    Matcha cheesecake ... $90
    Anna A.

Ordered a matcha cheesecake for my wedding. The cake itself was delicious! Fluffy creamy cheesecake, pleasant matcha taste, great crust, perfect amount of sweetness (not too sweet, not too bitter). Expect the raw matcha powder on top was difficult to eat so we had to scrape it off. Also when dry matcha powder becomes moist in patches, it isn't too pleasant to look at which usually isn't a issue but this didn't look like a $90 cake. Visual aspect of food is important and I don't think the matcha powder on top is a necessary part of the cake. Pickups are inside an eye lash studio which I found a bit odd but the receptionist was very sweet (and I don't think she has anything to do with the cake company). When I arrived at 11:30AM (pick-up starts at 11AM) cakes did not arrive yet. This was my last errand before going to the courthouse so it was a bit stressful for a delay for an expensive cake company. I would probably order again but not for a stressful event and not the matcha.

Quite disappointed. Hubby took one bite and said he was not into it. Thankfully, this was not for a special occasion. I wasn't into it, but was fine after adding some honey to sweeten and flavor it up a bit. The Original tastes too mild. Tastes more like milk curdle than cheese. I like the fluffy texture, but would prefer it to be creamier. After I ate this, I had two more desserts from the fridge and like those much more. Too bad they make me buy two slices, so there is less room for delicious things in my tummy.

FREE DELIVERY: "The Original" Mr. Artisan Cheesecake aka Japanese Rare Cheesecake | $6.50 slice ($7.50 salted caramel sauce)

Anyone have a fascination with jiggly AZN desserts? *Raises hand* Remember the implant cake aka Raindrop cake from several years ago? When I bought one, I was so intrigued that I kept shaking it. I shook it so hard that it almost went flying into a guy's face. Maybe he would have enjoyed that - who doesn't want DDs in their face? J/k! I saw a Yelp ad for Mr. Artisan Confectionery who specializes in Japanese Rare Cheesecakes, a no-bake cheesecake with a jiggly texture. Also, saw they were offering FREE delivery AND a 20% off promo (code on their website) so why not. M  E  N  U * 8 inch Original: $50 * By the slice: $6.50 each * Salted Caramel Topping: $7.50 per jar ***FREE Delivery in the Bay Area**** (Check website for delivery schedule) It's recommended that you eat the cake within 3 days or you can freeze it. O R D E R I N G Seamless online ordering process; pay online. After placing my order, I thought it was going to be delivered the next day. However, I got a kind text that they could deliver my order later that afternoon. I was given an hour time-frame for delivery and the driver arrived on-time masked. Suggestion: Please add a tip option for the in-house delivery driver on the online ordering form. Felt bad not being able to tip since I don't carry cash.  (2/4/21 UPDATE: You can tip delivery drivers via Venmo @misterartisan.) C O V I D S A F E P A C K A G I N G I appreciated the thoughtful packaging: * Box was sealed shut. Cake slices were taped down so they didn't shift inside the box. * Bag with caramel was stapled shut to prevent tampering. * Wrapped utensils. T H E O R I G I N A L Japanese Rare Cheesecakes are no-bake cheesecakes made with yogurt. While healthier, the taste and texture are not sacrificed. It was my first time having a Japanese Rare Cheesecake and I loved it! The thick, graham cracker crust was deliciously buttery and crunchy; didn't crumble easily. The cheesecake has a panna cotta-like texture, silky smooth and ultra creamy. The yogurt adds a great tangy acidity but it's balanced. The thick salted caramel sauce was sweet with a subtle hit of saltiness. While the cheesecake can stand on its own, the salted caramel sauce elevated it.   If you're into the lightness of AZN desserts and/or looking for a healthier take on cheesecake, this is def worth a try. S E R V I C E Gotta give a shout-out for their great service; friendly, upbeat texts and prompt delivery. They were also very gracious for the support.  Overall, I'm so happy that I found Mr. Artisan Confectionery on Yelp. Looking forward to ordering from them again!

I have a major sweet tooth and so I'm always on the look out for new patisseries/bakeries. I was really curious to see how these cheesecakes would taste. I've been let down before by baked Japanese cheesecake (it's basically sponge cake with barely any cheese) so I was hesitant to see that Mister Artisan makes Japanese rare cheesecake. My fears were completely unfounded. The texture of the cheesecake is divine: pillowy cheese with a perfectly paired graham cracker base. Once you start eating this cheesecake, you can't stop! I thought their salted caramel sauce was nice, but I honestly think that the cheesecake was great without it. I probably won't get it next time but I am glad that I tried it. It was certainly fun to pour it onto the cheesecake and make it look pretty! Taste aside, everything else about the Mister Artisan experience was splendid. The presentation is immaculate; I love the minimalist aesthetic and also the cake kind of glistens and jiggles like tofu hehe. Ordering on their website is super easy and I was able to take advantage of their free delivery service. They text you to confirm all your details, which makes the process super transparent and organized. When my mom first tasted the cheesecake, her jaw dropped. She promptly declared that it was the best cheesecake that she had ever had (mine too tbh) and asked me for the business' details so that she could tell her coworkers about it. I regret only buying a couple slices and not a whole entire cheesecake! I can easily see myself gifting these cheesecakes to others and I will absolutely be a repeat customer so that my family can enjoy these delectable cheesecakes every once in a while. Thank you Mister Artisan for sharing your art and expertise with the Bay Area! April 14th update: tried their matcha cheesecake, still delightful but I must say that I enjoyed the original more. You can't go wrong with the OG cheesecake here!

Cheesecake lovers rejoice!!! I have definitely been trying a lot more cake places during this time since I'm unable to go to dessert stores. I recently discovered Mr. Artisan from a friend and I am so glad I found them! They are a relatively new place serving 8 inch cheesecakes and also by the slice. They are also doing free delivery in SF and Bay Area! Their delivery FAQs and schedule can be found on their website. Onto the cheesecake! I always preferred other types of cakes to cheesecake but this cheesecake was soooo good!! I am a cheesecake believer now! The whole cake overall looks huuuge and it is so soft and jiggly. I didn't want to cut into it!! It was the perfect amount of sour mixed with sweet and I easily ate one huge slice by myself and wanted seconds.... The bottom crust was a little hard to cut into but it did not crumble super easily. Definitely check this place out if you are into cheesecakes and even if you're not, I feel like it's definitely worth looking into!! They are currently doing a 20% off promo before Valentine's Day so this is a perfect sweet treat for your loved ones or just for yourself!! ;)

top of the cheesecakes look so shiny and smooth -- it's amazing!

First off, I just want to give a shout-out to the amazing customer service here. I was in SF for an overnight stay and ordered a slice for free next day delivery to the area. When I realized that the scheduled time for delivery wouldn't come in time before I left the city, I contacted Mister Artisan Cheesecake and they made arrangements for me to get same day delivery. This meant they went out of their way to start making a fresh cake (4-6 hours) and deliver outside their normal delivery hours. It really meant a lot to me how much they cared about getting my order to me. Now to the actual cheesecake -- it's unlike any I've tried before. It's incredibly light, silky and smooth: almost like eating a yogurt kind of texture with all the wonderful flavor of cheesecake and a crumbly base. I tried it with the caramel sauce, which is pretty sweet, but pairs extremely well with it. I also had some passion fruit curd leftover and I thought it tasted good with the cheesecake as well. Everyone I shared it with was trying to savor every last bite and scraping off the remainders on the plate! The best part is that after you finish, you don't feel as full and heavy as when you eat a typical style cheesecake. Lastly, based on the packaging that everything was delivered, it's clear that the company was very intentional in making sure the slices were preserved during transport. My whole experience showed how much this place cares about their customers (they make everything fresh once receiving orders!), all while delivering a really tasty, smooth, and unique cheesecake :)

You got my saying My, My, My My, My, My The cheesecake was good tonight It was so damn fine I wanna say My, My, My My, My, My The cheesecake was great tonight (^o^) Okay... now that the song I was singing while yumming away at the cheesecake has been recognized... LET ME TELL YOU! I'm so extremely glad that Mister Artisan Cheesecake has graced us with his skill and careful craftsmanship of this kind! Never have I tasted such a delicate fluffy and savor worthy cheesecake. The insane definition of flat line amd borders on the cheesecake was enough for me to be in awe. Slicing it was a dream... this cheesecake didn't clump at every slice made... it slid so gently and glided off the cake slicer on to the plate. I could easily inhale a slice, but I knew the specialty of this cake needed to be savored and shared with the rest of the party - so I kept to one large slice. The caramel topping is a perfect pair for someone like myself who likes desserts to be sweeter. Others who preferred no extra sweetness took a pass on the caramel but thoroughly enjoyed the cake for all the deliciousness it was. (*´罒`*) Aside from such a unforgettable product is solid commendable service! The service from Jonathan was exponentially admirable! Delivery and great communication- he was very polite and accommodating to my last minute order! I'm excited for this spot! I am excited for it to be known by the community because it truly is a hidden gem right now!

I am a huge fan of cheesecake so the moment I heard of Mister Artisan I knew it was going to be my birthday cake this year. To quality control before I got an 8 inch cake for a party 10, I got a slice of the original cheesecake for my boyfriend and I to try. It instantly became my favorite cheesecake and even tasted better with the caramel. I finally got the whole cake of the original cheesecake for my birthday. It was beautiful, soft, creamy and slightly tart. The cheese was a little rich so I just gave everyone a smaller piece but good thing I had some left for the day after. THE CHEESECAKE WAS DEFINITELY OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you are thinking of getting cheesecake for your birthday or any kind of party/ celebration, go get it from Mister Artisan Cheesecake without a doubt. I would say that a small minus is they don't offer custom writing on the cake but you can always get a cake topper or there are different ways to go about it so I don't really mind.

Japanese Cheesecake. Do I even need to say more?! I'm such a sucker for desserts but when it comes to Japanese desserts, I get weak in the knees. I'm so glad to have been able to try Mister Artisan cheesecake because I have seriously been missing Japan. I don't know how to describe it, but Japan's milk is out of this world!! I believe I read on the Instagram that they use milk imported from Japan and an organic whipping cream to make this cheesecake taste sooo damn good! Their buttery graham cracker crust is also heavenly. Seriously, if I didn't gain weight so fast I'd probably eat the whole cake to my self in less than a couple of days haha. It's that good and addicting! While it's amazing by itself, adding their salted caramel as a topping is a no brainer. It's definitely worth the price tag IMO.

One word to describe their cheesecake: Amazing!! It's not super rich and dense like American Cheesecake, it's on the lighter side and super creamy! It's so hard to eat just one slice!!! The salted caramel is the perfect addition to the already perfect cheesecake! The price is on the higher side, but for this quality, it's worth it!!!

    Rachel A.

These cakes are incredible! Picked one up to share with friends and it was an absolute hit! My husband kept mentioning that it was creamy but not too creamy (so basically the perfect amount of creaminess). The caramel we got with it also complimented the cake perfectly!

    Alicia L.

The cheese cake was soooo light and fluffy! I could see the jiggle when taking the lid off. It had such a creamy but light texture. I'm normally not a huge fan of cheese cake since it's such a heavy dessert but this was beyond amazing and will be coming here for future celebrations.

The silkiest fluffy cheesecake I've ever had.
    Tiffany U.

I am a self-crowned Queen of Cakes, and I knight Mister Artisan Cheesecake my favorite cheesecake of all! The minimalist packaging had me impressed from the start, but it's the silky tofu-like texture that made it impossible to stop eating after the first bite. A perfect harmony of lightly-sweetened creamy mouse cheesecake with a crunchy graham cracker crust -- a guaranteed party in your mouth! I'm definitely opting for the salted caramel topping next time. They also offer free next day delivery in the Bay Area, and 20% off for Valentine's Day - two perfect reasons to give them a try right now. My only gripe is that this doesn't help me with my quarantine 15-- it's way too easy to place the order on their website, and way too hard to keep myself from devouring the entire cake!

    Simply beautiful and delicious

Cons: The Ube Cupcake Flan wasn't for me. The cupcake was dry, and the flan was bland and lacked flavor. I also ordered the Milo Milk Tea with boba, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste like Milo at all. Prices are on the higher side, so expect to spend a little more than you would at other dessert spots.
