    Brunch menu 4/2026

This is always a guaranteed great hangout. Spacious indoor with lots of Dodgers games playing, spacious outdoor with umbrellas and bench tables outdoors. Music not too loud. Food has something for everyone. Brunch menu available on the weekends. Parking right next door at the School House Garage. Pet-friendly. Fish and chips properly beer battered. Haven't had anything bad here.

We stopped in during happy hour for a quick beer and a bite to eat. We ordered a local pint, the burger and onion strings. They have great priced happy hour food options. Lots of seating and televisions with sports on. There are no servers, you order at the bar and get a number to place on your table. The onion strings arrived hot & fresh and the burger was a good value for the money.

Really solid vibe to have a drink and watch a sports game. This place is big on soccer, so expect it to be packed if there's an important game going on. Great drink menu, from beer to cocktails. The food is decent, I really enjoy the breakfast burrito. There's not much customer service here because you order on your phone, but there do seem to be regulars, which means the staff is doing something right!

I've been here quite a few time and every single visit has always been great. Sunday afternoon, the weather is great which brought everyone out. We did a quick pop in for a drink before heading home. The place was pretty packed both inside as well as the patio outside. Groups of people gathering to watch the games inside while outside there was a group of sports family enjoying a meal and drinks after a game. Also a little party happening on the patio as well. Inside was quite busy which we thought that everyone was waiting in line to order. Well, they were all having fun. Some a little too much but hey, Sunday funday... lol... The drink options was quite impressive. Both with beer on tap as well as a full bar. The selection on beer was nice as they had loads to choose from. Not only drinks, they also served food. Well, from the looks of dishes on peoples tables, I should of grabbed something here instead of a prior place. Burgers, sandwiches, burritos, a few sides and tacos. It all looked quite nice. We got a table outside which was good since there was a group that was leaving. They're picnic style tables so sometimes it shared with other guest. Back patio connects to the alleyway that is next door to the parking structure. It's always busy with people walking by so it seems quite safe. Not the dingy kind. There's also a little arcade area downstairs on the way to the restroom. Of course all your classic machines, and pinball. Pretty good selections if I do say so. Inside has two sections both with a bar of its own. It a sports bar restaurant so it's family and pet friendly.

    onion strings; Nachos

Pretty crowded especially on game days. I got the nachos w carne asada and the onion strings during happy hour. The nachos were good and warm, but the onion strings were cold when I got them. There was a LOT of onion strings; definitely share with people. It is pretty oily.

Arrived around 9:30 on a Saturday night. The music was bumpkin' and the place was pretty busy. We found seating at a high top table. There are QR codes on the table. You scan the code and you get a menu to pop up. You order drinks and food and pay, all in one transaction. After a 10 minute wait, the drinks arrive. I had the house made lemonade. It was so good. Super tart and refreshing. I thought about ordering a shot of vodka to go with it. There is no server and it seemed to be a hassle to order more items. The fried pickles were way over the top salty. My fish and chips were amazing. . The batter on the fish was super crunchy, the fish was flaky and moist. My daughter had the fried chicken sandwich, she said it was messy but good. My son had the fish sandwich, he thought it was okay. My wife was happy with her nachos. We didn't have a server, so I did have to go to the bar and get a to go boxes.

Great atmosphere, food and drinks. Staff was super nice too. Definitely recommend. The dolewhip drink was amazing!

We stopped in for happy hour , you can't beat a $9 cheeseburger & $4 onion straws , burger was good but the onion straws were a little greasy . There are servers walking around but have to order at the bar , the beers were a little over priced even for local ones .

Well I do have a friend who gave this place negative reviews but considering it was over 10 years ago and many of the recent reviews are good we decided to give it a try. So this is like a sports bar type place. There is some outside seating. It's kinda hot inside but they do have a large portable ac unit which we sat right in front of. You order at the bar or through a QR code at your table which we chose to do. Soda is free refills but you have to go back up to the bar and there is a water station to get your own which is nice for a bar. I had the Cobb salad and the guys had burgers and fries. We also split the cheese naan. I enjoyed the salad, did add chicken breast and I think it would be quite plain and less substantial without it. I like that they tossed the salad but the chicken, avocado and egg was not part of that mix. Corn in a Cobb is a nice touch. I did want to order iced tea but the look of the bar told me they probably don't fresh brew and there was really no one to ask without getting up. My son liked his burger and fries a lot, my husband said both were just ok. The fries he got were supposed to be hot something. I thought they were pretty spicy but he considers it much more mild than described. Cheese naan was really good. I would have loved to have an order to myself but I really should't be eating that much bread. Probably won't ever be back just because we're not from the area and there are other options to try but I think it's worth trying for sure

Excellent burger deal for happy hour! Because you order on the app we did accidentally order 3 beers and 3 burgers, but thats okay, a great time was had. Not a long wait for food, drinks were fast. EXCELLENT PICKLE CHIPS, very generous portion.

Cheese Steak Sandwich, Wings, Onion Strings

Decided to stop here for lunch on a lovely Saturday afternoon. Plenty of open seating as well as outdoor patio seating which is where we sat to watch college football. Family friendly environment. We self-ordered via QR code at the table. The food came pretty quickly and the definite stand out was the wings! They have good choices on sauces or you can have them plain. We chose the chipotle honey and they were well cooked, well sauced and just all-around yummy! We also ordered the cheesesteak and onion strings and they were good but not memorable. I don't drink alcohol but the husband liked the Figueroa Hazy IPA. Parking in Old Town Pasadena is all metered or paid structures. Great bar to hang out with or without a crew but don't skip on those wings!

    Vanessa D.

My loyalty belongs to the Chipotle Honey wings--I'm addicted. But on this visit, I skipped the average fries to try the apple turnover, which proved to be an unexpected showstopper. It was a phenomenal, elevated strudel with a remarkably flaky pastry and a perfectly minimal apple filling. Though the vanilla ice cream was a touch frostbitten, the overall decadence made it easy to forgive. This menu is a triumph, and the turnover is a must-try

    Inside

I really wanted to like this place, but it ended up being pretty underwhelming. The setup is odd -- instead of having servers, you have to scan a QR code, or go up to the bar, and open a tab with the bartender. No table service at all. The drinks were okay, but nothing special, and with the lack of friendly interaction it just felt impersonal. The bartenders weren't rude, but they definitely weren't going out of their way either. The space itself looks nice -- dark brick walls give it a cool vibe -- and there's plenty of seating, especially for a Saturday afternoon. But it was hot inside with no air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable to hang out for long. Most people seemed to just be ordering drinks; hardly anyone was eating food, which probably says something. It's like taking your lunch to the mall food courts. Overall, not terrible, but definitely nothing to write home about. Pretty mediocre experience.

It was a great place for some casual, mildly literary drinking on a Thursday night. The bar was in an alley, and I was happy to find free, easy street parking right outside the alley entrance. The alley was well lit enough that it didn't feel sketchy, though if I were inclined to beat someone up, this would probably be a convenient place to do it. The space was slightly below ground, down a flight of stairs from the alley. It felt like an Irish pub/sports bar with a tap list of California beers in addition to Coors Light and Guinness. Service was friendly and reasonably fast. I had a Made West Hazy IPA and a Pizza Port Amber, both of which I've had and enjoyed several times in several places over the years. I also ate some fries that were lying around, probably but not certainly by someone I at least sort of know. They weren't bad. I live kind of far from Pasadena and T. Boyle's isn't a destination bar, but I'd come back for another round or two after Vroman's. It's a comfortable spot with good draft beer, where you can relax and have some conversations.

There's a parking lot dedicated to the big shopping plaza that Yard House is located in. They have a 90 minute free parking with validation. My group and I went around 3:30 and there were a lot of people seated and waiting for seats. Although their restaurant is pretty big, the hostess did mention that they only had 3 waiters working so a lot of sections were closed off. We were seated within 10 minutes of waiting. We browsed the happy hour menu and ordered pretty quickly after sitting down. Our food all came out one by one. It was pretty decent for the price. We ordered 3 appetizers and the total came out to be ~$35. Appetizers: Poke Nachos (7.4/10): There's a good amount of tuna fish layered on top of the nachos. I really liked the wonton chips they use for this dish since it's a lot lighter than a regular tortilla chip. There's three different types of sauce that they drizzle on top for the nachos. There's a good amount of sweetness and spice between all the sauces. I just wish there were more fish and avocados. Chicken Tenders and Fries (7/10): This one is just your average chicken tenders with fries. It came with 5 tenders and a small basket of fries. The dipping sauces included ranch and honey mustard. This wasn't the same honey mustard I was used to and it had a sour taste to it. The chicken was crispy and had good seasoning in the batter. The fries weren't that good. It was soggy and didn't have any crisp to it. Chicken Nachos (6/10): This one was a heavy on the stomach dish. There's two different types of salsa, cheese, beans, and then a scoop of guac and sour cream in the middle. They used a tortilla chip instead of wonton chips for this dish. Everything felt like a mouthful.

Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

Over the years I have been to Lucky Baldwin's a number of times......all 3 locations, and am yet to…read morehave a "great" experience. My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.
