I stopped by here on a whim on a weekday around lunchtime to grab a drink. It was surprisingly empty, which means I had very minimal wait time. I got the grapefruit yakult drink with lychee jelly at 25% sweetness and less ice. I was looking for a caffeine free drink. This really fit the bill. I found it to taste really good, I'll be a little sweet for my taste, but I also prefer my drinks on the less sweet side. The shop itself is fine, nothing really to write home about but clean enough. It's a little bit cramped because they have like a clothing rack and stuff in there, but it works. I liked the little outdoor seating area. The staff and service was fine. Nothing really to write home about but nothing bad either! I do think the owner of the shop was there when I stopped by and having a conversation with another staff member, but didn't bother me at all. Looking forward to coming back and trying their other drinks. It looks like they have some really interesting and creative things. I Was greeted right away. U order on a kiosk. They have unique drinks. They have a purple rice drink which I thought was interesting. I wasn't in an adventurous mood so I just got a fresh taro milk with boba. I recommend getting lychee or the popping bobas with any frozen drink as they are small sweet bursts of flavor. The frozen coconut was delicious and even better with the bobas/lychee. Formerly known as Akira, this spot RULES! I've been coming here for years and have tried pretty much all their brewed teas and fruit teas. Their menu is huge with lots of options, which is always exciting if you're like me and don't get many milk teas. The teas are consistently good and their lychee jelly is always a good texture (nice and firm). I get my teas at 50-75% sweet since they can definitely taste too sweet. Service is consistently good. The staff tend to keep to themselves, which is pretty typical for a boba shop, though they are friendly and approachable if you have questions. The prices are also consistently good! My drink came out to $5.50 post-taxes for YEARS! They did recently change their prices, but only by about 50 cents per drink. I am still paying less than $6 for my weekly treat, which I'd say is fantastic! read more

I tried the red bean & mochi with coffee boba with 50% sugar. I was excited to taste the mochi but very disappointed as it was just very mushy. It's like a soggy unsweetened mushy marshmallow. Pretty good! I had their taro milk with boba and tried a few sips of their strawberry mochi drink. The taro drink was just okay; could use a lot more taro as it tasted mostly like sweet milk. The strawberry mochi drink however was delicious! The texture of the drinkable mochi was amazing but a bit hard to get through the straw. Perfect sweet, fruity, and creamy drink. Some drinks lean more towards the expensive side but others are average priced. The tax here is pretty insane though. Minimal wait time when we came here on a Saturday night. They seem to sell authentic Chinese/Taiwanese snacks which I want to try. Inside is kept clean with some searing. Overall pretty solid spot. read more

Hubby go to is the Thai tea, I love the hulk and the black sesame tornado drink as well (can go wrong with creme brûlée in your drink) They have a Korean dessert that's a shaved of ice that is so delicious and it's called bingsoo. The portions are always so big and generous there I feel. And for the price you're paying you are definitely getting a deal and value here. The other fun dessert here is the different flavours egg waffles they have like green matcha tea with red bean, earl grey, and even black sesame flavour. If you want to step it up you can have it with ice cream and fresh fruit. There's different things for everybody caffeinated and non-caffeinated. Excited to try their new selection of sago drinks, so now there are three locations in Davis with sago drinks. When you walk in, you order at the tablets (able to collect points through Muncho), able to still pay in cash at the front counter. More self serve, wasn't greeted when I came in. Went around 8pm, I ordered a mango pomelo sago, original egg puff, and a Oreo ice cream egg puff. The orders took about 20 - 25 minutes, there were two online orders, and two orders before me. Really good value for all the items. As for the items, the Oreo ice cream waffle cone ($10.95), contains scoops of ice cream and sesame paste, the cone also contains ice cream as well, so great if you want a variety of desserts. The ice cream puff is a lot, but egg puffs get soggy unfortunately. As for the mango pomelo sago ($5.50), pretty creamy, but I wished there more pomelo in the drink, definitely would get it again. Egg puffs ($5.60) lacked some flavor compared to other egg puffs I had. Might give it another try. read more

Came here for the first time today - flawlessly easy experience. I ordered from Muncho - chicken karage and brown sugar boba milk tea for my kid ($15ish total). Pretty decent for boba. It is a bit on the outskirts of Davis I'd say, so it's sort of out of the way of the downtown area. It was pretty okay priced and the drinks tasted decent. We got the black milk tea by itself which was a bit flavorless with less sugar as well as the matcha drink which tasted pretty good! The boba was soft and the matcha was not too overpowering. The interior is pretty cute and really homely, which makes for a pleasant wait as the drinks are coming out. On top of that, they offer lots of different options for dessert such as shaved ice, egg waffles, and so on so there's a lot to check out! The only boba place (that I know of) that serves hojicha milk tea! Used to be Old Teahouse, but they're currently closed due to U-Mall construction. Sweetness level and ice level were accurate imo. I did 75% sweet and less ice and it was perfectly semi-sweet. Waited less than 10 mins for my drink and it was quite busy (door dash orders and a group in front of me in line). I've also had their coffee before and was pleasantly surprised! The only con is that their indoor seating is a bit limited compared to other boba places but it's location lends to an "on the go" boba experience. They also have a few tables and board games available. The location is convenient, right off the G/J line and also next to Save Mart, Fire Wings, Taqueria Guadalajara. Plus, the price is competitive! This place has been our newest obsession since we are constantly looking for new boba spots! It's near one of the parks we love taking our dog and it's always got a good selection of different boba drinks! Our absolute fave is the winter melon milk tea at 75 % sweetness, it's true perfection! Not many places make this drink but this has the perfect tea flavor and it's not too sweet and just creamy enough! The boba sometimes is a bit hard when we've gotten it, it's a bit of a hit or miss. Their rose tie guan yin is also another fave, the tea flavor is super strong and it's really reminiscent of TP teas tie guan yin! We also love their egg waffles, we have tried the Mochi egg waffles and the regular egg waffles, and we honestly love the regular ones way more! It's got the airy but chewy consistency and it's slightly sweet! We haven't had the chance to try their bing soo, but hopefully when it's not so cold we will! New boba place in Davis! Well, new to me at least. We stopped here as soon as they opened to grab some drinks before shopping. Even though they just opened, it still took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. They have limited capacity and contactless ordering screens inside, but the ordering process doesn't take your phone number, so you're unable to easily determine if your drinks are ready inside without having to go back in to keep checking the counter. As for the actual drinks, my Oreo Boba Cake Milk Tea was a little bland considering it has puff cream on the cup and filled with Oreos. The boba wasn't terrible but definitely not the freshest I've had. My husband had the League of Legend drink which was a coffee milk tea. It was also on the watery side and didn't have a strong coffee flavor, and he ended up tossing it after only drinking less than half. Maybe we just had the wrong drinks but considering they were both on their specialty menu, I'm not sure we will have this on our list of places to return when we are in town. read more

The boba teas here are delicious! My daughter loves this place so we usually visit once per month. The Thai Tea with boba is my favorite! It's the basic boba, but still delicious nonetheless. The service is always quick and customer service is great! There's not a lot of room inside, so we usually don't stay- we get our bobas to go. The exterior and interior of the shop is very simple - it looks more like a coffee shop than a boba shop. Ordering is through the kiosk - no service at all. I was intrigued by their cute cups/cup sleeves, but it is all gimmicky. They did not have the cute looking bunny cup/cup sleeve available when I went. The drinks were not that great either. I tried the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba and Mango Smoothie with boba. The milk tea was bitter, not sweet at all, and watered down. I love the teas here! I got a Jasmine Milk Tea with grass jelly. I didn't get 100% sweet, but I got 25% (definitely a strong tea flavor which I like). In terms of my grass jelly topping, I was slightly a little sad when I reached the end of my drink and got a giant square block of the jelly. I was sorta expecting more of like smaller chunks that I can sip through my straw since that's how grass jelly is served in other boba shops. Other than that, I think price range is also reasonable as well! They have 2 kiosks in the store as well as a cashier which I thought was pretty cool!
