They play it really loud to the point that conversation at your table is difficult and they play music with explicit lyrics so you are listening to the artists dropping f-bombs while eating. Mi so not happy! I've been here several times and the seaweed is always chewy. However today was our last time coming here. We had to wait 15mins for our first roll. One of my rolls had a weird taste I asked if I could send it back for another one the waitress said the owner is in so she would have to ask her and the owner said no. We even said we would pay the difference for a different roll. Still no. Then the power went out. We had to wait 20 mins to get our receipt. They offered us no refills on our drinks. Mistakes happen but there's no excuse for bad customer service. I asked for masago sushi and the server was confused so I specified smelt egg aka smelt roe. She brought me ikura or salmon roe. I said that's not what I asked for and tried to explain the difference. She told me I was wrong and I asked if she would like me to google it for her and show her a picture of the difference. She then replied "I don't care what google says" and literally snapped her fingers in my face and pointed at the menu. It was uncalled for and straight up rude. If you don't know the difference between types of roe that's no excuse to be straight up hostile when someone tries to educate you. Worst service ever. They forgot our water, tea, food. My kids ordered chicken bowls and it looked old. The threw some old lettuce on there and call it a salad. I paid 80$ for my kids to eat nothing. The menu looked confusing as hell. The rolls were okay but nothing to rave about. I ordered a Cajun tuna sushi and it tasted like nothing. In short - my favorite place in the AV for sushi. I see there is a lot of debate in the user reviews for Miso, I think it has more to do with the customers than the place itself. I have seen some of the rudest customers in this place. I see it a lot in sushi places, but poor Miso must have some kind of extra pushy, rude customer magnet in back somewhere. Just look at the way some of the negative commenters express themselves and think that will be proof enough. My wife and I have laughed for days over some of the rude customers we have seen at this place. We were glad we weren't the ones on the receiving end. I like the sushi chefs, especially Arthur. They have always been great to me and my wife. We followed several people from Wasabi's a little before it closed over to Miso when it opened. They do have to deal with some rude customers though and I am certain they intentionally mess with them. I think its funny and well deserved. Miso doesn't have the commercial atmosphere of Big Tuna and that's a big part of the reason I like to go there more. I feel like I have a personal relationship with the people there, and I think they are all very friendly and hard working. They have never denied me a special request to any roll I have gotten there, so people complaining about the selection there are most likely just limited by their own imagination. I think their roll selection is fine. My favorite roll here currently is called the Caliland -- its basically like sushi candy imo. They have another heavy tempura roll named after Lancaster that is good. I also like the Green Bamboo and Spider Rolls. The size of the rolls often varies from average to very large (like Lancaster Rolls). My wife loves the crispy tofu salad and pumpkin squash tempura. read more

If you've had your share of sushi from all over the place (state/country) this place will disappoint you. On one note, Bento box is not available for dinner, only for lunch, excluding Sundays. OK, so their all you can eat option is only available if you sit by the bar, which is a good concept in a way, except for the fact that we came as a big group. We couldn't fit sitting at the bar, so we basically couldn't have all you can eat. I mean we can, if we decided to split up and eat separately, which then defeats the purpose of gathering to have dinner lol! Also, they said AYCE doesn't offer all the sushi on the menu anyway, so I imagine they only have the basic rolls. I wouldn't know. They also said they don't have sashimi for the dinner AYCE. Wait, on a weekend dinner AYCE? What? This place is just a big ball of confusion for us (at least some of us). I've only had a couple of sushi rolls we had available and I wasn't impressed. If you don't eat sushi on the regular, or haven't had much sushi in different places, you'd think this place is good. Since I've had my share of sushi (granted, not the fresh ones from Japan), then this place is just meh for me. It's not bad, but if you're a sushi person, this will not hit the spot for you. I got the bulgogi and it was alright. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but not the end of the world. The salad that came with it though, it was a flop. Mine didn't have any dressing, at all. As in, the whole thing was dry, just leaves. My husband poured some of his dressing on mine, it was basically watered down soy sauce of some sort. I didn't get that either. I barely ate it. I don't know, this place is a let down for me taste wise. Then again, if you haven't had much of it or won't be ordering it, you'll be fine. To end the experience, one of the couple was charged for double the meal. I get it, there were a lot of us and confusion happens, but they wouldn't believe us that they overcharged us. There were like 3 other people that came back to us to verify the order because they said they brought out everything we ordered. Fine. If they really brought everything out, why are we missing an extra plate? We kept counting the plates for them, showing how the extra meal they are charging us for did not arrive to our table. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the Antelope Valley. I've tried so many more sushi restaurants and only one other rivals Miso for even an acceptable sushi restaurant. The service is usually good although at times they are a bit under staffed however the quality of the food doesn't suffer. Unlike some other AV sushi spots we've tried, the veg tempura is always hot and crispy. We also usually order the gyoza which are delicious, crispy and flavorful. We've tried a number of the sushi rolls of which none have disappointed. You can always taste all of the ingredients in the roll with excellent balance. They have a happy hour certain days of the week which is a great deal of you can make it. Overall, great sushi spot. Will continue to patronize as much as possible. read more

I used to actually prefer Miso over other AYCE sushi restaurants, but their quality and policies have changed that recently. The quality: their mackerel is where I noticed it the most. It used to be lighter and have a pleasant citrus flavor, but the last couple of trips I've noticed it is dry, tough and bland. Other fish I've noticed just don't pop with flavor the way they initially did. The overall flavor of rolls is still alright, but when you dissect them you notice the difference. Policy: The deal breaker for us was the limit on half rolls. I would go for lunch during the week and enjoyed doing half rolls because I could try a few more items without having to stuff myself or waste food. The last time we were in they told us they can't do half rolls on Fridays which was a major disappoint and came across as just another push to get us out the door faster. If I'm enjoying a meal at a restaurant that fresh prepares each item in front of me I don't have much interest in having the feeling they are encouraging me to leave sooner. From a business standpoint I understand their reasoning (Friday's are busier), but from a customer perspective who is paying just as much as I would any other day - it's insulting. I've stopped bringing my business here as have several friends who used to come with me after they have had similarly poor experiences. read more

This food here was delicious. The server Eric was really hospitable and oh so cute. The food came out really fast and plentiful. At ate at the all you can eat bar and the food just kept on coming it came out quick it came out. It came out fresh and most importantly it came out delicious. The Chef that was making the Rose was really nice and really friendly and had a pretty cool personality. I believe I have the Lancaster roll which was delicious. I had the lobster roll which was scrumptious. Those to stand out they were my favorite I also had shrimp tempura so hot so fresh so yummy. The atmosphere was really cozy not overly crowded had a space on my right and my friend had a space on her left so it was the perfect amount of room to eat and be comfortable at the bar. It was not too noisy. It was good for families. Or it was nice to be on a date I saw someone there celebrating a birthday and it was a pretty cool place I would definitely take someone there for their birthday. This is my least favorite sushi bar. Im pretty sure I'll never come here again. There is no excuse for poor service unless there is only one waitress trying to help the entire restaurant. However, this is not the case. There were 3 waitresses. We waited 10 minutes after being seated for the waitress to come take our order for drinks. Two waters and a Diet Coke. These arrived in a fairly timely manner. Then she returned a few minutes later to take the food order for table next to us. Then took our food order and moved onto the table on the other side of our table. Then she turned in the 3 orders to the kitchen for fulfillment. It's no wonder they were delivered incorrectly to the tables and in the wrong order. The last table was served first? We waited over 17 minutes for the first pieces of our order to be delivered. We ordered an appetizer. 3 sushi rolls, a chicken teriyaki plate and number 5 sushi plate. Two rolls were delivered. Later came the appetizer with the dinner plates and the final roll. We had to ask for refills. Our table was barely acknowledged by the waitress until we asked for the check. This was deplorable! I recommend going to Big Tuna or Red Salmon in Lancaster if you want sushi with good service. read more

So my family of 5 went in tonight and sat at the bar unserved for an HOUR!! The owner came in to assess their short staff and initially offered us a 10% discount for our inconvenience. One person from our party got NOTHING they ordered. We decided to pay for what we've ate and not the all you can eat like we intended. When we went to pay the owner tried to get out of the 10% as promised and kept stating more chefs were on the way. We paid for what we got and half our party stayed behind and finished their roll as the owner stood behind them and watched. We felt like he was trying to intimidate us. I ordered cream cheese gyzoa, was charged $9 when it's listen $7 online which is still too expensive for 5 pieces. I've ate at the restaurant twice. literally the slowest service both times. Kaze sushi has heavy rolls that makes it hard to pick up with chop sticks, worth the extra $4. Harbour is great too, but the biggest rolls with a decent price goes to Kaze and Kbbq in palmdale. But wow they told me and the people I went with we couldn't order the amount of mussels I wanted I can only get four each because they were short in the kitchen.... My wife and I have been dining her for 4 years. We know all the chefs and waitresses. It used to be an awesome place to come and relax. That changed when the owner, in her Almighty wisdom, started doing ONLINE orders. The chefs are slammed more often and it takes forever to get food at the bar because of the ONLINE orders.
