Went out for a late dinner and had a gift-card (we love Longhorn!), so decided we wanted some steak. We arrived around 8pm and it's a Tuesday, so the dinner crowd was gone, which was nice. Longhorn has a great atmosphere, plays really good music, and the waitstaff are always great! This month is my anniversary of being part of the e-club, so we got a free appetizer (sign up, great perks!)... Have never tried the Texas Tonion (we usually get the mushrooms), so that's what we got -- and they do not disappoint. The serving was HUGE (we'd already eaten several petals before I took the pic), and I actually like this better than the Bloomin' Onion from Outback because it's not so greasy! It was late so we split our steak, but we got the 20oz Outlaw Ribeye! DELICIOUS! This steak is done so perfectly, beautifully marveled and full of flavor, and just enough char! We had the house salad with ranch and a fully loaded baked potato for our sides. As you can see in the pic, even the potato was huge. This is a great location, the food is always perfect, and the staff very well trained -- the manager stopped by the table twice. Seated immediately, drinks/food served promptly. Lots young adults working as hostess, bussers and wait staff. Went on a night NBA finals night and asked if they were playing the game and the hostess said yes. We sat down 10 mins later was waiting for the game asked what happened to the game why are we watching a track meet. They came back and said they don't have the channel. It wasn't very packed and restaurant has seen better days. Carpet looks dirty booth seats have lost the cushion in them. The broccoli was pretty basic, but there is only so much you can do with broccoli. My wife & I haven't eaten out very much for the past month because I have been laid up with a back injury. I had finally recovered to the point of being able to eat at a sit-down restaurant again, so we decided to go to the Citrus Park Longhorn Steakhouse for an early dinner on Sunday (11\16\2025). Anthony D. was our server, and he did a first-class job of taking care of my wife & I throughout the meal. My wife ordered a medium-rare 6 oz filet mignon with mushrooms and a Caesar salad. I ordered a 20 oz medium-rare ribeye steak with mushrooms and a Caesar salad. We both had sweet tea and a desert. My meal was perfect. However, my wife's filet was cooked to a medium-well temperature. All service was extremely slow that afternoon because the place was packed. Because of that, my wife simply filed a complaint about her steak; but she did not ask for a replacement. Although Anthony did offer her one. Overall, our experience was a very positive one. My husband & I are on a salt restricted diet. We are searching for a restaurant where we can get food with no added salt. We were assured we could order low/no salt on our food. Came in since it had been quite some time since our last visit. My daughter got the steakhouse Mac and cheese and I ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken. My hubs got the steak and asparagus and we ordered the spicy chicken tenders as an appetizer. Our dinners also came with side salads which we opted for house with ranch. The spicy chicken was a great appetizer!! The tenders were so tender and great flavor. Not to mention that you get a rather large portion! The waiter advised the person who brought the meals that there should be a Mac and cheese also. We also asked for A1 and drink refills. Our waiter took another bit of time but came back with our drinks however no A1 or Mac and cheese. We all sat there just waiting until the Mac and cheese finally arrived like 7 minutes later as we eat as a family. My husband love this place ! We went for date night and had to rock , paper , scissors and he won so ended up at longhorn yet again ! I'm not mad about it I had a mango margarita with sugar rim it came with the shaker to pour more when you drank what was in the cup it was not strong enough but it was tasty . Celebrate! with family that could not be with us on Christmas day. This meant finding a nice place for us to come together. I like that, it extends the joyful spirit! We all decided to meet at LongHorn. Fab One and I arrived first, then shortly after, her daughter and two beautiful granddaughters arrived. We were seated then greeted by a server extraordinaire! A guy with a dark twirl of locks above his requisite mask. I'll call him Mr Wonderful, because he took such excellent care of us...it was a natural co-existence between us. His doting on us was real, he truly wanted us to have a memorable visit. And that we did! Just WHO was that masked man, you ask? Jason C, was his name...he goes by Jay. And now I'll detour from my usual 'she got this and I ordered that' routine a bit. I will just say the French Onion soup, the Grilled Chicken & Strawberry Salads and the Chop Steak were MAGNIFICENT! I don't know what happened in the past few months, but this location has seen a huge decrease in the quality of service. I've been coming here for lunch regularly for almost nine years, and never had an issue until 2024. The single major issue is the inattentive wait staff. During the last two visits, they'd show up promptly but never return after dropping off the food. No refills, no checking to see if our food was alright. Just vanish until they'd spot a credit card on the table. Today's visit solidified my idea to give this location a pass for a while. I got in just after 11 and the manager had to flag down the hostess because he saw I was standing around waiting when the place is almost empty. After being seated, I took out my phone and started answering e-mails and reviewing meeting notes. When I was done, I noticed it had been about 15 minutes since I sat down. No one was in sight. I could hear a few other diners, but I guess they forgot I was here. Gave them a few more minutes then made the call to leave since I wouldn't have enough time to eat and drive back to my office. No one was around when I left, either. Everyone had retreated to the back of house. There are good people here, and if I get seated in their section there's never an issue, but when you have limited time, gambling on a lazy waiter isn't worth it. read more

We arrived Friday 5/10/24 about 3:30PM. The restaurant itself was clean, less than half full with good ambiance. I can't say the same for the men's room. It was one of the most disgusting I have used. Our server Jenna saved the day. Exactly the type of server one would find in the finest restaurants in Paris. I used to think this was a great, reliable restaurant. After eating there last night, I've totally changed my opinion. I was violently sick all night. I started feeling bad about an hour after eating there. The cleanliness was marginal. The service was just fair. Both drink orders were incorrect and never offered water at all. Had to ask and then it still took a long time. When you screw up drink orders, you make concessions but nobody cares. The mushroom app was barely warm after being told "be careful, it's hot." Was that the offending food that made me sick all night? The entree wasn't cooked the same way as it has been in the past. Parm crusted chicken? It was cut up into pieces that looked like unbreaded tenders and there was no crust (just melted white cheese) and it seemed like it should have been served to a toddler. What happened? That used to be one of their best dishes. Ugh. Then we got the wrong check when trying to pay. Not a big deal but that meant potentially someone else got our credit card if they were also handed back the wrong little folder. It's the details that matter. We came here last night for my husbands birthday. He chose this place, so we decide to go. It was pretty packed on a Tuesday night. I normally don't go to chain restaurants that much but this one wasn't bad. The staff was friendly and prompt. Kristian was our server and he was engaging and personable. I ordered the renegade combo with shrimp with a side of the crispy Brussel sprouts. Crispy Brussel sprouts are becoming popular at restaurants and I am not mad at it! They were delicious and flavorful. The shrimp has a glaze that was sweet. I appreciate that they add the calories to the menu, so I can make an informed decision on dinner. For example, if I wanted to stay at around 600-700 calories for dinner I could do that here. The only thing is, there was confusion about my order. The kitchen gave me the shrimp entree instead of the steak and shrimp combo. Our server quickly corrected it and brought my 6 Oz sirloin out promptly. Really wanted Longhorn but had to leave after receiving dirty plates and a drink that had debris in the bottom of the glass. Very upsetting.

I had high hopes for this Longhorn (as I hate going to the new barnlike location of their main competitor). Longhorn has a more tradition design with booths and seats, and not as many HUGE distracting Televisions as some steakhouses. I prefer this design for the intimacy, and quiet it has, it make for a much more enjoyable meal. I have been twice... the first time, we dubbed our waiter "Mr. Grumpy" even though he was polite and helpful... he was just no smiles, and just there. I ordered a ribeye, which came pan fried (because I forgot to specify Wood grilled) and it was ok, but not great. More Medium / Medium Well than the Medium Rare that I asked for. They trim almost all the fat off, and it was almost like eating a sirloin, as it did not even seem to have much marbling (which I expect in a Ribeye). Side was steamed Broccoli and a side Caesar salad. The sides were fine, no issues. Second visit.. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye, wood grilled and again Medium Rare. It came out more Rare (which I prefer to overcooked) and was again ok, not much fat, on it. More marbling than the previous ribeye, so it was tastier. But still a bit bland for a wood grilled ribeye... not really impressed. Sides were creamed spinach and a side Caesar salad... again sides were fine. Our waitress on the second visit rocked it... was very fun and entertaining, and laughed her butt off when we mentioned our "Mr. Grumpy" experience. Very personable! I think it was Longhorn I used to love back in the late 90's for wood grilled Prime Rib they had... that they no longer advertise. It was delicious, and you could taste the wood grilled goodness. I suspect they have some sort of corporate approved wood grill system that is safe, efficient, non-carcinogenic, and totally flavorless... oh well! So still trying to find a GOOD steakhouse that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, within a reasonable distance, for when I am too lazy to cook myself. I will probably go back... hoping for better... :) read more
