Little did we know, "a few minutes" meant 45+ minutes. To make matters worse, a table that sat down behind us well after we ordered and received their food in under 15 minutes. I was on the verge of walking out when my daughters' sushi finally arrived--but my soup was nowhere to be found. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I figured they were making it fresh. Another 15 minutes passed with no soup and no sign of our server. My daughters finished their rolls (which they did say were good), and the server finally brought the bill. Unsurprisingly, I was charged for the soup I never received. When I pointed it out, it was obvious he realized his mistake.
