So, once I arrived I decided to try it out rather than backtrack to my intended destination. Upon entry I was greeted by three or four employees and seated immediately. The waitress brought me ice water and I also ordered coffee, which was very good. I looked over the menu and chose my favorite breakfast when in the Valley; Huevos a la Mexicana. The breakfast plate also comes with fried potatoes, refried beans and either toast or choice of tortillas. I always choose corn tortillas and these are very good, appearing to be home made vs typical store bought. They are thicker and have a more pronounced corn flavor. When my breakfast arrived I was surprised at the portion size, particularly the eggs. It was indeed, a large portion. It were filled with lots of diced onion, jalapeños and tomato and all appeared to be grilled prior to being added to the scrambled eggs. I also asked for salsa verde and this definitely did not disappoint. It was creamy and very spicy. Not thin and vinegary. It's the salsa verde that takes this dish over the top. The fried potatoes were the typical fare, cubed and fried. Maybe a bit larger dice than usual, but still cooked through and a bit crunchy. The refried beans were better than most places and had more flavor. I really enjoyed them. As stated earlier, the tortillas were good with a bit of chew to them, not thin and falling apart. And the coffee was really good for a restaurant that doesn't specialize in coffee. Rich, robust but not burned tasting. My cup never ran dry as the waiters/waitresses were always around, ready to top it off. The price was reasonable too. Not as cheap as one place I go to frequently but not as high as most small cafe/restaurants locally. I have returned three times in the weeks following my first visit. I can see this becoming my new favorite breakfast joint here in the RGV. Drop in and give them a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have no pictures but the pozole well season so tasty and a huge portion. I had the combo two barbacoa tacos and the pozole both so good, garnished with cilantro, cebolla, lemon and cabbage. The mimosa tower and the mini pancakes were my dessert !! There was some dancing and After a very satisfying breakfast we had a tequila, this a Mexican tradition to have it as a digestive not as a shot ! A nice surprise was that it was served with both lemon and oranges slides also very traditional in Mexican Restaurants ! So while in Mc Allen it's a must you go and visit !

If it were busy I get it but when there is only 2 tables in the restaurant come on. Yet when the men in suits walk in they waited not even a minute and had thier menus at the table. I hadn't even finished my food when she was asking if we wanted the tab already. I should have asked if she was kicking us out already. My husband felt like we were being judged and treated like we didnt have money. Then when she brings us our change she is standing there waiting for the tip. I am a server myself and never treat guest based on how they are dressed and much less wait for a tip.

I saw maybe 2-3 people sending back their steaks because it wasn't cooked to their request. It's either too cooked or under cooked. Their rolls always hit the spot!! I live down the road and frequent this restaurant every few weeks. Dining has always been pleasant,…read moreno issues there, but I have issues every time I get to-go. Specifically, last time I waited in my car as expected. I was listening to a podcast and didn't realize it had been 30 minutes past my pickup time and they still hadn't brought it out. Had to go up to the window, the girl let me know their texting service doesn't work, and my food was cold. I was upset but took it home and ate it disappointed because I didn't want to wait even longer. Learned my lesson and came later than the expected pickup time, parked, when I texted it said it wasn't ready so I waited 10 minutes before proceeding to the window. It took forever for anyone to come to the window, and even more time the 2nd time when I realized there was stuff missing from the bag. It wasn't until 20 minutes later that I got a text saying my food was ready and they were bringing it to my car. In total I was there 25+ minutes, every curbside spot was taken and I never saw a single employee take food to the cars. It makes me wonder if there really is something wrong with their texting line or if they're poorly managed and it's a "them" problem. The whole point of curbside service is so I don't have to get out of my car. But this restaurant makes it really difficult and makes me not want to get pickup from them anymore.

Hey its either flat or point muscle, the flats for pastrami and corned beef. You straight up eat the point. Very thick cuts, a sign that it's over cooked. No bark on any pieces so I can't speak to there rub. Mac & Cheese was good flavor but a little dry. I love the gooey stuff. Overall we will go back again if we are in the area.

People don't mind paying for food, but seriously make it worth the price you charge. The sourdough bread they serve is NOT sourdough - AWFUL. The fajitas are okay, but again, the portion is ridiculously SMALL. The chips are SOGGY, even after asking for more and mentioning the problem, we got more of the same. The ONLY THING that was good, was the lemonade. The wait for everything is LONG. The wait would have been okay IF the food would have been worth the wait, but sadly, IT WAS NOT. I have to give a star in order to leave a review and this is the ONLY reason it gets 1 star. -UNDERWHELMING-
