The food was so good from here I forgot to take a photoI ordered the green chilaquiles and it was tangy just the way I like my green sauce. My chilaquiles stayed crunchy even with the salsa and crema. I also ordered a lemonade and it was made fresh. Not too sweet or too sour. The service was great they gave us chips and salsa to start with and they have music playing on tvs inside so you're not sitting in silence. I highly recommend trying their food and you can also order breakfast and lunch items during dinner which I appreciate. read more

We are visiting from California and we're obviously not locals. Our waitress picked up on this quickly and could not have been nicer. She gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu and offered to answer any questions we might have. I decided on a dish called huevos divorciados. I got it because I've never had it before and it looked vegetarian. It was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and it had two sauces, a red and a green. They were completely different in taste but both were fantastic. The heat level was just enough to give a mild burn but not overpower the flavor. It came with refried beans, potatoes, and tortillas. They were all good. One of my sons got an egg and ham scramble. I stole a bite, and it was delicious. Eggs were scrambled just the way I like them, which is cooked just enough not to be runny. My other son got a waffle plate. It was huge and he was absolutely thrilled with his breakfast. My husband got enchiladas mexicanas. He loved it. Another person in our group ordered tacos matamoros. They loved their food too. The restaurant is clean, the chips and salsa station was well stocked, everything was tasty, and the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

I love small non-chain restaurants because they tend to have genuine personal service and are interested that the food is good. YaYa's was exactly that. Many of the patrons seemed local and known by the staff. The server noticed that we were not familiar and did a great job of giving us time to peruse the menu and answering questions. I personally had the fajita enchiladas which were great. The portion sizes were hearty, so I also sampled everyone else's food in my party as well. I gotta give some props to the tacos Matamoros. My go to place for breakfast tacos. I always get their potato and egg taco with beans, cheese, avocado, strip of bacon, and it is absolutely heaven on earth. They used to have this amazing creamy salsa verde but it's gone so that made this place less addicting. There is a good torterilla Aries close by that carries salsa tamalera, which is a good replacement for their missing creamy salsa verde. I've visited this place enough that they remember me from my order. I wouldn't come back here as often if this place wasn't delicious. Highest recommendation! read more

Came here after I flew in from Houston and man I am so glad I did! I didn't know what to get because everything sounded amazing! This food was absolutely amazing. I talked about how good it was hours and hours after the meal. Inside was nice with a bunch of old school picture frames. Felt homey but they should somehow open space up or switch table placements, could feel a bit crowded. Waiters seem kind of understaffed and rushed. We were really excited to try this place out since we pass by frequently. Menu options are really what makes Yaya's stand out from other "Mexican" restaurants. The reason I give it 4of5 my breakfast was luke warm and my eggs looked like they were the first on there since the flattop was turned on and it was used to clean. Potatoes were delicious and the salsa on the eggs was very flavorful I will say! We had the picadillo and asado gorditas and they were on point! First off we were expecting a different restaurant. Evidently the restaurant we selected based upon Yelp reviews has closed and another business, Ya Ya's has taken over. That was not only a surprise, but also led to a disappointing experience as the new business doesn't serve as extensive of menu. We came expecting certain items and those weren't available any longer. The food was ok, but nothing special. In fact I wished we'd driven a block further and gone back to La Estacion Bakery. The prices are about the same. The food and service are vastly superior. We won't be back. read more

Was in town for the weekend with friends. This place was amazing. Chorizo and egg cooked just right. It was not runny nor greasy or over cooked. After the experience here I'll definitely be going to the local chain restaurant that had excellent service and better pricing and food. our party of three sat down and got menus several minutes after two other tables that arrived after us. I found the menu to be limited with no appetizers. We eventually ordered, food came out. Food was almost average. The tostada's tasted like they were fried in same oil as fish. Two in our party hate fish and seafood. No offers for refills or to check on us ever came during our meal. I got myself to refill drinks for all of us and get hot sauce to get rid of nasty fish taste of my chicken tostada. The pricing for quality of food was a rip off. For some insane reason my family went here again a few days later. The tortillas were half raw, meat was obviously remnants of remaining pieces of cooked meat of the day and the bun of one dish was deep fried, foul smelling. If poor food and service is offered since you will be closing soon, turn customers away instead! I do not lie when I say after both visits 2 out of 3 customers had stomach issues for several hours. read more

The food was bland but I guess it was ok for some. I have to say though that I won't be returning to this restaurant. There's one thing that puzzles me about the food service of some of the Mexican restaurants in my nearby area. Some places don't include steamed tortillas with the meal. I don't understand that. I really enjoy having tortillas with my meal. I had to pay extra for two tortillas here at YaYa's. It seems like a little thing to include a couple of tortillas with the meal but it makes a BIG difference to me in my enjoyment of the meal and overall experience of the restaurant. You can go to Walmart and buy a dozen tortillas for 99 cents, so what's the big deal to include a couple with the order ?? Ok, enough with my ranting...YaYa's is just another mediocre Mexican restaurant in my humble opinion. I've had much, much better food and value elsewhere. read more
