Our original plans for Cinco de Mayo were thwarted by long waits everywhere else, but ending up at Texas Roadhouse turned out to be a total win. Honestly, I wasn't even mad about the change of plans! One of the best parts of the experience is the atmosphere, my dad and I especially love coming here for the peanuts. Of course, you also can't go wrong with their iconic bread rolls and cinnamon butter; they are easily a highlight of the visit. For drinks, my mom and I both tried the margaritas; I highly recommend the Mango Margarita, and the Jamaican Cowboy Margarita was equally delicious and refreshing. I'm super happy I gave this restaurant a second chance. Not sure if this one was better because it was a different location but I was impressed with the quality of the ribeye I chose. I do know how to pick a good one tho They cooked my bfs perfectly, mine a little more rare than medium rare and you could tell had been sitting and was not as hot as his. They gladly heated it up a bit more and it was perfect. However , I made the mistake of getting the mushrooms and onions on the side, I thought they were included with the steak. We went on Mother's Day and used the app to save our place in line. It was super crowded as expected and when we got there we parked and we texted right away to get seated. Once again we hit Texas Roadhouse! My husband has family in from the Netherlands and we wanted to take them somewhere very American so what screams the USA as much as steak and ribs!? They start you off with their honey butter rolls and cinnamon butter., I thought these were just ok. They were sweeter than I like and the cinnamon butter was a bit strong. The beef tips were cooked well and had good flavor,. Overall service was pretty decent. Server was attentive and kept us topped off. As an FYI, it is relatively dark and loud in the restaurant. I've been coming here for over 7 years now and it recently had went downhill a bit! We came to celebrate my birthday lunch around 4 on Saturday and got a table for 5 in about 30 minutes or less. I always start with the boneless wings but today they were pretty greasy and tasted like they were cooked in old oil. My steak was pretty tough, and even hard to cut with the steak knife. My mom and husband also got some pretty tough sirloins as well, but we didn't really want to complain to our server, who wasn't exactly a ray of sunshine to begin with. She really didn't even acknowledge the fact that we came to celebrate a birthday, which was a bit disappointing. They still have early dining which really is the best deal. How can you go wrong with 10.99 steak with two sides and the best buns and butter ever. My daughter had a long week, so I took her to one of her favorite spots. We Indulged in the bread, of course, but she really came for her usual....steak bites and broccoli. We tried the fried pickles for the first time...it was steaming hot and fresh. I tasted a few, but we thought they were a little too tangy. I'm a bread and butter chip (sweet) pickle, kinda girl. So many issues that in isolation wouldn't have been a problem, but together just showed that there were breakdowns in every part of their operation. They should not be a training facility. Visiting family in the area and wanted to go. Got on waitlist, was told it was about a 15 minute wait. 30 mins later when we weren't called yet and others after us being seated. Checked status with host, something didn't work, we were not on waitlist. They finally seated us, no big deal. Server was busy, didn't get drinks for a long time and also out of rolls. No big deal. Someone in our party ordered "medium well, take it almost to well done." She can't eat anything raw because of a medical reason. Steak came out almost rare. No big deal - they took it back to fix it. Everyone was done eating by the time it came back. Disappointed that it wasn't the dining experience we hoped for, but still no big deal. When we got the check, it had kids grapefruit juices (no charge...maybe for the server to get her stats up? points? not sure) but no big deal. We had not touched the tablet on the table...server turned it around and instructed us to use it to pay. When we went to pay it added $1.99 charge for using the terminal. Server said it was a charge for the premium content...but we ONLY used it to try to pay the bill. Manager refused to take it off because we also had a military discount and didn't want to discount further. OK, now it's a big deal. It was a small amount, but we should not have to pay for something we did not use...ever...regardless of what other discounts that we rightly had. So basically because one of us was military, it makes it ok to charge us for something we didn't use? Embarrassed on their behalf...since it doesn't seem that they have the sense to be embarrassed for themselves. Roadhouse, you maybe want to keep it in your inside voice next time. read more
