Expired white cheese
Eylul I.

Most of the products they sell are past their expiration date -- snacks, cheeses, sausages... There needs to be inspection and control. Also, their prices are higher compared to other north park produce in Poway.

This was my first time to this location as I used to live closer to the Poway store. Things are laid out a little different. They also have you pick up items from the deli that are prepackaged in Poway, such as Tabouleh and Dolma. The employees are great, friendly, and helpful. The store is packed with inventory of things that you can't find easily elsewhere, including many choices of some items. I will make this location my regular stop.

Still love this place! The hot food got a bit more expensive but that's inflation. We still get the gyro wrap, they use a huge bread so it does get a little bready towards the end. The gyro plate is great too. In addition to hot food we get their hummus, and garlic sauce so good! Their grocery is a hit or miss. Sometimes the veggies look really fresh, sometimes it looks gross. We love their cucumber. They have bok choy, cabbage, bean sprouts for our Asian needs.

Breads, cookies, produce

I was intrigued with everything that was here. You'll find many items you can't find anywhere else and brands you can't get anywhere else. I may come back for packaged goods (seasonimg, tea, cookies), but on a Friday night, the market appeared to not be well maintained. The produce looked wilted, and the displays were dirty. The refrigerated area had condensation on the outside of some of the doors, and I saw dirty vents on the refrigerated equipment. I would want to try the vegetarian food and sample their feta cheese from their deli, but I wouldn't feel comfortable eating there based on the maintenance of the market. The exterior windows need cleaning, and they still have the social distancing sign outside. It just seems hope is lost, but it can be better!

So my daughter is working in the area for a week and she keeps telling us that everyone tells her she has to come to this Market with a restaurant inside. The restaurant: the food is amazing. It took me three sittings to eat the beef shawarma wrap I purchased. They gave me three sauces but I wish I could have just received more of the ground garlic sauce. The market: they have some very unique foods which was pretty cool but the prices are really high. Some of the items looked like they had been there for a long time. I was looking at some bologna but I don't know that I would have been comfortable buying that. I did buy some ground garlic sauce for my wrap.

Falafel (half a dozen less the one I'd already taken)!

Mixed experience for both the hot food and grocery portions of the trip. Hot food : big selection of middle eastern/Persian standards. Daily special is a smoking deal. They pack in the food so all of it is a decent value. You can get small side containers of toum. You order inside the grocery and then pay at checkout and bring your receipt around to pick up your good at the counter toward the front of the store. There are a few tables to eat at inside but it was freezing cold so we took it to go. We got 2 combo plates and 6 falafel. Chicken was pretty dry, beef kubideh was good. Falafel were pretty nice, but there are a few places I like better (Panini Kabob Grill and The Kebab Shop in Oceanside). Grocery: variety of items but not super well-organized - you'll find spices in like 5 different areas for example and half unpacked boxes in stacks randomly. Produce and Meat counter both looked a little iffy to me, though I did pick up a bunch of cilantro I needed. Deli and bakery looked good though. 3 or 4 types of fresh feta. Bread made in house that's definitely worth picking up. I did get tzatziki in the deli. They also had standards like cucumber salad and baba Ghanaian. I thought it was weird they didn't have toum (had to buy a commercially packed container for $9) but they do have small sides of it at the hot food counter. Tons of pickles, tea, a whole section of British/imported sweets. Overall a mixed experience. I'd go back for the fresh bread, hot meal specials and to look for specific ingredients perhaps.

I went on a Wednesday and get the $6.99 falafel wrap for their special. So much food for the price. Food was great and it was ready quickly.

Love their special items you cannot find elsewhere. Their ground lamb is fresh and the Persian cucumbers are better than anywhere else.

Don't buy a beef shawarma, you couldn't able to eat, so don't waste your money. However, chicken shawarma was good.

I really love the pre-prepared things in the deli their produce is very good as well. I like the fact that they have a bulk section. I forgot to take pictures in the store, but I took a couple pictures and posted them of a couple things I purchased. Their prices are very reasonable. I will continue to always shop here.

Frazier Farms is almost the perfect grocery store. Grass-fed meat, wild caught fish, fresh local…read moreproduce, and tasty bread baked in-house: there is something here for everyone. Additionally, their sushi, smoothie bar and pre-made foods are top notch - they are MILES ahead of any of the "big" grocery stores. So the question is - if they are so great, why do they only have 4 stars on Yelp? One major reason is that they stretch their products. If you don't check the expiration date on every product you purchase, you will end up buying something months after it expired. I purchased a Brie-en-croute on sale for Super Bowl. I was so excited to try it. When I opened the box, the product had mold all over it. I looked at the expiration date and it was not supposed to expire for another week. Then I looked more closely. They had an expiration sticker that was on the box that had already passed, and then they put another sticker on top of that one with a different expiration date. That's not accidental - that's intentional. I definitely felt taken advantage of. Is it enough to make me stop shopping at Frazier Farms? Absolutely not. But, if this grocery outlet wants to improve, they need to look into why so many products on the shelves are expired. I understand not wanting to waste things. But you can't put new stickers on top of old stickers while selling a moldy product. I hope someone in management reads this review, and takes it seriously. I don't have time to go back to Fraziers every time I have to return an expired product. If that changes, I will change this review to 5 stars.

The workers here are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. We went to pick up some barbecue on a Tuesday. There is a different line for the Taco Tuesday deal, so fortunately we did not have to wait very long. The barbecue chicken leg quarters are huge! Look at my pic with a fork for scale. $11 for 3 leg quarters. Just an incredible deal and oh so delicious! Tri tip was $23/lb. DH said, "it had great flavor, but I actually like the chicken the best". It was tender and smoky. We picked up some tomatoes, cucumbers, and avocados to make tacos and salad at our vacation home. Overall, this is a great place to pick up some barbecue at outstanding prices. We will definitely return in the future!

What a great farmers market store! I get all my fresh meat here and it's always delicious and…read morereasonably priced! ATLANTIC SALMON FILETS: I buy a lot of the $7.99 6-ounce Atlantic Salmon filets, the fresh, not frozen ones, from this Sprouts. First, I pan-fry them in butter in a cast iron skillet so the skin gets all crispy and tasty. Then I put a homemade thyme/rosemary compound butter on top of the salmon at the last few 'finishing' minutes. I spoon the melted butter all over the top. That crispy fish skin is like eating a potato chip, lol...or crispy chicken skins...but with an entoxicating flavor you need today. Try this sometime, it's delicious and easy. I like the price, too. MISO TANGY CRUNCH SALAD WITH CHICKEN ~ $8.79: I could eat this salad every day for lunch. It serves two if you're having soup or sandwich with it. It's so good! It consists of 4 types of Organic Greens, VERY tender NAE Chicken Breast, Sesame-Miso Dressing, which brings out a decidedly Asian flavor that you love. Something about that creaminess attained in the miso-paste dressing. I enjoy the addition of a crunchy cast of characters. Shredded carrots, red bell pepper, snap peas, and sesame sticks complete it nicely. This salad is always my favorite! CHICKEN SALAD CROISSANT ~ $6.49 (6 oz.): Made with shredded NAE chicken breast, this is a lovely and filling chicken salad sandwich. Their recipe is light and tasty. CROISSANT 3-Pack ~ $5.79 Buttery and rich, great for breakfast. Somehow, Sprouts is often out of stock on this item. CREAM CHEESE DANISH 3-Pack ~ $5.79 ($1.93/each): I adore these sweetened cream cheese blobs in the middle of a buttery puff pastry round. Heat it up in the microwave for 8 seconds to warm it up. I'm in love with this one! What can I say? I love my treats! **FIVE FABULOUS STARS!!**
