Penuche's has three locations in New Hampshire - I've only ever been to the Keene one. They have cheap beer, and The Nooch is well known and loved by all who like to drink. It's dark and dirty in here, clouds of cigarette smoke (before the fascists banned smoking in NH) and free, all you can eat, super salty popcorn. By cheap beer I mean they have a Kick the Keg special nearly every weekend, in which draughts are fifty or seventy five cents. Long Trail for a buck on Thursdays - cheap shots, and so on... Another thing - this is the kind of place where if you walk in before noon on a Tuesday and order a few rounds of bourbon and a bunch of beers, nobody looks at you like you're weird or something. Odds are you won't be the only one doing it. Overall, a legendary and heroic monument to drunkeness, alcoholism, and good old fashioned fun.
