Oh my God, I can only tell you that these guys are life savers!! I was having a very hard time finding a last-minute moving company. When I made the call and Jack picked up the phone I was desperate and exhausted and at my wits end. They had an opening the day I needed them, and Jack was so kind and so reassuring that everything will get done and it was almost unbelievable but when the two trucks showed up with Miss Cheryl's logo on them, exactly where I wanted them to, and when they said they'd be there I nearly burst into tears. And that's not where all the awesomeness stopped. Four incredible guys jumped out, introduced themselves, proceeded to be friendly all day and work so hard and professionally all through a heatwave. They only stopped a moment when I got pizza and cookies I wish I could've bought them a full big dinner each. They were a bright shining experience in a move that up until then had been a nightmare. I would recommend this company to anyone, anytime. What stands out about them besides their professionalism and proficiency was that all of them were kind, funny, knowledgeable and really good people and they all worked extremely well with each other. The movers broke the stairs at the new place and said they will have their guy come back and fix it. I waited for more than a month understanding they're busy during the summer. Once again they said they will get back to me after speaking to them about the damage. It have been half a year and no one have gotten back to me. Miss Cheryl's Moving did a wonderful job with helping me move all my furniture and stuff from one apartment to the next. Very professional and quick and the BEST rate. I am sure I would have paid more using another moving company. Jack was extremely flexible and experienced. He was able to drop off packing materials so that I could get a head start on boxing up my items. They were very careful with my furniture, making sure not to bang the corners into the walls or damage them in any other way. They were able to disassemble and reassemble everything correctly and had everything they would need to make your move go smoothly without much effort from you (besides the packing and unpacking that goes on before and after). Highly recommend this company. I called several moving companies for quotes and got the best customer service and rate from Miss Cheryl's. As a side note: this is an awesome example of why local small business is often much better at delivering a positive customer experience. You so don't want to hire these people. The owner shows up for the estimate. Says they know how to handle antiques, everything! We're great! We're reasonable! Gives you a reasonable estimate. Moving day: They are 2 hours late because they got confused and went home instead *eyeroll*. They will groan loudly, making you feel that your requests are not welcome. Hostility. They grabbed my important artwork (no plastic covering as promised) in handfuls. The truck already had items in it (from previous jobs?) and they "ran out of room" in the truck so we had to fill my car. New home: They brought items in that did not belong to me. Do they "yard sale" out of the truck? Is that why the truck ran out of room? They left their lift on the old property, awkward. Worst of all, I'm missing items. Hardware and kitchen items including antique 19thC hand-forged copper pots. Owner claims he reimbursed me. What he did was overcharge me for the 2 hours his guys roamed the city in their truck, looking for Boston *eyeroll*. I plan to move this to small claims court. I hear he has one wonderful employee but I wouldn't know this from my experience. You've been warned. read more

I hired this company to move in May 2023. Jack was awesome because he took many calls from me when I was in the middle of trying to figure out how the timing of 3 people moving would fall into place. He was patient, reassuring and flexible. The first move date was handled by Wolf, Michael and Jason. They arrived on time and I was amazed at their packing ability and care of my furniture. They had to move the truck 3 times to allow drivers to get out of a dead-end street without complaints. They got locked out at one point and didn't complain, they continued to make it happen. All three hustled and were super nice. The second move date was handled by Ronnie and James. They took instruction well, hustled and took items that I either was going to throw out or give away. Again, super nice and very efficient. I did not ask for an estimate, I only got an hourly rate. The only broken item was some minor scratches on one chair. If you care about chairs, I'd ask them to wrap them and not just stack them. There was a stand-up lamp with two lights and covers. One of the covers got broken, but I had not used it in 5 years and really didn't like it. The second movers took it away for me. I highly recommend this company and all 5 movers that Jack scheduled for me. read more

We drove our own truck from our prior home and hired Miss Cheryl's Movers to help us unload it. The movers who assisted us were fantastic--very professional and efficient. But we had some issues with booking and confirming that led to us having to pay 40%+ more than the quote we agreed to over the phone. I called to book two movers for the minimum time (two hours), at a rate of $100/hour. We had relatively few things, so I knew that two people could accomplish the task within the minimum time frame. I asked if I needed to provide a deposit for the move and if I had a confirmation number, and I was told no on both accounts. Jack just told me to call the morning we were arriving to give them a specific time to come by. The morning we were set to arrive for the unload, I called Jack and discovered that he had no memory or record of our move. To his credit, he was still able to get movers over to us a few hours after we arrived. But the issue was that we were forced into hiring three movers (because there were three people out with the truck that day) at a rate of $140/hr. This was extra labor and expense we didn't need. Due to the extra hourly cost and tips for each mover, we ended up spending $100 more on this job than what we had planned for. If we had known that this was the cost upfront, we would have booked with another company who quoted us a lower price. We appreciated the skill of the movers from Miss Cheryl's, but an issue with management's booking left us feeling like a bit of a bait and switch happened. read more

These guys!! We were moving to California from Boston. We had a lot of fragile boxes, an antique china cupboard glassed on three sides, an antique metal wall hanging and among other things, a beast of a bed. They carefully wrapped everything that could get damaged and while it's going to take me a few weeks of recycling all that wrapping, it was totally worth it. Jack and his crew packed our U-Pak containers like a chinese puzzle. There was no more room for even a cup inside either one. And when the containers were unpacked in L.A. there wasn't a single damaged item. Nothing broke or bent. The bill for the loading of two containers was shockingly reasonable. Thank you Jack and your crew. I'd give you ten stars if I could. read more

The two guys were really good and the move went fast and smooth. However the guys were an hour late even though I called to ask about timin? and their driving was longer than expected (2 hours rather than 1.25 hours). They charge by the hour even during driving from old place to new place, so the actual price ended up being 50% more what I was quoted. They also charge for fuel and bubble wrapping which I was not aware of. So overall, good service but more expensive than was told. read more

Miss Cheryl's Moving Last Monday evening, I was put into a position of having to move some furniture and fragile household items by Thursday of that week. Not knowing exactly who to call at such short notice, I remembered seeing an ad for "Miss Cheryl's Moving" on Facebook. I looked them up on line and called. The man who answered, Jack, was friendly and pleasant, and when I told him of my urgency to have my items moved, he replied something like, "I can be there tomorrow, tell me what time"!! Wow! We arranged to meet at 10 am Tuesday, so that he could load my things into his truck and bring them to an alternate location. He and his assistant, Steven, arrived promptly at 10 am, through rush hour traffic. They hauled out heavy pieces of furniture and then took the time to carefully wrap multiple fragile items (an entire 12-piece setting of Lenox China, several pieces of Belleek, and various other precious family pieces). When, at the last minute, I found a table and chairs that had to be removed from a very crowded space, far away from my other things, Jack cheerfully said, "no problem". My items were delivered to my house as planned. Every fragile piece was in perfect condition. Lastly, they were very reasonably priced for the service they delivered. Overall, the experience was 10 out of 10. I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Miss Cheryl's Moving, Jack, and Steven. They were professional, caring, and fun. They turned a very difficult situation into a very good one. read more

Amazing team of two gentlemen arrived as promised. Jack and Fred moved an antique couch that easily exceeded 200 pounds in weight, with a reinforced bottom adding to its girth. They moved this 'beast' up an antique staircase carefully to the second floor of the home. This was a small job in that it only involved a couch and a large chair but it was tremendously challenging given the couch's dimension and weight. These guys were amazing! Jack (Mr. Cheryl) and Stephen moved us on Monday. It was a huge success. They were very quick and efficient but also careful -- nothing was damaged in the least. We had way more stuff than we realized, so they had to do two separate runs -- one from our storage unit to the new house and the other from our apartment to the new house, but they weren't thrown at all. We needed some help unloading our moving truck at our new apartment complex. We had great service from the two gentlemen that helped us. Very nice and extremely helpful. Unfortunately, I was unaware that we were going to be charged for their commute to and from our new apartment. So instead of us paying for 2.25 hours we paid for 4.25 hours, nearly doubling our bill. It would've been fine if I had agreed to it beforehand but it was never discussed. Additionally, we had to pay a "rental" fee for some of the moving equipment. (Large boxes on the flat dollys, $6 each). Overall, good service... I just wish they would've been more clear with all the fees I was charged up front. read more
