2-Item Combo ($13.50) - The Lechon Kawali was sinfully delicious; it was crispy, fatty, and fried to perfection. Pork Sisig is one of my favorite Filipino dishes because of how flavorful it is, but the pepper was a bit overpowering in this one. Excited to try more dishes from here!

attended an event that had party trays from here - the sisig, kare kare, & turon were all good! a lot of places try to cut corners w sisig by using too much onion, fat, or too huge pieces, but this place had perfect ratios. the flavor was citrusy without being too sour i rly appreciated that the kare kare had tripe, which restaurants don't always have; it was tender & not chewy. the peanut sauce was well-salted & umami on its own even without bagoong (tho it was on the thinner side, but that's just a matter of personal preference). i also appreciate when the bok choy & green beans are layered on top, which allows them to retain their green freshness instead of getting too soft. & the eggplant was tender & not rubbery finally the turon was rly crispy, even hours later!

Huge tray of pancit. Love the fresh veggies in it. Just needs a squeeze of lemon juice!

I have been coming here off-and-on for over 20 years. The last few times, I missed the hot food service. Those visits, I bought a few hopia hoping to relive my childhood but they were old and dry. I actually threw them away. I loved the fried garlic peanuts but couldn't find other snacks I was looking for. My most recent visit, I got a plate of pancit. I was happy that they use fresh cut veggies in it but surprised that the price has nearly doubled. Actually, all of the prices here are much too high now. Overall, I was grateful to have a hot meal that wasn't fast food after a long roadtrip, but I most likely will make my own pancit when the craving hits. Pros: - consistent quality on hot food items - lots of parking Cons: - market side doesn't carry much anymore - all brands of hopia not good here - pricey hot food now

I love Filipino food. Mission Asian Market never disappoints. The ladies serving are always so cool. This little place is a packed with product on the shelves. The food is delicious. We always get lumpia and chicken adobo. Dessert will always be different. Either fried bananas, Biko (which is sweet rice and jack fruit) or sweet rice with coconut milk and sugar wrapped in banana leaves. There are table and chairs for you to sit down and eat. Decorated with Filipino art, pics and food. A go to after church or any day you are hungry and want some good eats.

As a Filipino American, I feel like north county doesn't have enough Filipino cuisine. I only know of 3 restaurants around. They are all good and they all have a slight different vibe and taste. They are always friendly! I judge every Filipino restaurant whether or not they have sisig because that's my favorite dish. Every spot is different on how they make it, but in general they are all very good. They also had so many Filipino desserts that it was a bit hard to choose from. I chose the cheese puto and my favorite kalamay! There's just something about ube and rice desserts! So good and I absolutely love the texture! It's like a thick chewy jelly! Reminds me of my childhood. If I could I would have bought every dessert, but the wallet and health won't allow it.

Stopped by a few weeks ago to pick up some Filipino snacks for a road trip and I left happy. Prices are still a little on the high side, but with so few Filipino spots in the area, I don't mind supporting a local business that brings a taste of home. Plus, the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The number one dish that keeps me coming back? The sisig hands down! It's always packed with flavor and cooked just right. I'd love to see them highlight it more it really deserves the spotlight. In general I always love the vibe here! Also, big props to the staff this time around customer service was noticeably better than my last visit. Friendly, helpful, and made the experience that much better. Happy to update my review and looking forward to the next visit!

The sisig here is the best I've ever had. So good to the point where I am sitting here a day later writing a review I never usually do because I can't stop thinking about this sisig. It has big chunks of crispy pork with red onions. It's vinegary, salty. Perfect with a side of white rice. Please get this. I will more than likely order a patty tray of this every time I'm in Oceanside because there's nothing like it anywhere else. I need them to open a location in the OC. The lumpia is amazing too so delicious with a plate is sisig and rice. The halo halo is pretty good too but I don't prefer the sweet potato texture at the bottom. Staff is great and lovely. They will shortly become my family with how often I'll be there. TLDR; GET THE SISIG AND LUMPIA.

Always stop by when I am in the area. Ordered a 2 item combo $13.50 and $1 more when you have specialty items. I guess sisig and bistek are specialty. The lady told me that dilis were $5.99/lb but really it was $6.49 per small paper tray. They are a little market as well to get chips, bread, snacks, seasoning, ingredients, etc...besides the pricing discrepancies, the food is always delicious! The inside also has seating to eat there but I typically take it to go.

We never really walk out that far…read morefrom the pier area (and it's not really THAT far), but decided to go out a bit just to check it out. Scanned the QR code on the big banner from the outside and checked out their menu. Saw lumpia and thought it was a Filipino spot). Saw they had a happy hour menu and decided to check it out before our movie. The vibe we really cute and played reggae music. It was a relaxing, chill atmosphere with lots of tvs. The server, Jaz was really nice, friendly and very hospitable. She spoke of their Guamanian food, heritage and community. They've been in the current spot for the last 7 or 8 months, so fairly new, but were down the street for many years before that. We ordered 2 different kinds of BBQ chicken wings. Two orders of the sweet chili glazed (Pine Doni) and one of the other which was like a honey bbq glazed style. All were supposed to have 6 wings, but the honey BBQ one had 5 (?). The sweet chili was our fave of the two. Their chicken empanadas were huge, and served 3 per dish, were delicious and crispy, with an aioli like sauce with a wonderful kick. The spam roll was a masubi-like and was good (husband said it was the best he's ever had). The side of mac salad had great flavor! Jaz brought us some red rice to try on the house and it was really good! It reminded me of Vietnamese chicken rice, with chicken broth infused into the rice, making it really tasty and savory. First time having Guamanian food and we're stoked we tried it! All in all, great food and awesome service! If you've never tried it before...put it on your list! You won't regret it!

We started off with the chicken kelaguen which had the perfect amount of flavor and tanginess with the red rice staple. I do wish I got more rice in the chicken to rice ratio, but it was good regardless. Shortly after we got our empanadas (the whole reason I wanted to go here). I had been craving them for weeks and it didn't disappoint. The filling was the delicious and the crust was perfectly crunchy. We then shared the Guam bomb which was a pretty decently sized plate. I appreciated how crunchy the fries were, especially since the amount of sauce on top could have easily made them soggy very quickly. I do wish there was a little more meat but it tasted yummy nonetheless. Our absolute favorite part of the meal was desert. The banana donuts! It came with 4 which was perfectly paired with strawberry ice cream. Overall, super duper happy with another visit to this amazing spot! Hopefully we'll catch them at PIFA San Diego this year

It's also weird that they served us rice but we had to wait 15 minutes for the sinigang to come out. The lumpia is not worth it. It's thin, burnt crispy, and barely any filling. It doesn't represent how tasty and popular lumpia is! The wait for the second entree was 30 mins!!! The lady in the front kept telling me that "it's coming out soon" but each time food comes out from the kitchen, it's not for us. By the time we got the canton pancit, it didn't even taste good! It was too salty and the chef overdid it with the celery. It literally tasted like soy sauce celery noodles. I also didn't realize it's not rice noodles... I know the description said "fat noodles" but I thought it'd still be the traditional rice noodles but thicker. I won't return. I'm going to stick to take-out only Filipino restaurants. The quality is better, food is authentic, and way more affordable than here.
