    Matcha mango sticky rice affogato
    Cally Y.

We went for the paragon x mister matcha party collab..but I was pretty disappointed. (don't come for me paragon yall ) mango ice cream was way too sour and absolutely overpowered everything. I'm glad the matcha was super rich though, but the matcha mango combo in this case didn't work well and with the sticky rice just tasted like sour sludge. $9.95

I got the Oreo s'mores ice cream bar. It's a very sweet guilty pleasure. I like the concept of ice cream sandwiches and using nitrogen gas. While the ice cream tasted good, texture wasn't as creamy as I'd hoped. I'd still come back to try more of the menu. Service wasn't the best. Employee wasn't helpful in explaining the difference between an ice cream sandwich and ice cream bar, partially because she's still learning English.

Mister has been on my list of spots to try for the longest time and I finally did it! I tried out the strawberry mint ice cream bar dipped in matcha chocolate! The matcha flavour was strong and paired so perfectly with the strawberry ice cream filling!

if you needed another reason to indulge in matcha, paragon tea room's "whisked away to japan" campaign might be it, every matcha purchase doubles as a raffle entry for a trip for two to japan and a tea field tour. i stopped by mister ice cream on robson at around 4:30 pm on a tuesday and there were a few people enjoying their ice cream inside and about three people in front of me. i was curious about their matcha collab with paragon, where they're serving up ceremonial grade matcha tea latte float with liquid nitrogen ice cream. the matcha is whisked to a deep, velvety green, layered over milk and ice cubes for a latte base, then crowned with a scoop of matcha ice cream so vivid it looks like it was lifted straight from a tea field. the ice cream, frozen to order with liquid nitrogen, has a dense, creamy texture and an intense grassy sweet flavour that melts slowly into the drink below. when i asked if there was milk in my drink, they were super kind to exchange it for me and remake it with oat milk, a kind and thoughtful gesture that made the experience even better. the contrast between the chilled latte and the rich, almost chewy ice cream made each sip a little different from the last. refreshing, a bit indulgent, and just theatrical enough to make you stop and watch, and maybe start daydreaming about sipping matcha in kyoto.

Mister Robson and the Paragon Tea Room in Pacific Centre have a collab until Aug 5 for their mango sticky rice matcha affogato. Each component was done PERFECTLY and the flavours actually worked well together. The mango liquid nitrogen ice cream was SO smooth and dense, the matcha was concentrated, vibrant, and not bitter, and the coconut sticky rice had enough chew yet was still smooth to meld the flavours together! The matcha is hot though, so you have to eat it before the ice cream melts into the dessert. It costed $9.95 which is pricey but a scoop at Mister is $8.50 anyway. I thought it was worth it as a special treat and to try the amazing collab!

Came for the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha affogatto colab with Paragon tea room. Came at 2pm when they opened and line was about 20 deep, but moved fast. Located on Robson. Has bench for seating. The mango ice cream was nice, good mix with the warm sticky rice, the matcha was very prominent which I enjoyed. $9.95. It was very tasty. I loved watching them make the ice cream.

Recently went to mister ice cream for their Paragon collab. I enjoyed the mango sticky rice and matcha affogato! The concentrated matcha definitely kept me awake and paired well with the sweet sticky rice and sweet/tart mango sorbet. Would come again!

Mister ice-cream has got to be doing something right - it just recently opened up location #3 on popular heavy foot traffic Robson St. It is a smaller shop with limited seating so expect to grab your ice-cream sandwich & be chomping down on it while walking down Robson St. Don't let it get too messy & ruin your attire. I've had the Crème Brûlée sandwich several times via their Yaletown location. Today I tried the Double Oreo Sandwich dipped in Matcha. Smooth like that - it went down #yummylicious. This is definitely a artisan type of ice-cream via it's flash frozen gas method. What do I mean by that you ask ... well Mister uses liquid nitrogen, making ice-cream more their rich, creamier & denser all leading to a unique ice-cream sandwich. The ice-cream is made with pure, all-natural ingredients = low in fat and sugar-free. It's definitely not cheap but a once in awhile treat for sure.

This modern establishment makes some tasty ice cream. I tried the strawberry mint sandwich, and as someone who thinks everything is too sweet, I loved every single bite. So much so, I came back after dinner for another. The ice cream is a perfect balance of mint to strawberry and the sandwich holds firm with every bite. It is so refreshing and definitely satisfied my craving for something sweet.

Stopped in for dessert one evening on a Wednesday at around 8:30. There was no wait but looked like we just beat the rush because a whole crowd came in right after us. Mister Artisan serves nitrogen ice cream, which is ice cream that freezes using nitrogen, and you may even see them making a few batches. I had the crème brulee in a cup, and hubby had Thai milk tea in a cone. Both flavors were good but the crème brulee was definitely the fave. They actually torch some sugar on top of the ice cream. The ice cream sandwiches looked good too. I can't say I taste the difference between nitrogen ice cream and regular ice cream, but it was good ice cream nonetheless. It wasn't too sweet, which was perfect for me.

It's literally dipped frozen banana. I thought there would be something more but nevermind. Their crème brûlée ice cream is good though. It's quite unique. While I'm not too convinced it's worth the price, it's a nice indulgence if you're looking to treat yourself.

The folks working there were kind and professional. They looked like wickedly good witches as they added natural ingredients to their metal cauldrons, and then added the liquid nitrogen, creating a rapidly rising fog. So, really, you are getting ice cream and a show! The concoctions emerged as super smooth, not too sweet, distinct fresh flavorful ice cream. It is a small shop with limited seating, so not likely to be a comfie sit down experience for you given how popular the place is, but it is easy food to take to go and a very nice area for a stroll. So, that's the scoop! ;)

We tried the ice cream sandwich, the creme brulee cup, and the s'mores bar. I would say everything was good, but probably not something we would get again. After a while it just got a little too sweet and the portion was a little big so we didn't finish most of it. The next time I go if I ever go again I would just get one thing and share it because a bite or two is probably all you need to satisfy your sweet craving.

Most likely because there's no seating. There's also a sign on the counter stating you can only sample 2 flavours during peak hours. There's usually 10 to 12 flavours to choose from; always something unique and interesting. They also have sundaes, ice cream sandwiches and doughnuts on the menu. - Mango raspberry swirl and London fog ($7.00 double) - waffle cone is included and it was better than expected. The ice cream itself tastes a bit denser but still has a creamy satisfying texture. The London fog was fantastic! The mango raspberry was more mango than raspberry but also quite good. - London fog ($5.00 single) - came back on a Monday and they only had four flavours that day. We went with the London fog; just as good as the last time. - Dark chocolate and black sesame with honey ($7.00 double) - the dark chocolate tasted like a fudgesicle but better. Not too sweet and hefty; it was so heavy it almost fell off the cone! The black sesame was delicious. Not quite like the ones we had in Japan but tasty and flavourful. I'll be back again and again!
