Almost every Wednesday evening right before 730 yoga, it's brisket and beer at Mission BBQ! This routine helps with that final climb over hump day! The food is good, the employees are friendly and helpful, and the story and mission behind Mission BBQ is awesome: "Proudly serving those who serve". They have regular "black plate" specials. My favorite is the espresso ribeye for $15. It is a good size portion of flavorful meat at an affordable price. For $5, you can get a "heroes cup", which gives you discounted refills on your subsequent visits. There is a variety of sauces on the table to dress your meat of choice which includes: chicken, brisket, turkey, and ribs. They also have salmon for you pescatarians. I have yet to try the desert options but the banana pudding is on my list to check off. They have outdoor seating and share a parking lot with Blaze Pizza next door. Kids meals are available which include sliders and Mac and cheese. They also have canned beers and a variety of other drinks if you're looking for something other than tea, lemonade, or fountain sodas. They also provide free meals to service men and women on certain holidays such as veterans day and 9.11 to recognize them.

Thanks to Matt and his fantastic staff we are set for an unexpected holiday gathering. With holidays here, Mission BBQ has many options to relieve your cooking needs. Mission at SR 54 and Sunlake in Pasco has come to our rescue for this Thanksgiving with an added pre holiday get together. Matt and all his fantastic staff went over ideas and options with us and we have pre-ordered turkey by the pound (not sliced to keep in moisture and comes with cornbread), which is sold by the half pound, and we ordered several larger portion sides of green beans, baked beans, sweet potato mash, cheesy potatoes and apple cobbler. All for pick honest Tuesday. The SR 54 store is a warm and happy location, and we just had a fun birthday celebration there. Smiles abound with good food and fully tummies. TIP: The large cups support Wreaths Across America this season.

I have visited other Mission BBQ locations and have always been very satisfied with the food and their support for first responders makes it even more desirable. The food is freshly made and has great taste. We had the smoked ribeye, pulled pork and half a chicken with Mac-n-cheese, collard greens, fresh cut French fries and corn bread. The servers were very helpful with explaining the menu options. The military and first responder decor was fun!

Brisket, Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage, Mac and Cheese, Cornbread, fries great portion sizes.4 sauces. I liked Memphis belle and Alabama white.

I have been wanting to try this place! Happy I did from the moment I stepped in the entire staff was kind and welcoming. The young lady greeted me immediately and I believe the manager nice guy introduced himself. I asked her recommendation for sides. I enjoyed her recommendations. I got two meats and two sides with cornbread about $22-23. The amount of food was big for me I made it into two meals. I got the brisket (moist) and jalapeño cheddar sausage. French fries and Mac and cheese. I enjoyed everything. The brisket melts in your mouth no sauce needed. The Alabama White creamy one is the best! I will definitely return. I want to try their ribs and collard greens ( the greens were out) I hear they are popular. I love the boardwalk style fries and the "old bay" reminds me of where I grew up in Maryland. I just need some malt vinegar or maybe that NC vinegar sauce? Mac and Cheese was ok I will definitely get a different side.

My wife and I usually come here for lunch. The place is clean, and décor is dedicated to honoring the military. You order the food at the counter and they call your name once your food is ready. The drinks here are self serve fountain and I like how they use a tool box for things like straws, salt, pepper and lids. At the table you find a six pack of various bbq sauces and a role of paper towels. If you never been to a mission bbq before I would suggest looking up the menu in advance otherwise you'll have the cheerful person at the register looking at you waiting patiently to take your order which kind of rushes you along. The staff here are very friendly and on occasion they even offer to fill your drink. The food comes out quickly and is at a good temperature. The brisket is very good, the chicken can be dry at times, the ribs fall off the bone and have a nice bark, and my favorite is the jalapeño sausage. The sides are good and my favorite are the beans and Mac & cheese. In my option a great lunch stop or quick, easy dinner.

Food is really good. It's a bit pricey but what isn't these days. Rather spend the money there than a McDonald

We have a lot of BBQ options in the Carrollwood area. Our "go to" was Sonny's for a long time…read more(Mom and Grandma's favorite) but all the local stores closed. Nearest one now is Palm Harbor. So, we switched to Willie Jewell's and enjoyed them until they went out of business. Another GREAT spot is Jazzy's but it tends to be quite pricey. Tried Mission BBQ, but it's just ok IMHO. So, last night we took a shot at 4Rivers Smokehouse. I'm not a big fan of counter ordering, but the employees were very pleasant. Food was served in an appropriate timeframe and we sat down at an empty booth. The dining room is quite large and can handle large parties as well. Whenever I try a new place I tend to over-order to try to taste as much as possible. I had the 3x2 which is three meats and 2 sides. I ordered the St.Louis ribs, pulled pork, and Texas sausage. Side were BBQ beans and Southern coleslaw. My wife had the Burnt ends sandwich and fries with the Southern corn as her second side. My ribs were excellent--meaty, the right amount of fat and not dry at all. The pulled pork was outstanding and was probably the best I've had in the area. The sausage meat was delicious but the casing was like plastic and nearly inedible. I peeled it off. The BBQ sauce choices on the table are regular and hot. I thought the regular sauce was too sweet and the hot was too savory, but combined...perfect! My wife tried the special blueberry BBQ sauce and really enjoyed it. The burnt ends were delicious and the bun was nice and soft and soaked up the sauce. The sides were good and complemented the meat but were nothing to write home about. Overall a great meal for BBQ fans. The separate hand washing station in the dining room was a nice touch. We will definitely be going back and could be the new "go to".

Disappointing visit. I dropped by around 4 on a Sunday afternoon to take out a cuban and a side of…read morebaked beans. Only two people were ahead of me in line, and I had to wait 15 minutes for my order, which can be made in 5 minutes. There were at least 7 employees in the restaurant, doing what, I have no idea. When I got home, the cuban was marginally 6", No provolone cheese or string onions. The baked beans were mostly sauce, not beans. To pay almost $14, this is not a good value. Also, my bag had almost 20 napkins in it, and 3 BBQ sauce packets. My sandwich was so small, 1 sauce would have been sufficient. The management needs to look at quality control and speed of orders. Over staffed and poor attention to detail. The visit before, my rib order was also disappointing - small ribs, with little meat. Not going back.
