Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Miso Taco. The food was good, the service was decent, and the restaurant had a modern look and feel to it, with big glass windows. I'd give it a 5 star rating, however, I felt like the quantity of food was on the smaller side, relative to the price I'd pay for something similar. But I don't think that should discourage you from trying Miso Taco

Miso Taco newly opened downtown location serving fusion or Japanese and Mexican dishes. Burritos, tacos and bowls with Japanese twist. They have several tables and bar seating. Tried to Ultimate Chicken Wrap (chicken karaage, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, chipotle mayo, onions and cheese and also choose salsa (green avocado). The food too a bit of time to come out, but the staff was attentive and refilled my water often. The wrap was a decent size. Thought the rice was a bit too dense, but overall tasty.

Have been paying by Miso Taco a few times and was very curious to try them out! The space is welcoming and worth a good amount of tables for small to medium size groups. The menu items are not your traditional Mexican dishes but they have an Asian Japan flare to it! They also have Happy Hour with a number of drinks and food items. My take ordered the Nachos from the Happy Hour menu, the miso corny, tuna tataco, attako on taco. And drinks I had the passion colada. Miso corny was one of my favourite where the corn is cut into little pieces like riblets and drizzled with miso dressing. The tuna tataco was a refreshing take on taco. The nacho I would skip next time. There was not much special about it and lacked flavour. Overall a fun take on the food and I would come again to try out their other menu items!

A nice, casual place for unique tacos. They have a different deal every day, and Tuesday was buy two taco dishes, get one free. We chose tuna, birria, and chicken. Everything was good, but the saltiness adds up pretty quickly. Servers were very friendly and attentive.

Sat us down, took our orders and brought us our food then quickly brought the bill so they could change tables over. The Margarita here was excellent. Definitely felt like a strong boozey drink. Well done! Tried their Chilaquiles - not sure what I was expecting but this was more nachos than anything else. Definitely not the best in the city either. Maiz De Cole - strangely the best option that I selected. The chilli, lamb, cilantro just went so well. Great light option if you need one. Definitely not better than a good Mexican street corn though. Birria Taco - wanted to like this but didn't leave much to be desired. Large portions of protein Ordered the extra Birria as my date also wanted this. Looking back, should have stuck with the single order. It was way too much birria protein which after a few bites became overly dry and lacked flavour. Carnitas Tacos - come in a order of 2. Better option for smaller appetites. Overall, felt a bit steep in price. Their website online doesn't even post prices yet.

Warm, buzzy, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The enchiladas are my go-to, saucy and cheesy and full of flavour, I order them almost every time and they never miss. But truly everything here is great. The tacos are excellent across the board, the guacamole is fresh, the nachos come loaded, and you should absolutely save room for the churros because they're some of the best I've had. Portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. The margaritas don't disappoint either. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but the staff keep things moving and are lovely the whole way through. A proper hidden gem. I go whenever I'm downtown.

They have a pretty good indoor space that can fit a good amount of people. Their food and overall vibe was very authentic Mexican food. They gave us a bowl of chips when we sat which was nice. For starters we ordered their chips and guac which was good! The guac came with feta cheese and guac tasted fresh. For mains I got their huarache de la casa, it was layered with tortillas (kind of like a cake of tortillas), carne asada, beans, lettuce, cream and cheese. It was cheesy and flavourful and super filling! I loved it! My friend got their gringa tacos which were on soft shells and pretty good as well. I would recommend this spot!

Our server was attentive and around when we needed something but never interrupting, and his recommendations ended up being some of our favourite dishes. The anchovy olives were a standout, super crispy, packed with flavour, and not overly fishy at all (great if you're a bit hesitant about anchovies). The mushroom toast was rich, savoury, and full of umami. Just a heads up not to let it sit too long since it softens the bread. The tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced. Not my personal favourite served on toast, but still really enjoyable overall. The paella was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp, tclams, and crispy pork belly chicharrón that added the best salty, fatty crunch. The roasted cabbage completely surprised me and was easily one of the best veggie dishes I've had in a while. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. We wrapped things up with churros and shared a pitcher of sangria. For three people, it came out to about $68 each before tip, which felt very fair for how much we ordered. Would definitely recommend.

As well, the manchego was so tiny it was like a shaving . The bone marrow amounted to about three teaspoons of marrow. We were so sad and dissatisfied. The patatas bravas was okay. Unfortunately we do not have a reason to return.

We grabbed a table on the peaceful patio, which made for the perfect relaxing lunch. We started with the guacamole and chips, then shared the pollo frito burrito, rajas con crema taco, tinga de pollo taco, and the Pescado Estilo Baja taco. To drink, my boyfriend had the mango margarita while I enjoyed the refreshing hibiscus drink. Overall, the food was solid and everything was fresh and flavorful. The only thing we both wished for was a bit more heat in the salsa--it wasn't quite spicy enough for our tastes. The space itself is adorable and really makes you feel like you've been transported to an authentic Mexican cantina. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
