Corner of E and 2nd one of two unique seating areas

A Davis icon coffee shop. They really love their brew!!! And they serve amazing tea and pastries also. Certain times of the UCD academic year and the time of day really impact avails of seats inside but there is patio seats and some new unique seating areas on the sidewalks on the corner of E and 2nd.

Have always seen this place packed to the brim with students studying and have always wanted to try! It was good- the coffee was enjoyable and the pastry was sweet. The chocolate muffin could have been more rich in flavor but I still enjoyed it. I can see how this place is a nice place to study solo. The workers were nice too!

This is a view from the back of the business. You order in the front, and the drinks come out in the back,

Pete's closed downtown, so I've been in search of a regular coffee joint, Mishka's Coffee have a dessert case, where you can be tempted by pastries, where you can pickup a pastry to go along with your beverage. The service is pretty brisk. It is usually full of people, lots of students being studious. There are all sorts of cool posters on the wall.

Mint latte was pretty good ($7 after tax and tip). Cafe stays super busy but the seats are rotating in availability if you are willing to wait. I like how they play jazz music instead of songs with lyrics (makes it easier to do work). WiFi connects but it doesn't work so I had to use a hotspot. There's outlets to charge along the wall or at the booth seats. 2 hour parking right outside if you're lucky!

Passing through, I needed to use a bathroom and while I was at it, get a beverage too. Whoweeee! I got a mint latte! It is so strong I think my hair is growing in stronger now! I can't finish my drink but it will definitely useful tomorrow morning! LOL!

Probably should've taken a picture when this was full but it was a snickerdoodle latte

What we got: Drinks -Snickerdoodle latte 3.5/5. Creamy and not too sweet, but would've preferred the flavor of snickerdoodle spices to come through a bit more (somewhat muted). Decent price. Aesthetic/Design 4/5 -Larger space though tables are pretty close together and when we went it was pretty packed so expect not a lot of room to maneuver if busy. Tables outside available for seating which is nice (assuming weather is good). Warm colors with decor & design that evokes a rustic, old school cafe vibe. Service 3.5/5 Probably because they're crowded often, more about getting the order down and out! Not rude though which is saying a lot for how many customers they get! Ordered 2 lattes of the same flavor that did take a while but again, wasn't too much of an excessive wait considering the high load of people they have to cater to.

Stopped by for coffee and it was pretty busy already by 8:30 on a Saturday morning! They have a great location in the middle of downtown Davis. I wanted to try one of their seasonal drinks so I chose the pumpkin latte since I saw on their Instagram that they make their pumpkin syrup in house. Unfortunately the drink was not pumpkin enough. The top of the drink is covered in cinnamon and it was all I could taste despite trying to mix the drink as much as possible. As a result it just tasted like a cinnamon latte. My husband's drink was much better, love that they had a dirty Thai Tea here (it's called Jolted Thai). They also have an impressive pastry case so lots of things to choose from for you to enjoy with your coffee! The service is truly hit or miss. The guy was super nice but the girl could not crack a smile or say thank you. You could barely even hear her behind the protective screen at the cashier, and she looked so annoyed that I bothered to even ask about our blueberry muffin even though she was the one who never gave it to us... I'll consider coming back to try other drinks in the future since they have a good selection of seasonal options, and I'd love to upgrade my rating, but for now today's first experience was so-so.

Great coffee spot in Davis. Great selection of coffee and pastries and treats. The staff are always friendly and the coffee good. Sometimes it is too busy so I usually get it to go. But typical small city coffee hangout. Great local spot that students and locals alike share. Give it a go. Only downsides is it is a little pricey and sometimes there is a wait.

This place was super cute and the service was amazing!! They accidentally made one of our drinks cold instead of hot and were so kind about fixing up a new drink quickly. I had the secret garden latte, which is one of the seasonal drinks, it was lavender and rose and it was such a delicious combination! Our barista also helped recommend a drink to my mom who is always very indecisive, and she was very happy with her drink!

I got the pecan bar here and the iced chai latte. It was just ok, the chai latte was super watered down and not memorable. The pecan bar was delicious and so decadent. I love that they served it chilled and it tasted super fresh. Would recommend coming here for the pastries, kind service, and lovely ambiance. I love the tables and the little placards on them as well.

Came in specifically for the Miso caramel latte and Pandan Latte. I've had plenty of miso caramel lattes and what I love about it is a good contrast of your savory/salt you get from the miso paste and something sweet like caramel. What I'm missing is the sweet. Don't get me wrong I don't love things overly sweet but it lacks enough caramel to have a good juxtaposition because I got mostly salt and savory. If I order this in the future I would just ask for maybe a little more caramel. The star of the coffees was the Pandan latte. Pandan is green and reinforces a coconut type of flavor. It's bold enough with out feeling like it's over wheeling in syrup, so they balance it well. The plus is texture when they include a coconut toffee on top. Which apparently they make in house (per the barista). Staff was super friendly and helpful and the coffee came out ok about 8ish minutes.

High ceilings, wooden flooring, spacious and tables are not cramped on top of each other. Excellent space to work or meet friends. There are two kiosks for self ordering. It's green matcha foam on top, then this bright blue liquid and white/milk bottom. Once you mix it, it becomes a turquois color. It also taste really good. Refreshing coconut milk/water, subtle sweetness (70% sugar) and strong matcha. When you get to the bottom, you get the bits of coconut. So ofc when I was in town, I had to try it. This "Molly Tea" is not the same as the Bay Area's (no store listed in Davis on the official Molly Tea website) and is also known as "jasmine tea house" on Google Maps which confused me. Walking in there was a very unpleasant smell, almost like bleach/chlorine mixed with jasmine tea fragrance. (Not great!) We sat outside. However the drinks were not bad. Not as "presentable" as the authentic Molly Tea (no fancy straw or seal), but the osmanthus oolong milk tea was on par taste wise. Overall, it's a good "knock off molly tea" and satisfied our boba craving. It's good enough for Davis but def lacks the polish of real Molly Tea's.
