I went in one day to get my pants taken in, and she was great about following up and asking where I exactly I wanted the pants taken in. I wanted it almost form fitting but not that tight, and during my first session I told her that I actually wanted it tighter than how she had it. She suggested that I go through with her alterations and that I try it again when she alters it just in case I change my mind. When I came back a week later, I tried it on and it was looser than I wanted it still, and she said she would alter it free of charge. Her concern was that she previously had a customer who had wanted a dress too tight and then wanted her to pay for the new dress given that they could not undo the work. I told her that I knew I wanted it to be tighter. Another week passed and when I came by, she actually forgot about my pants alteration because someone needed their wedding dress altered within a very tight schedule. I wasn't in a rush, but she felt super guilty about what happened. I told her it's fine, but I wanted to make sure the next time I came I would have it. During the week and a half later, she had it done! The process took a bit, and it cost me $18 (if you pay by cash, she does not charge tax). read more

I debated whether to post this review, but I decided I needed to share my experience so that either 1. Ms Coco changes, because it seems that it's common for her to forget appointments and takes long/numerous visits to not even receive what was asked for, or 2. Deter BRIDES from coming here. This is a short version of MY experience bringing in a WEDDING GOWN. This was the most stressful part of my wedding, and I didn't receive it "done" until the day of my wedding. I came here 8 weeks before my wedding, my dress needed the bust to be changed, taken in at the waist and hips, shortened, and remove the lower white fabric so that the bottom would be sheer. I was told it'd take four fittings to get what I wanted and to return in three weeks. So three weeks later, I come in to my appointment which was her day off and she opened the door, didn't say a word, and gave me this look almost as if to say "what do you want". So I let her know I was there for my first fitting. She goes to the back while I wait on the couch and she tells me it's not ready and come back the next day. The next day, the only thing that is done to my dress is she removed a layer of fabric that I did NOT ask for. That's all that was done in the three weeks I waited, and only to be told it'll take three more weeks for the bra cups to come in?? I don't know why I didn't take my dress back at this point. There were numerous visits where I didn't even try my dress on, so I don't understand why she had me come in. Thankfully I only lived ten minutes away, but this would be a big issue if I lived any further. No big changes were done to my dress until about six weeks in (two weeks before my wedding)!! The weekend before the wedding I almost cried when I tried my dress on. It was so ugly. I came in almost daily the week of my wedding and little by little it started looking better, however she did not listen to what I wanted and gave me a sweetheart style when I asked for something more straight. I took the dress as is, given that I was about to get married in a few hours. I noticed that the sweetheart cut was not centered and neither was the back zipper! It's so embarrassing looking back at pictures of my wedding day and seeing this. I definitely don't think I got my moneys worth. To top it off, I gave her one of MY own bras to add to the dress when the one she ordered was too big! I would not recommend getting a wedding gown altered here, and definitely not if you live further away. *responding to the comment, the lining change request was three weeks before the wedding because the bra cups weren't matching to the dress (second picture, third fitting I think). It took five weeks to change the bra cups, and three weeks to redo the whole dress. I feel like the owner should admit that she forgot about my dress and/or prioritized other clients. I borrowed a dress for a wedding that was too long for me. I ended up stepping on and damaging some fabric at the bottom that was like nylon stocking material. It was so delicate, I couldn't imagine that it could be repaired. But Miss Coco told me that she had a machine specifically for that type of fabric. The dress came out beautifully. You cannot tell that it was ever damaged. Additionally, Miss Coco was so kind to tell me that the damage was not my fault. (Even tho it probably was :) ). Miss Coco's place is stylish without being over the top. There are roomy curtained dressing areas with oversized mirrors. I went to miss coco because of her great reviews. I'm not sure if maybe she just had a lot of alterations to get done at the time or if something else was going on but I came here to get my bridesmaids dress alternated and it ended up taking her a month to get it done and multiple visits to her. I had to go back four times which is a little excessive for a bridesmaid dress and there wasn't even a lot of alteration to do. When I came on the day she'd tell me to come, she seemed like she had no idea I was stopping by. And in the end, she didn't even finish alternating the dress. I had to finish it myself. I politely asked her for the extra fabric from the dress and she gave me a piece of velvet. My dress was not velvet. Lol. I just took it and finished the job myself. My rating would really be 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up. I had my wedding dress taken in and shortened, and I also asked for the bustle to be done. Miss Coco was friendly and accommodating at most of my sessions with her, but at my 2nd fitting she was visibly annoyed and passive aggressive. My friend and bridesmaid noticed that one of the buttons for the bustle looked unevenly placed and asked miss coco about that, and it was obvious by her response that she was annoyed. She also forgot about our appointment for the 2nd fitting. Luckily I only live 5 min away from her place, but it was inconvenient that she forgot and closed up shop when I arrived. Ultimately my dress turned out fine and fit me well, but her attitude was a bit off putting at one of the sessions. I give it a 4.5. The only reason I am docking half a star is because she had schedule me for my second visit but when I arrived she had forgotten about my appointment. I had to drive 30 minutes for this and took 3 different freeways. My time is as important as hers. Overall, she was very nice and did a good job with my dress. I got the hem done and added pockets. I did what you shouldn't do, wait till the last minute to alter a bridesmaid dress. I took it to Miss Coco because she had wonderful reviews and she did not disappoint. When I dropped my dress off with her (7 days before the wedding), the dress' zipper was completely off center, the bust was way too big and seams were crooked and misplaced.
