Always a must stop while in Pasadena ! Staff is always friendly and I love to get a flight and try all the small batch series .

Stone Brewing Tap Room in Pasadena isn't the largest Stone location I've been to, but it offers plenty of beer selections on tap. They also sell merch, pretzels, and to-go beers in cans. Beers here are $9, which is pricey compared to what you'd find at a grocery store, but the main draw is the variety of options available. They also host events like game night trivia, adding to the experience. The space was lively with plenty of people inside. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and parking is available in a nearby structure. The service was friendly--when I asked for water, they even asked if I wanted ice or no ice. The taproom was very clean and had the typical Stone Brewing aesthetic. They also feature rotating food vendors, like Bomba Yucateco Delicacy, which serves flavors from Yucatán. Overall, this brewery is in a prime location of Pasadena and worth a visit.

We love this spot for a casual beer. Staff are always friendly and quick service even when busy. Always a lot of different options to make anyone happy. Nice patio with a few tables outside which our kids enjoy watching the trains go by. They often have a restaurant come and offer bites on the patio to eat or conveniently can order pizza from next door.

First time here! Ordering is a little different, we sat for a bit until they mentioned you have to scan the code on the table. The app places order and keeps your tab open until you close it. REMEMBER to close your tab it stated 20% will be automatically charged if you forget. Which I don't mind since I tip that amount for great service anyway. This a pretty cool spot they have a patio and indoor seating, small snack selection chips, pretzels, candy etc. the staff was friendly . Drinks are cold and tasty, I just wish they had food. You can order from nearby restaurants and bring it in but I prefer being able to sit and order from one place and order throughout my meal service. Overall great place to hang out. We'll be back for sure.

Stone Brewery gets 5 stars from me because their drinks taste great, their service is excellent, and the ambiance is really cool! They are always playing heavy mental music which matches their aesthetic well, plus I just love metal music. Today I got a watermelon mint seltzer and my partner got a Belgian white beer. We both loved our drinks, and I was really happy they had so many seltzer options because I personally don't like beer. I am gonna have to come back to try their frozen margarita, though. Overall, this is a unique spot with a cool vibe that I highly recommend you check out, especially if you want to grab some pizza on your way out. They are right next to the luggage room, so you really can't go wrong with stopping by Stone.

Wish I lived closer or I would be here a ton! Great selection of core and rotating taps. Nice merch section and take home selection as well. Pleasure to meet Mike and the rest of the team; I'll definitely be back.

I love Stone Brewery and I love that they have a local shop. I'm a fan of their Green Tea IPA (kinda my white whale) but alas it's no where to be found. I'm a patient man so I'll wait. In the meantime there's plenty of other beers to be sampled and the tap room has many to try.

There is no food service at this location but they seem to partner with a couple food trucks serving tacos. Some inside open air seating but the main draw is the relaxing patio. I liked their hard seltzers with fun flavors as jicama, tamarindo and passionfruit. I didn't like so much their signature Yerba Mate Pale Ale, but thought it was an interesting concept. The happy hour special is Monday all day and Tuesday-Friday open until 6pm $2 off full pours. Very family friendly, I always see a couple tables with children and dogs at them. Maybe I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy but I hate when parents let their kids go free range. Screaming and running around like the establishment is a park these kids becoming trip hazards. There needs to be a revamp of their board game collection. There three boxes of games that looked incomplete or used up, not good with such games as Scrabble and Pictionary. Free Wifi with log-in is a bonus!

We came in around 6:30. They had just opened but the atmosphere was ready! Dark and moody with candles on the table, it was the perfect spot to grab a drink and catch up. Jeremy was our bartender and he was fantastic. Super chill and friendly and made us some amazing drinks based on a few preferences. Our "bartenders choice" drinks were amazing, so much so that our "drink to end the night" turned into two drinks and some appetizers. We ordered taquitos and mozzarella sticks. I'm a second-generation Irish-American from New York, and St. Patrick's Day has always meant something in my family. Growing up it was about heritage, family, and a little joy. Now that I have two daughters of my own -- very Irish-looking girls who are proud of their roots -- I wanted them to experience some of that same Irish pub spirit. So on St. Patrick's Day 2025, I took them to Griffin's of Kinsale in South Pasadena. They were so excited to be there -- the decorations, the music, the feeling of a real Irish pub. For a moment I thought, this is going to be a great memory for them. We came early because it was a school night. The restaurant was busy -- which is understandable on St. Patrick's Day. I ordered three salmon dinners for my daughters and myself. The bill came to about $150. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over an hour and a half. During that entire time: * No one warned us the kitchen was backed up when we ordered. * No one checked on our table. * No updates. * No communication at all. Had someone simply said "Just so you know, food may take an hour or more tonight," I could have made a different decision -- especially with two kids who had school the next morning. Instead we sat downstairs watching the clock while the evening disappeared. By the end of the night my daughters -- who had been so excited walking in -- were tired, hungry, and miserable. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one came. No explanation. No apology. Restaurants get slammed on holidays. Kitchens fall behind. That happens. But ignoring a table for 90 minutes -- especially a family with children -- isn't a busy night. It's bad management. What should have been a fun St. Patrick's Day memory for my daughters turned into a long, uncomfortable evening where we felt completely invisible. For a place that trades so heavily on Irish identity and hospitality, this was about as far from hospitality as you can get. Save your $150 and celebrate St. Patrick's Day somewhere that actually wants you there. And if management would like to explain how a family ends up waiting 90 minutes with no communication, I'd genuinely be interested to hear it.

That said, when I'm in a Pub I tend to go for Guinness or some kind of 1/2 & 1/2, and this time I chose Smithwick's with a Guinness topper. My bartender, Sarah, proffered a perfect poor, with a smile and a laugh, and I was ready for a good time. The menu is packed with traditional pub favorites plus other general sandwiches and salads, etc. I decided on their Reuben, which is built with Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, both Russian AND Mustard, and it's served with fresh cut Fries. The sandwich was hearty and generously made, with flavorful corned beef boasting all the best of the pickling spices without too much salt -- the cook knows how to balance flavors. The sauerkraut and melty Swiss provided a rich, acidic contrast to the beef, an effect echoed by the blending of Russian with Brown Mustard. Then there was the bread -- an artisan rye with good flavor, appealing texture and just the right amount of fresh seeds to let you know this bread came from an oven not a bag. Fries were hand cut, as advertised, arriving hot and crispy with just the right dusting of salt -- a perfect match for the Reuben. This being Monday night, it was quiet on Colorado Blvd., and the restaurant had only a few people at dinner time. While this was a laid-back visit, I'm well aware the place can get busy and boisterous when people descend on their back-alley entrance, and it's hard to know which scenario would be better: the high energy pulse or the calm conversation. Best to come in multiple times for a proper scientific analysis (as well as several cold pints and a few very good meals).

Another friend ordered Negroni, which is a potent cocktail with a bitter sharp, dry aftertaste. I could hardly taste any hint of sweetness in the drink. My friend thought it was too bitter, too. Honestly, for me it tastes just as bitter as a Manhattan, probably because both cocktails incorporate sweet vermouth. 3 stars for the poor customer service and wait time for standing in line to order drinks. There were 2 or 3 bartenders and they were rushing but also seemed like they weren't efficiently helping customers with drinks in a timely manner. The lounge area was meh (super limited seat spots) and the vibes were bland despite coming here on New Year's Eve. Definitely an older demographic that frequents this bar, not that it's a bad thing, just not our vibe since it would've been more fun if there other people closer to our age, so we decided to bar hop elsewhere after.
