Very impressed by Mission Wine and Spirits. Pros: + Outstanding selection. All other stores are sold out of some rare whiskys (particularly Japanese 12+ years), but they have a good selection of them, as well as other exotics. There are dozens and dozens of each type of liquor including bourbons, ryes, etc. + Decent prices, better than Bevmo and Total Wine, not as cheap as Costco (but who is?) + There can be a line inside to pay, but it moves fast. + Knowledgeable wine experts. I was able to describe the wine tastes of one of my gift recipients this year, and he was able to immediately recommend an Alsacian wine from France/Germany and provide a very detailed description and history. Cons: - A few of the shelves and refrigerators can get a little disorganized, but it is Christmas shopping time, so I can excuse the mess given the rush of shoppers. - It can be hard to see the exotic bottles behind the counter because they're so far away, even with good eyes. I wish they'd set up a glass case to be able to view the expensive items up close through glass like Bevmo, Total Wine and Costco do instead of putting them 15 feet away. I'm 75 years old and I went to Mission Liquors to buy a $89 bottle of bourbon. I asked if I could use their men's room and they said it was not for the public. One of the best places to buy spirits in Los Angeles. They have a better selection than pretty much everywhere else and the best prices on almost everything. Given the already great prices, the groupon was a steal that I jumped on in a hot second and encouraged everyone I know to buy. They have a pretty good selection of craft beer and wine as well, although I was too focused on the spirits to notice the prices on other items. I was on a life long search for panamanian alcohol since my trip to panama a while back (don't correct me, I know what I said). Not only did they have the usual ones there that you'd fine in the usual stores but they had the more expensive trims of them also. I don't know fancy wine verbiage... my bad. Can't really comment on the price because it's pretty fucking cheap in Panama. Plus if you can get on their good side and know how to barder they'll hook it. Let's just say I had to do alot of strategic clothes wrapping and wording on paperwork. Seemed reasonable considering I've seen it pretty damn expensive online. Bevmo no carry this... they can suck it lol. Do you know how many panamanians are in cali? A lot! And we fucking drink! And cause shit loads of havoc in New York when we take trips there. I came here with my Groupon the other night. I liked the vastness of the store and the huge selection of adult beverages. I found a few of the storekeepers there friendly and helpful. Got the wines I was looking for and checked out, going $13 above my Groupon deal, but oh well. I wasn't too keen on the check out guy tho--a little aloof and needed to smile. Big selection of vodka, gin, tequila, Scotch, and American whiskeys that are not from Kentucky. The vodka was priced the best. Not much was on sale, but the holidays might have something to do with that. Liquor stores are one of the few places that don't need to offer deals to lure Christmas shoppers. The wine inventory had a wide range of prices. Regardless of the price, the wines were heavily from well-known California vintners. The shelves are not well stocked for the unique or overseas wines. I don't drink much but I've come across this gem several times because this is a perfect place for gifts! They have such a HUGE variety of alcohol! The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable on their products. It amazes me how many products they offer. My first purchase here was the gold Ace of Spades to celebrate my boyfriend turning 23 and ever since then (almost 2 years ago) has been my go to spot! Their liquor isn't always on sale and if you really want to save a few extra dollars than I would suggest reviewing the weekly ads to see what grocery store may have what you're looking for on sale. I don't mind spending the extra bucks here if the items aren't on sale because this place rocks! The customer service is always on point and the staff is friendly. read more

This place is a clown car of rude disorganization. This was the second time I tried to do business with them, to no avail. Website wouldn't take my order. Called and the guy says they have 3 bottles, will hold them behind the counter. Drive 40 minutes each way and when I get there they don't even want to look. After I talked to 3 people they finally decide to look (or not, was hard to tell), and said they don't have the spirits I wanted. This place is dead to me. read more

We stepped in the other evening on the advice of family members and WOW!, what a store this is. There are rows and rows of any liquor you can think to buy, and they have a wonderful wine collection! We purchased 6 wines and were signed up with their wine club. They have wine tasting every Thursday and Friday. The staff is friendly and the store is very clean. read more

I came here for a wine that was hard to find. I was so excited to find it!! The cashier asked me if I wanted six because I would get a discount and I said sure. When I got home and opened a bottle I realized it was the wrong year! I was disappointed because it tasted nothing like what I was expecting. I called to see if I could exchange it or get a store credit... they said sales were final. I was pretty disappointed in their customer service/return policy. Giving one star for what happened to me. I placed an order online for a 1k bottle of spirit. Waited for two days to get my order processed, submitted required IDs, but I was noticed that the bottle was damaged when transferred from warehouse to shipping location and it is the only one they have, so I will be refunded at the end! Excuse me? I called them right after I placed the order and a sir answered that they don't have the bottle, while the other customer representative said they only have one bottle left. Not sure if they still feel a great loss for marking this bottle (MSPR $90+) as $999, but still in the secondary market, it would cost $1400+. I will call keep an eye on them if they have this back online and marked it as a higher price. read more

I will periodically stop by and pick a bottle tequila or wine. The staff though cordial, I have never found to be pleasant. Today I stopped in and picked up some tequila, went to the cashier (which happened to be a women) and let me just say, some people have no business working with the public. Her people skills are terrible! She acts as though she is in a job that she can't stand and that bleeds over into her attitude towards customers. I am shocked that management allows her to interact with its patrons. Even an attempt to lighten the situation with a small joke was to no avail. My mother used to say that "some people could find something wrong with a million dollars". With this women that's for certain. Even with the large selection, fair pricing, convenient parking and one or two guys that seem to go out of their way to help, this is an establishment that I can do without. Maybe, just maybe its not her fault. Maybe shes simply a product of that environment. My goodness, how much does it cost to smile and be nice. I'm sure the do good business, after all they do sell liquor. But, I can't help but wonder, how many customers they've lost from poor attitudes. read more

When I was not at home to accept the delivery that they refused to allow me to have held at a FedEx facility they pulled the shipment and had FedEx return it to them. This was done in the middle of the night without my having any opportunity to contact FedEx about a rescheduled delivery. Awful, awful, awful, awful, awful. If you want to be treated like it's your privilege to deal with a merchant, and that they are the be all and end all, then by all means deal with Mission. But if you want attentive, customer oriented service, particularly on shipped orders, go elsewhere online! read more

On numerous occasions I've found that I've paid more than I would have if I shopped elsewhere. definitely a solid place and a one stop shop for most of your alcoholic needs. from high end scotches to the nastiest fucking four loko-ish products you can think of, mission wine & spirits has it all. at reasonable prices too. you don't need any club cards to get discounts, almost everything in the store is comparable to other places in the area. as an added plus they have nicer bourbons like four roses for super cheap. the only downside here is that a bottle of redbreast 12 year was about 3 bucks more than the usual spot i get my whiskey from. oh well. russian river brewing decided to be some goddamned nazis about their beer too, so you're SOL if you're looking for blind pig or pliny the elder. only ruination and another brew from the company is sold there. not mission's fault though. this place is like an upscale bevmo with cheaper prices. which is funny considering some of the moon crickets we saw stumble into the store HIGH AS HELL. ole girl's dank breath permed my fucking nose hairs. the location is a few miles from colorado so you don't have to worry so much about traffic or parking getting there. great place to stock up on good liquor for yourself, and shittier liquor for houseguests who don't know the difference. don't judge me. i know i'm not the only one that does that. read more

Best liquor store around... I recently moved to the area and was happy to find a place with such a great selection of, well everything. Hands down better than B-Mo and on-par with, if not slightly better than Total Wine. Only drawbacks: Closed Sunday, and they don't carry kegs. read more
