I love cheesecake and I'm in such awe it's only now that I'm trying Mister Artisan's Cheesecake. I picked up an original flavor cheesecake and just know if you're picking it up in person, the address you're going to is going to be street parking so hopefully you'll get a good spot. Once you also enter, you'll be in a waiting area and hopefully someone's there to help you right away. I had a guy come down from the spiral staircase knowing we were there to pick up the cheesecake. Once I got home I was able to refrigerate it for the day after for Mothers day. When it came time to eating it when you make that first slice, the knife glided through so smoothly and easily. After taking the first bite we were all in love. It wasn't too sweet, wasn't too soft or too hard, in all our opinion it was more than what we could ask for. Ordered a matcha cheesecake for my wedding. The cake itself was delicious! Fluffy creamy cheesecake, pleasant matcha taste, great crust, perfect amount of sweetness (not too sweet, not too bitter). Expect the raw matcha powder on top was difficult to eat so we had to scrape it off. Also when dry matcha powder becomes moist in patches, it isn't too pleasant to look at which usually isn't a issue but this didn't look like a $90 cake. Visual aspect of food is important and I don't think the matcha powder on top is a necessary part of the cake. Pickups are inside an eye lash studio which I found a bit odd but the receptionist was very sweet (and I don't think she has anything to do with the cake company). When I arrived at 11:30AM (pick-up starts at 11AM) cakes did not arrive yet. This was my last errand before going to the courthouse so it was a bit stressful for a delay for an expensive cake company. I have a major sweet tooth and so I'm always on the look out for new patisseries/bakeries. I was really curious to see how these cheesecakes would taste. I've been let down before by baked Japanese cheesecake (it's basically sponge cake with barely any cheese) so I was hesitant to see that Mister Artisan makes Japanese rare cheesecake. My fears were completely unfounded. The texture of the cheesecake is divine: pillowy cheese with a perfectly paired graham cracker base. Once you start eating this cheesecake, you can't stop! I thought their salted caramel sauce was nice, but I honestly think that the cheesecake was great without it. I probably won't get it next time but I am glad that I tried it. It was certainly fun to pour it onto the cheesecake and make it look pretty! Taste aside, everything else about the Mister Artisan experience was splendid. The presentation is immaculate; I love the minimalist aesthetic and also the cake kind of glistens and jiggles like tofu hehe. Ordering on their website is super easy and I was able to take advantage of their free delivery service. They text you to confirm all your details, which makes the process super transparent and organized. When my mom first tasted the cheesecake, her jaw dropped. She promptly declared that it was the best cheesecake that she had ever had (mine too tbh) and asked me for the business' details so that she could tell her coworkers about it. I recently discovered Mr. Artisan from a friend and I am so glad I found them! They are a relatively new place serving 8 inch cheesecakes and also by the slice. First off, I just want to give a shout-out to the amazing customer service here. I was in SF for an overnight stay and ordered a slice for free next day delivery to the area. When I realized that the scheduled time for delivery wouldn't come in time before I left the city, I contacted Mister Artisan Cheesecake and they made arrangements for me to get same day delivery. This meant they went out of their way to start making a fresh cake (4-6 hours) and deliver outside their normal delivery hours. It really meant a lot to me how much they cared about getting my order to me. Now to the actual cheesecake -- it's unlike any I've tried before. It's incredibly light, silky and smooth: almost like eating a yogurt kind of texture with all the wonderful flavor of cheesecake and a crumbly base. I tried it with the caramel sauce, which is pretty sweet, but pairs extremely well with it. I also had some passion fruit curd leftover and I thought it tasted good with the cheesecake as well. Everyone I shared it with was trying to savor every last bite and scraping off the remainders on the plate! The best part is that after you finish, you don't feel as full and heavy as when you eat a typical style cheesecake. Lastly, based on the packaging that everything was delivered, it's clear that the company was very intentional in making sure the slices were preserved during transport. I am a huge fan of cheesecake so the moment I heard of Mister Artisan I knew it was going to be my birthday cake this year. To quality control before I got an 8 inch cake for a party 10, I got a slice of the original cheesecake for my boyfriend and I to try. It instantly became my favorite cheesecake and even tasted better with the caramel. I finally got the whole cake of the original cheesecake for my birthday. It was beautiful, soft, creamy and slightly tart. The cheese was a little rich so I just gave everyone a smaller piece but good thing I had some left for the day after. Japanese Cheesecake. Do I even need to say more?! I'm such a sucker for desserts but when it comes to Japanese desserts, I get weak in the knees. I'm so glad to have been able to try Mister Artisan cheesecake because I have seriously been missing Japan. I don't know how to describe it, but Japan's milk is out of this world!! I believe I read on the Instagram that they use milk imported from Japan and an organic whipping cream to make this cheesecake taste sooo damn good! I was looking for a really nice dessert to serve when I have my in-laws over. Upon searching on yelp, I found Mister Artisan Cheesecake. Read so many positive and great reviews so I decided to order from them. Ordered 2 weeks before my in-laws were coming over. I was given an option to pick up or have it delivered. Saw that they were located somewhere in Daly City and since I, too, live in Daly City, I scheduled for a delivery. Not long after processing an order for an original cheesecake and one salted caramel sauce, I received a confirmation email along with a text from someone named Nathan. I initially wanted to have a later delivery so that I can serve it fresher. However, Nathan told me the latest delivery time would be 5pm. I didn't want to cause unnecessary work for them so I agreed to have it delivered on Sept. 25, 2021 at 5pm. As the day approached, I made sure my husband was at home to retrieve the goodies. 5:11pm comes around and there was nothing. 5:15pm I texted Nathan asking for an ETA. No response. I decided to give Nathan a call at 5:30pm. No answer, left a voice message. We waited a little longer and gave Nathan another call at 5:48pm and left another voice mail. Didn't hear back. We had errands to run so we decided not to wait around any longer and just view our camera system to check periodically if anything was delivered. And before leaving, I sent them a message through their website portal letting them know what happened. Still, nothing. After our errands, it was already close to 6:30pm. My husband and I had this feeling that they were just going to take our money and not deliver the items ordered. So I called my c/c company and filed a claim to dispute a charge. No lie, 4 to 5 minutes after filing the dispute, I get a text from Mister Artisan's delivery team letting me know that my items are delayed and will be delivered around 7pm. This was not acceptable. 1.5 hours too late from promised time and not having a single response until I filed a claim really irritates me. Nathan never got back to me. I know he read my texts because that's how we corresponded our delivery date & time. He didn't even have the decency to apologize for the trouble it has caused me, rather, his delivery team apologized instead. Not cool. To Mister Artisan Cheesecake team: It's too bad that my in-laws and I couldn't try your cheesecake. And extremely shameful that you've lost a potential regular customer. If you're going to make your patrons spend close to $80 for a cheesecake, you need to be proactive at following through or at least have a some sort of communication open with your clients, especially if things are being delayed. Hope this experience with me has taught you to be more on top of your customer service skills because nobody wants to be kept in the dark for THAT LONG. I'm sure your cheesecake is quality-made, but none of that matters if the quality of your actions lack immensely. read more

For mother's day I surprised my mom with this beautiful heart strawberry cheesecake from Mister Artisan Cheesecake. I got the cheesecake with the flower balloons package. I picked up my cheesecake and flowers the day before mother's day. I was given a window time to pick up and I just showed up and told the receptionist my name and received my cheesecake, super quick and easy. Nathan was very sweet and responsive to my texts. He kept me updated about my pick up on the day of. Very good customer service. The cheesecake looked perfect. Beautiful pink color and smooth. It also came with a strawberry puree to drizzle on top. On mother's day I brought out the cheesecake and my mom was very surprised. She said it's super cute! For the taste, it's so good! You can really taste the strawberry! You can see bits of strawberry seeds in the cheesecake, so you know he used REAL strawberries! The flavor really came through. Half way through eating my slice I realized I forgot to add the puree! As a dessert connoisseur I was curious about what a Japanese style cheesecake would taste like. So I ordered one for my boyfriend's birthday since he loves cheesecake. It was delicious! I got their brown sugar cheesecake since I thought it would be closer in sweetness to a traditional cheesecake and I'm glad I did because the flavor was still surprisingly sweetly subtle. If I would have ordered the original it would have been too plain for us. Everyone commented on the light and creamy texture of this cake, and many got up to get seconds, so all in all it was a hit. A great friend of mine had raved about the cheesecake from Mister Artisan so I knew I had to try it. Luckily there are slice options in case you're like me and cannot commit to a whole cheesecake. I ordered two slices of the original and it's pretty much as everyone says, delicious and silky smooth. The texture is not the standard really dense and heavy like traditional cheesecakes, I would say the texture is more like a flan or silky tofu and with combination of the delicious crust... YUUMMMM. I don't really have a sweet tooth. More of a savory food type of person, but lemme tell you...this BLEW me away. The clean milk taste was really nostalgic and brought back memories of visiting my grandmother in Tokyo and her buying Japanese whole milk at the convenience store down the street. I rarely bother to review places, but when I do, it's because they're excellent. I ordered the matcha cheesecake for my girlfriend's birthday and it tasted very good with a creamy, smooth texture, not too sweet; it had a clean matcha taste that didn't overpower the cheesecake nor taste like grass as you often find when drinks or food utilize extremely low grade matcha. The crust was perfect- my girlfriend and I don't like it when the crust has the consistency nor taste of just graham cracker, and thankfully this possessed neither of those attributes.
