Upon entering there's a kiosk with a detailed menu of everything they offer and their Ten principles, one about the Perfect Drink Guarantee caught my eye, emphasizing they value the quality of their drinks and customer satisfaction. Our two drinks with toppings came out to be $10 and ready within 5-7 minutes of ordering. We ordered their Teabo Signature Black Milk Tea with boba and a Custom Blended Fruit Tea with crystal boba. I wanted to try their boba for sure since all of the reviews mentioned how divine it is. And I was happily surprised with the quality of their boba so late into the night. I've always liked Teabo for their drinks and food. I used to come here in college when it was the only boba place in town. I don't live in the area anymore, so I only stop by Teabo for a treat when I'm on my way home. I usually get the chotaro (chocolate and taro) green milk tea with boba and their popcorn chicken. Although their boba isn't the best, it satisfies my craving when I want something affordable. I'll always enjoy the chotaro green milk tea flavor though. I also like that they give a generous amount of popcorn chicken and that it isn't too spicy. The service was a little slow during my last visit, but it's not always like that. Sometimes I order online, and just five minutes later, I get a text saying both my drink and food are ready. Teabo Cafe has always had a chill vibe. Kind of disappointed. Paid like $30 on DoorDash ($21 to Teabo) for a milk tea and some popcorn chicken with two sauces. Milk tea was good but they added the wrong topping, I got no star jelly (like just put lychee jelly on the menu if you don't have the star version). The popcorn chicken was good but dry to eat without any sauce. I paid 60 cents each for sweet chili and spicy ranch, but received none. Teabo put "DOUBLE CHECK THIS ITEM" on their receipt too, but they obviously don't follow their own policies. Overall the food and drinks taste good, you just don't get the items that you pay for. The tea is over-steeped. The workers don't know how long the tea steeps for and, according to them, their boss has it made in large condensed batches instead of making the tea to order. Sugar is the only thing that makes this palatable and even then it's soapy. When I bought a boba (green tea, soy milk, with aloe, and lychee stars, zero sugar) the same tea I normally get at any other boba place, I got home to a soapy mess that was so disgusting I washed the boba and brewed my own homemade tea to use with the boba--which was at least okay. I called Teabo and said the tea was over-steeped. The customer service script ensued and they barely wanted to do anything about it but eventually said if I came by tomorrow night during one specific employee's shift, they would make me the same tea just not over-steeped. They changed nothing. Except this time they also forgot the lychee stars, even with a printed receipt provided. The tea was disgustingly over-steeped and this time without the sweetness of the lychee stars tasted worse. I called again and found out the workers have no idea how their tea is made. Their boss has others in the back make drinks in huge batches with unknown steep times. At that point I asked for a refund which they refused to provide. If you actually like tea, not just sugar loaded milk, avoid this place and go anywhere else. It's worth the wait and it only takes 2-3 minutes to steep green tea anyway. read more

I went to Teabo at least once every couple of weeks when I lived in Davis for undergrad. It was great-- fast service, good boba, delicious tea! I always got jasmine milk tea, half sweet, with half boba and half lychee stars. Lychee stars are awesome because they fit up the straw instead of getting stuck like the lychee jelly strips other places sometimes use. Coming back to visit, I of course had to stop by here! Unfortunately the tea quality was way different this time. The service was still fast, and the boba and lychee stars were still good, but the tea was kind of bitter and almost burnt/oversteeped tasting. Apart from the cute panda mascot, nothing really stands out about this place. I ordered their signature drink, the teabo. The boba was really squishy and slimy, which is either a sign of old boba that had been sitting around for a while, or boba not cooked properly. I give this experience an A+, I ordered with no issues, easily got a table and was able to wait for our food while enjoying some awesome music with K-pop music videos playing on the tvs. seems like a well taken care of place enough. our seats were clean, board games neatly stacked in the space, available to play like apples to apples. I drink I got was #2 chocolate + taro Milk tea with boba and it was delicious. I love taro and never had this combo. it was such a refreshing mix of flavors went well with the cooked chewy boba. The drink came out soon after ordering and not long after then came the fresh rice plates. Before I thought to come here I couldn't decide where to go to get boba and a snack in Davis but IMO this was the perfect place for a late day snack and hit the spot. It was my first time trying these items but they were so good and filling we were even able to save half the plates for later which makes me happy knowing I'll have another snack for later!
