We had a need to move furniture from my deceased mother-in-laws home in Little Silver New Jersey to our home in Central MA. We had no recent experience with moving companies and our last experience was not good. We spoke to a neighbor in Little Silver who owns several businesses and she highly recommended Boston Harbor Movers. There was no end to her accolades for BHM. So we immediately reached out to Saul, owner of Boston Harbor Movers, and didn't waste time doing price shopping since quality service was our top priority. Saul answered my wife's many questions and agreed to a schedule that met her needs. Due to heavy traffic, Saul and his assistant arrived a bit later than their target time. Since he and my wife kept in touch by phone, the delay was not a surprise. Saul and his assistant worked closely as an experienced team, carefully wrapping the furniture in heavy duty blankets and strapped it down to the truck. They then turned around and drove back to Central MA that night with the furniture. Saul called to notify me when he was within an hour of our home in Massachusetts. They arrived very close to his estimated time. At both ends of the trip Saul and his assistant could not have been more patient, friendly, polite, and helpful. Before leaving our home, they thoroughly cleaned up the disposable packing materials and took them in truck. And most importantly, not a single item was damaged. I just moved with Boston Harbor Moving for the second time. I can't recommend them highly enough. On both moves, they did an absolutely phenomenal job. They arrived on time, carried everything out swiftly and gently, and were just absolutely wonderful. I was so impressed with how quickly they got everything out and into my next place. For the second time, there was not a single broken wine glass or any other fragile item (that I probably improperly packed). Incredible. I had made a UHaul reservation a couple months before my move. They called me the day before to inform me that they had to change the time and pick up location of my truck, and that I would need to call the movers (referred to me on their site) to reschedule them. This is the day before my move - Sunday before Sept 1st, the busiest moving day of the year. I immediately called Saul at Boston Harbor Moving to see if they had anything available the next day. Most moving companies would have picked up the phone and laughed. Saul said he had a small window at the exact time slot I needed and said his guys should be able to pull it off. His quote was competitive, and his follow up was great. He was very reassuring. The guys arrived not long after our scheduled time, worked quickly and methodically, and asked where everything should go. They helped rearrange my furniture a few different ways due to the challenge of having big furniture in a small bedroom. They were a huge help because it would've taken me twice as long to do on my own. Can't recommend these guys enough! If you have a move coming up, better call Saul! read more

There are nothing but good things to say about this company! We had a BIG move. We were moving two apartments into one, and the original apartments were an hour apart! Justinas and his crew arrived on time, and moved efficiently. They were able to pack both of our apartments into their truck, drive it to the new apartment and unpack all within 7.5 hours. None of our property was damaged, and they even set up our couch and beds for us! They were very reasonably priced! We would absolutely use them again in a heart beat! I cannot speak highly enough of Saul and his team. We moved from a first floor place to a place that was on the 4th and 5th floor (walkup). This was a TOUGH job. Saul and his team were polite and had a great attitude, even though carrying all that furniture up 60+ stairs was a huge job. Not a single thing was broken, and I didn't pack everything all that well. They did not damage anything, and I honestly cannot imagine the job being done any better. Not only did they do a great job, they were very reasonable about cost, and completely up front. Best moving company I have worked with. No question. Had to move from a 1 BDR apartment in Needham to a 2 BDR in Brookline with another stop on the way to collect more stuff. Every interaction from the start (Saul) and thru the move itself (Justin & Ned) was transparent, responsive, fair, proactive and mostly professional. All 3 were kind, efficient and super respectful. Fun guys (ask them about their families...). I even asked if they could assemble a brand new bed (which was in a package) and they did so. Justin and Ned even had great recommendations on how to lay out the new furniture in the new place. Wow. I interact with many service companies. Moving from her condo in MA to my home outside of DC was one of the hardest things my 85 year old mother has ever done. It involved cleaning out 50+ years of clutter, disposing of furniture that included a bedroom set she'd had since she was 10 and negotiating keeping/tossing a lifetime of her and my father's belongings. If it were not for Saul, Edward and Justin, my mother could never have accomplished this task. They meticulously packed and moved her, respecting what was to be kept and what was to be thrown out, while diplomatically handling a tense atmosphere between her and me that on several occassions resulted in all out screaming. Saul delivered my mother's belongings to my home less than 2 days later, and even opened numerous boxes for her once they were unloaded in order to ensure her that the things she needed the most were located and unpacked. Saul and his crew are beyond wonderful. They communicated reliably to schedule our in-town move and showed up the morning of on time and with all the necessary tools. Boston Harbor Moving is amazing! They made our move out of a fourth floor walkup in Boston seamless. Throughout the whole process Saul was so helpful and responsive. He came to look at our apartment in advance to give us a time estimate for how long the move would take and determine the size truck we would need. The day of the move, he and his team were on time and brought extra packing materials in case we needed any. Everything was packed safely and securely in the truck.
