I cannot say enough good things about Lana. She took on my dress with very short notice and actually finished it early. She even packed up my dress for me as I was taking it across the country to get married. She talked me through everything, made sure every adjustment was perfect, and did not charge me an arm and a leg. I've recommended her to several friends already and I hope she continues to bless other brides with her talent. Thank you so much!

I'm so happy I decided to go with Lana instead of going with the many other people I got quotes from. I had a tight budget and Lana was so understanding working with me. Had 4 fittings with her in total and she would not let me leave until I felt 100% confident and happy in my dress. She provided much needed expertise and I'm so glad I listened even though I was completely hesitant at first. The dress literally fit me like a glove and I received so many compliments on my wedding day. Thank you Lana for making sure I looked amazing!

If you are looking for wedding dress alterations, Lana and her team are your best option. One of the first benefits we noticed was her hours. It allowed my daughter to schedule appointments without taking time off of work. Huge stress relief. Next is her experience. She understood garment construction and how best to tackle each element to be altered. We were fortunate that we didn't need to have the corset altered, but I trusted her completely if it had come to that. We had the bustle added and all 6 layers of the skirt hemmed. She knew where to put the hem so the unique details of each layer were preserved as designed. As far as pricing goes, it was not inexpensive, but I understood the complexity of our ask. She was not pushy and encouraged us to shop around. She made me feel comfortable with her experience and care for both my daughter and the most important dress of her life. It was worth it and we made the decision quickly.

Lana & her team were wonderful! They did an amazing job with my dress. It turned out perfect. I got my beautiful dress back to me right on time. I would highly recommend Lana and her team to everyone looking to taylor their wedding dress.

Lana did an amazing job making my wedding dress fit so perfectly! I thought I only needed to alter the length and add a bustle, but Lana suggested additional alterations I hadn't even considered - adding bra pads (as a flat-chested gal, she worked her magic and made me feel more confident!), shortening the straps so it the back fell flush against my body, and pressing the dress to name a few. I felt beautiful in my dress and it was largely because of her. Although my dress looks simple - there were multiple layers of tulle (I think) - she cut them with ease and evenly! She also gave me complimentary ribbon for my wedding shoes to match my dress. Shes truly an expert and I highly recommend getting your dress altered by her!

Lana added all the lace while keeping the integrity of my mom's original dress.

This review is long overdue. Lana is a true miracle worker. I came to her in April for my wedding on July 7th. I was determined to wear my mom's dress. And let me tell you...it needed some work. Miss Lana came up with a plan to modernize the dress while upholding its originality. I travel back and forth from Orange County to Reno, NV, and she was so patient with everything. She stayed late to finish my dress and even added finishing touches that she thought would make my dress extra special. I could not have been happier and I know my mom would have loved everything Miss Lana did with the dress. I am forever grateful for what she did!

Lana did such an amazing job working magic on my dress to make it a perfect fit for my wedding day! There were areas of my dress when I bought it that were much too big for me, and there were huge variations in size and fit between the bust and waist. Lana was somehow able to make everything fit seamlessly together where it hugged my body in just the right way and minimized changes to the integrity of the dress. The dress was also much too long, and she was somehow able to hem it just right while maintaining the beautiful lace pattern of the train. I would highly recommend this bridal shop for anyone looking for personalized alterations with a kind owner who truly cares about her craft and her customers!

Lana was truly another gift the Lord gave us during the wedding planning process. For me personally, wedding planning wasn't always fun or easy, but Lana was a breath of fresh air from the very beginning. Every time I saw her, I felt like she genuinely wanted to take care of me and make sure I felt special. Not only is Lana incredibly kind and caring, but her work is absolutely impeccable and worth every penny. She is extremely meticulous and detailed at every fitting. If there was ever something she didn't like or thought could be improved, she always found a way to fix it and make it even better. My dress had lace, embroidery, sequins, and mesh, and she handled every detail flawlessly. She truly made my dress look extraordinary on me. I also got an overskirt for my wedding Mass that she was able to grab some fabric from my wedding gown to make it match more. I would 1000% recommend Lana to any bride. Even if you're coming from far away, she is absolutely worth the travel.

I bought my dress on an extreme risk: picked out from an antique shop and originally made for a showroom mannequin (for a model-thin and -tall woman). I'm a short and, at the time, soft curvy woman. This was purchased on a dream! And it was pulled off. Lana was incredibly excited to work with this vintage dress (she thinks it's from the 1930s) and I found out later it likely was sold by Kleinfeld's in NYC. I looked like a princess or a 1930s Chinese movie star. Either way, I felt incredibly beautiful and satisfied with her service. Thanks, Lana! She also helped alter my Chinese cheongsam, traditional dress to be more fitted to my body. Both turned out wonderful and were hits of the party!

    Bad stitching inside my dress

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at this bridal boutique. Here's what happened: 1. Dress Fitting Issues: At the first fitting, I brought the dress at least twice the size of my actual body measurements. After two fittings, they drastically altered the dress--making it significantly smaller without confirming with me. When I came for the third fitting, the back of the dress wouldn't even close--it was 3 to 4 inches too tight. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, Lana implied that it was either because I was on my period or had gained weight. She told me that if the dress didn't fit again on my next visit, I would need to pay an additional $300 to add a corset in the back. They completely denied any fault on their part. On my following visit, the dress still didn't fit properly (and no, I hadn't gained any weight). Suddenly, they claimed they had "good news" and had found extra lining inside the dress, so I wouldn't need to pay the $300 after all. But throughout the entire process, they continued to insist that the sizing issue wasn't their responsibility. It was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. 2. Poor Workmanship: The stitching inside the dress was sloppy and uneven (I have photos to prove it). 3. Unhygienic Fitting Rooms: Every time I visited, the fitting rooms were messy and unclean. Not something you'd expect--or accept--when trying on your wedding dress. 4. Insensitive and Embarrassing Comments: On multiple occasions, they made me feel uncomfortable by commenting on the size of my chest in a way that felt inappropriate and shaming. 5. I found out there were multiple stains on my dress. Looks like they stepped on my dress while they were altering it (see the pictures). 6. Lana made me wait for more than 30 minutes when I went in for 2nd fitting. She didn't even say sorry for wasting my time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was stressful and upsetting--especially considering that this was supposed to be a joyful and special time. I would not recommend this place to any bride looking for professional, respectful service.

These ladies were fabulous! They totally worked with me when my size kept changing. They even sewed my dress while it was on me! So French Couture:)

Lana did a fantastic job on my wedding dress alterations. She is very professional, caring, and detail oriented! I was in desperate need to have my alterations done in a rush and I couldn't have been happier with the results. She was very accommodating to my schedule since I am from the Bay Area and only had a few weekends where I would be in SoCal for wedding preparations. I truly appreciate how flexible she was despite her busy schedule. From the consultation, to the final fitting, she was wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend her to any of my friends and family who need any bridal alterations done!

Lana did magic on my dress and transformed it! I was so upset when I first received my dress from the store that it looked completely different than when I tried it off the rack. I'm a small petite girl and the dress was just not fitting properly, esp the chest area. Lana worked with me 5-6 different times to make sure the chest area fit my size as I didn't want to look too "booby" for my figure. She recommended I get bra fitted at a lingerie store and that changed my life! After multiple visits, we decided the strapless dress would make the chest area look better if I added straps, so we did. Come wedding day, everything fit perfectly. The reason for -1 star is because my bridesmaids did the bustle multiple times (I had 7 hooks for the bustle btw) and it kept falling down :( I ended up having to hold my long train for photos and the reception and eventually just changed out of the dress because I didn't want to hold my dress anymore. All in all, Lana was amazing and I would definitely recommend her!

I had read the reviews before going to her, so I was aware of Coco delivering a day late on alterations. I went in on June 18th to get my dress altered, and Coco told me to come in on July 2nd to pick up my dress. On July 2nd, I actually called her beforehand to confirm that my dress would be ready. She asked me for my dress color and then said to come by any time before 5pm. My dress was not ready. I drove over, and Coco told me that she was still working on my dress. She also mentioned that the person who usually steams all the finished pieces had already left for the day, so she needed an additional day. I was fine with her needing extra time, but I wish she had said that over the phone before I made the drive. I thought that was inconsiderate, especially since I had already been proactive about calling beforehand to confirm that the dress could be picked up. Nonetheless, the alterations turned out nicely. The hem of the dress worked beautifully with the heels I chose, and the tightened shoulder seams made the dress fit much nicer. I felt so confident wearing this dress at my friend's wedding. The hem and shoulder seam adjustments totaled $80. I don't have a frame of reference for the average cost of alterations for formal attire, so I can't tell if it was reasonable. I would definitely recommend getting your clothes in earlier rather than later to accommodate for any potential delays.

When I came in to pick it up, the sleeves were not cut, they're two different sizes, the neckline wasn't cut to size and I looked like the background dancers in the goofy movie with the broad shoulders. I truly cannot say enough about my experience with Tutu and Ninos Tailoring. I honestly almost…read morecried at my final fitting because I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and relief. Three weeks before my wedding, the tailor I had trusted completely backed out after keeping my dress for weeks. She told me my gown was too complicated, would take over 8 weeks to alter, and would cost more than $1,000 because of the intricate beading and construction. She said it would practically have to be reconstructed. I panicked. I spent an entire day driving around Orange County visiting several highly-rated alteration shops, and every single one told me some version of the same thing: it was too difficult, the beading would have to be compromised, the train might need to change, or it would cost an outrageous amount. By the time I walked into Ninos, I was emotionally exhausted and expecting another "no." The shop itself is very unassuming, tucked away in an older office building. I'll admit I was skeptical. After visiting large, well-known shops with multiple seamstresses, I didn't think this little tailor shop would be the one to save my wedding dress. I have never been happier to be wrong. From the moment I met Tutu and her husband, they made me feel welcome. They are one of the sweetest couples I've ever met. Tutu immediately noticed how stressed I was. She closed the blinds for privacy, turned the AC up because I was sweating from anxiety, and simply let me breathe. Then she confidently looked at my dress and said she could do it. Not only could she do it--she could do ALL of it. She took my waist in 4 inches, altered my bust so it fit perfectly, hemmed SEVEN layers of dress, added a bustle, resized my detachable sleeves, added buttons to hold them in place, and worked around intricate beading that every other shop acted like was impossible. Her price? $600. After being quoted over $1,000 and told it couldn't realistically be done, I honestly wanted to hug her. I'll admit, I was still nervous. Every time I repeated what the other shops had warned me about, Tutu would simply smile, wave her hand, and say, "It's okay. I got it." She never dismissed my fears--only the negativity. Her confidence was incredibly comforting. Then she somehow completed everything in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. I dropped my dress off on a Friday. She wanted me back by Tuesday. I ended up going Thursday, less than a week later, and my dress already fit like an absolute glove. I only requested one tiny adjustment in the bust, and a few days later it was completely finished. When I picked it up, I cried. My bust had originally been several sizes too large, and I was convinced there was no way to make it look natural without reconstructing the dress. Tutu worked literal magic. There was no gaping, no awkward pulling, and no visible evidence of the alterations. It looked like the dress had been custom made for me. She also preserved the beautiful train that everyone else wanted to compromise. She even gave me FOUR different alteration options, carefully explained the pros and cons of each, and helped me choose what would look best. She genuinely cared about doing the job the right way--not the easiest way. On my wedding day I received so many compliments on how perfectly my dress fit. Before I left, she also took the time to show me exactly how to fasten the bustle, put on my sleeves correctly, and care for the dress so nothing would get damaged. That level of care meant so much. I almost didn't come here because I saw one negative bridal review. I obviously can't speak to someone else's experience, but mine could not have been more different. I brought in a $4,000 wedding gown that multiple professionals considered nearly impossible, and Tutu handled it with incredible skill, kindness, patience, and professionalism. Every time I visited, the shop was busy. I saw sheriff uniforms, men's clothing, everyday alterations, and multiple wedding dresses waiting to be worked on. It's obvious people trust her. I'm writing this review because, when I was in complete wedding panic, I desperately wished another bride had shared a story like mine. If you're reading this while stressed, overwhelmed, or wondering if your dress can be saved, please go see Tutu. When I dropped my dress off, I told my family, "This is either going to be the biggest diamond in the rough or I just paid to have my wedding dress destroyed." I'm so thankful to say it was absolutely the diamond in the rough. Thank you, Tutu. You didn't just alter my dress--you genuinely made my wedding day possible. Your kindness calmed me during one of the most stressful moments of wedding planning, and your talent exceeded every expectation I had. I will recommend Ninos to every bride, friend, and family member I know.
