. Loooked up Pupuseria in Yelp and this location came up. It's called Pupuseria Elizabeth now. Great pupusas at a great price. Real delicious and legit like they do in El Salvador. Friendly personnel and likely to come back if were ever in the area. Small little spot that feels family friendly. read more

Good food and large portions are huge. Door Dash delivery was quick. The sweet fried plantains were very good as well.

I believe it has been renamed to "Pupuseria Elizabeth" now... Okay, I haven't done this in a while but this crap pissed me off last night and it's not often that I get upset with anyone... This is actually quite a good place to eat (hole in the wall) but customer service absolutely sucks and gather there is a language barrier, I am okay with it... I was at the door at 8:04pm trying to open the freaking door (the lady staring right at me) and the establishment clearly says 9:30pm closing time...I am literally standing at the door looking at the person inside and she didn't have the decency to tell me sorry we decided to close early... This is legit Salvadorian in Fredericksburg, VA. The funny part is I'm training in a store with a Salvadorian manager. I asked where we can get pupusas and such, and he said "only near Arlington." So I "YELPED IT." Lo and behold this little gem came up. Maybe it's because I've travelled to South & Central America but I do not consider this place "a dump" at all. It's a very very clean little home-cooked meal restaurant in a little strip mall. I had the #4 combo. Could there be anything better to put in your gullet than chicharron con yucca? (Chicharron= beautifully seasoned and roasted large pork chunks, that are then deep fried for that sinister outer crispiness. Yucca= Cassava root, (starchier than a potato root veggie), that is deep fried. (Will make you want this over fries ALWAYS). These are served with "curtido." Slightly tangy, marinated cabbage that goes perfect with this as with the...drum roll... PUPUSAS!! This Spaniard/Puerto Rican LOVES pupusas! A pupusa is a traditional Salvadoran dish made of a thick, handmade corn tortilla that is usually filled with one or a combination of: cheese, refried beans, aforementioned chicharron ground to a paste consistency, (insert Angelic Hallelujah chorus), and "loróco." We came here for lunch a couple of days ago. I had cheese pupusas and my husband had carne asada and horchata. The cheese pupusas were reasonably priced and good. The carne asada was overpriced and okay but not very good. Please note that it is cash only. I found it strange that their prices are not posted. read more

My wife and i love this place. The only thing we ever get is the carne asada tacos and the pork and cheese pupusas...yummy!

Everything here is good, but skip the tacos the tortillas are too thick. They take cash only, and there is about 3 tables that you can sit down. So its best to take it go other than that awesome food! read more

Dont order from here!!! Ever since it changed owners this place has been so gross. Restaurant is clean and has some new additions to the decor , but every time i order pupusas at least one has a very long black hair in it!!!!
