I now live in Tahoe full-time and have used many other local cleaning services for my vacation…read morerental here. My rental is my only source of income so when the cleaners were late or things were broken and not fixed because I was not notified, guests would not have the best experience. I even caught one group of Mexican cleaners putting sheets just in dryer and not even washing them! That's when I started doing all the laundry myself! Unfortunately, some circumstances in my life caused me to not be able to actively manage the rental as I use to. I was in dire need of people who could do more, get the job done, and communicate with me and let me know they hear me when I communicate with them. Finding Vacation rental assistance was a complete miracle for me. Not only are they on top of the cleaning, (and all linens are provided by them and taken off sight for professional laundering) but many smaller maintenance issues as well and making sure the hot tub is cleaned and serviced between every set of guests. Their pricing is extremely fair, and I believe they earn it by keeping me informed of anything needed so I'm consistently receiving 5 star reviews from my guests. Which results in more bookings! I get pictures of any issues noticed after a guest leaves, which takes away a lot of stress! When they heard my beloved dog died, I even received flowers and a card. That's special. The professionalism via pre and post inspection reports, and ability to have a 24 hour on call handy man if you choose really makes owning a vacation rental much less stressful. Thanks to VRA I'm able to focus on my own healing and do more of giving back to my community. They are the most thorough, polite, professional, fair, people I've met in this industry, and I'm really so grateful for their whole team from the top down.

Adam provided a great welcome and was very pleasant, patient and instructful. I hope workers like Adam are well appreciated by their employer for their diligence and working knowledge. We could very well have been stuck out in the cold for quite some time if it hadn't been for Adam. The condo was very comfortable and a nice refuge for a few nights. A little dated in decor but with all the conveniences you could need for a pleasurable stay. Clean and quiet in an incredibly beautiful setting. We will be back.

Six of us just came back from a weekend there, and it was a very nice rental! It sleeps up to 7 people, on 3 twin beds and 2 queens. There was free wireless and even a laptop available for guest use. The kitchen was well-stocked with plates, glasses, and basic tools; there were lots of extra blankets if you got cold (which we didn't); and the furniture was comfortable and pretty good quality. Gas fireplace. The house was childproofed, which didn't matter to us, but was a nice touch. The only drawback was really the stairs. There are stairs up to the front door, and the condo is 3 stories. So going from the street to the master bedroom, you have to climb three flights of stairs, which is hard to do when you first arrive at altitude, or are carrying ski gear! Also, the stairs outside stayed icy all day, and one person slipped and fell quite hard. Be sure to completely fill out your parking pass. Even though it says it's valid for three weeks, you have to fill out the expiration date or you will get a ticket or be towed.

Room temperature maintained by a gas fireplace controlled by the wall thermostat. Cozy vibes. Pretty spacious room for relaxing after being out, with a separate table and chairs, which we used to play a board game. Furniture was newer and reasonably comfortable. Parking close to the rooms. Waterfront right across the street and a little cafe in walking distance for quite bites. Bathroom was standard but the water pressure was very low. You also have to open a high window to vent to avoid the alarm going off. Bed was comfortable and the room looked renovated. All in all, it worked out pretty well for a quick stay. TIP: The first floor rooms in the back are kind of below ground. Front faces the pool, but you have to go down stairs from parking to get to the room.

I found the bed exceptionally comfortable--firm but still cushy. The room felt spacious without being overly large, and the live gas fireplace was perfect for an otherwise chilly spring day here in Lake Tahoe. The bathroom was OK--nothing special but nothing terrible either. Except maybe the shower, which had very little water pressure and hard to adjust temp control. I was an also a little disappointed that there wasn't an open lobby for checking in; everything for our stay was handled by phone. It was also a little weird to have to walk downstairs from the parking lot to our room, but it was fine. That said, our room was poolside and we also had a view of Lake Tahoe out our sliding glass door. All in all, for the great price we got I really can't complain. It's a great option--and walking distance to Pep's for breakfast is a big plus.

There is a private beach for lake activities and only 15min from Northstar ski resort. Safeway grocery store is less than 1/4mile away and lots of restaurants close by. Unfortunately there is only one parking space per unit and any additional cars must be parked off the property. There is trash and towel service twice a week. Laundry facilities are free but there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire property. Detergent is $2 and can be purchased at the front desk. Because of a snow storm we could not make it on the first day and arrived late on the second day. The staff at the front desk (Erin, Kelly, Kailee) were all accommodating with the late check-in process and texted instructions on how to retrieve our card keys since the office close at 6pm.

Bed, even though a Murphy is quite comfortable. Having your own assigned parking spot is super convenient. After hours check in was straight forward & easy. The private & protected swim/kayake launch area is great. BBQ's are plentiful & work great. Loved watching the sunrise & sunset from the pier. Had a great time playing ping pong. Full kitchen is stocked & great for preparing meals. The not so great: Temperature in the room runs warm, no matter what you do. We left most windows open 24/7 & were still warm - even with snow outside. To complicate that - leaf blowers...run all day long. Do they carry around extra batteries? No joke - from 8am to after 5pm, it doesn't stop. When you have to leave windows open to not boil in the room - the noise from the leaf blowers = nousicance. The pillows are crazy full. Make your neck hurt firm. I ended up filling my own pillowcase with a small blanket I brought. If you trade through II, for a sleeps 2 privately/with a kitchen - that's exactly what you get. A room with a kitchen in it. It's pretty intimate to co-habitate for a week together. We did ok but it would be awkward if your not super close/familiar with each other. $25 a day "resort fee", no matter what the season & no matter what type of room you have. No kayakes, no pool - doesn't matter = $25 a day. We won't be back, unfortunately. Might be better in a larger unit during a different time of year.

I had a great experience snowshoeing at the Northstar Cross Country Center!…read more I purchased a pass for $71 (steep, but cheaper than skiing so whatever!) and road the gondola up to the center. It was easy to get there from the village and there is clear signage directing guests to the center. Plus, the gondola is scenic and fun! The staff were super friendly and helpful. They reviewed the trail map with me and gave me route recommendations based on the trail conditions following a week of heavy snow. The center is equipped with hot water and clean restrooms. I especially appreciated the Caboose Warming Hut along my route - it was such a treat enjoying a warm beverage in a snowy meadow as I took a break from snowshoeing. There were plenty of scenic trails to explore and I enjoyed the views of the lake about 3.5 miles from the center. I brought my own snowshoes and trekking poles, but they have rental gear if needed. This was a fun way to spend the day while my friends went skiing. Definitely beats waiting in the village. ;)

I have held a season pass to Northstar Ski Resort for six consecutive years; however, an experience…read moreat the resort left me feeling utterly frustrated. The conditions here seem to deteriorate with each passing year. First, the resort's mobile app is extremely unreliable. The app often indicates that certain trails have just been groomed by snowcats, yet when I actually go to ski them, I discover that several runs clearly haven't seen a groomer in days. This dissemination of false information is not only misleading but also jeopardizes skier safety and severely detracts from the overall guest experience. Furthermore, last month, the Comstock lift experienced frequent operational failures, attributable to staff handling, which clearly demonstrates an urgent need for professional staff training. Second, the management here appears to be extremely lax. During the early morning hours a time when operational efficiency should be at its absolute peak, staff members were observed sitting around chatting in plain sight, completely neglecting their duties. This lackadaisical attitude projects an image of extreme unprofessionalism to the public. Worse still, a male employee working at the ski lifts displayed a rude and highly aggressive attitude. This abysmal level of customer service is absolutely unacceptable, particularly at a ski resort that is supposed to prioritize the "guest experience" above all else. In summary, this was a deeply disappointing experience. Management must take full responsibility for the current situation and immediately implement measures to effectively enhance staff training and supervision. I hope the next ski season brings with it a completely renewed experience.
