No line when we were there. Our order: Banana Brûlée Choux ($6.50): +Choux au Craquelin had a slight crisp to it. +Banana Chantilly cream on top was not too sweet and tasted like real banana. +Shell was stuffed with pastry cream with banana filling. -I wanted to try this flavor last time, but they ran out. This is the best cream puff I've had in the Bay Area so far. It was my first time trying the cream puffs at this location. Every time I come to Serramonte, I would pass by the store but that day I decided to drop by. The staff recognized it was my first time and offered me a sample. I appreciated that as I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and commit to the cream puffs here. The shell was perfect, not too hard and harmonized with the cream. I ended up ordering the Weekly Special, which was a Pandan cream at the time, the Tirami Choux(Tiramisu) and the Vanilla rum Canelé which was like a French rum cake mixed with the cream puff. My second time here and it is no longer a soft opening, and they have quite a few options to choose from.     This time,  I tried some new flavors they had: 1.  S'mores - I saved this for last because I had high expectations.  Sadly, this was my least favorite.  It was a dark chocolate mousse filling.  The topping looked cute, but that was about it. 2.  Nutella latte - The wafer on top was stale, to be expected.  When I cut it in the middle, I was surprised to see another wafer.  Sadly, this was stale as well.  The filling definitely tasted like a coffee latte.  I was a little disappointed,  I did not get a hint of nutella. 3.  Puff cake - The owner told me this had cake inside.   I think I stopped listening when he said it had cake inside. The seasonal offering was black sesame; however, was told that the cream wouldn't be ready for about another 40 minutes. Days ago, I accidentally stumbled upon this place after going to the wrong Uncle Tetsu location. Super happy I made that mistake! I never tried a choux pastry before, so I was happy this was my first time trying it! I came a little early before it opened, so I was lucky that there wasn't a line yet. The store is pretty small, there were no seating areas, but plenty of seats outside given it's in a small shopping center mall. The place is simplistic, but looks clean! I decided to visit this place since SF foodie influencers swear how good the choux is on Instagram. When I came in, I was mesmerized by the display of their choux, and I had a difficult time choosing which one to take home without spending over $50. He even offered a sample of the original choux and Canele Rum Cake. The Canele Rum Cake was like a mini pound cake, covered in rum and a bit crunchy on the outside, while the choux was creamy, like a custard filling inside. Therefore, I decided to get the Original Vanilla Choux, Ube Choux, and Berry Yogurt Choux to share with my parents. The cashier was kind to prepare the ube and vanilla one from scratch and pack the choux carefully. He even suggested keeping it at room temperature for three hours. I was super excited to try Le Le Choux after I saw the signs up!! I've been on the hunt for more choux pastry places around the peninsula and I was super stoked to see them open. The shop had a soft opening this weekend and I was surprised this place didn't have more folks lining up to try this place out. They have a limited menu so far and offered a few options this weekend. I saw Oreo, mango, yogurt (sold out) and regular. I ended up going with the Oreo and it was $6 per choux pastry. It wasn't busy when I ordered but I saw a few people walking around the mall with their boxes so they do seem to get a good amount of business? The worker at who helped me was very friendly and carefully used a scale to measure how much filling to put in the choux, going back a few times to make sure the amount was just right. I ordered an Original Choux and a Canele, which totaled at $10. A bit higher in price than I was expecting, but not too surprising as I'm used to canele prices in SF. We got a strawberry one to share and it was good! I really liked how then pink strawberry cream actually had a strawberry taste to it. I was so excited to see this new spot open up at Serramonte. I got the pandan coconut, strawberry, Oreo and Smores Choux. They were all super tasty and not too sweet at all. I loved the slight crunch from the outer layer and the creamy filling on the inside. The Strawberry Choux was a family fave, followed by Oreo.
