Good service and food. The portions are small so one dish won't be enough. Too pricey for the portions. The layout is open and smaller, so it was noisy, if that's a factor for you. Beware, this place charges a 20% service fee (not counted as a tip) regardless of what you order. They do make this clear on their menu, but it's worth noting in case anyone isn't aware. This quickly adds to a fairly large bill. After tip and service fee, 3 tacos and a non-alcoholic drink were almost 40 dollars! Not sure I will be back! I can have original tacos way cheaper at El Gallitos.

Our son took us to this little neighborhood place in the RINO DISTRICT in Denver. Unassuming from the outside but inside is a cute, intimate environment with friendly servers and a simple but creative menu. Their speciality is their taco menu of which we sampled the pork mojo with plantains, 2 house hard tacos and shared a spicy Caesar salad. Oh and we started with fresh guacamole and a large ceviche. All were outstanding and totally repeatable! The only hiccup for us is that due to the intimate size, it gets pretty noisy. Guess that's better than dead quiet with no customers We'll be back!

I wanna love this place because it's so dang cute but it always ends up a little underwhelming. I've given it a few tries now. Getting in is always chaotic. Service is nice and attentive at first and then they kind of just abandon you entirely at one point in the meal. Margaritas are pretty good. I had the cantaloupe one recently and would recommend! I enjoy their salads. Spicy Bear Caesar with Birria was remarkable. Guacamole was a hit. The potatoes were overcooked. The tacos were just okay. Overall, I think this is a nice spot to grab a drink and an appetizer. I'm not sold on having a meal here yet. They get an extra star because I really appreciate the amount of diversity I've seen on their team over the years. This space feels very inclusive. I think I'll give them another shot and report back.

This is one of their non alcoholic drinks. It was good. Bigger than the $15 marg my friend ordered. Pineapple Chili Fresca

I had heard good things and was planning to possibly check it out for my birthday this week. I looked at reviews and see an additional 20% service charge added to the bill BEFORE tip. Dude, pay your people a decent wage. Raise your prices if you have to, but nobody likes a sneaky surprise. It feels dishonest, and no one likes dishonesty. We ended up going. The food was really good and my server, Rebel was amazing! No we didn't like the 20% service charge. Will it keep us from going back? Maybe. The $15 matgs in the tiniest glasses also a factor. $7.50 a taco also a little steep.

I'll start with the good things... The smoked potatoes were good but needed salt. They have good homemade corn tortillas that do not fall apart. My drink was pretty good too, pineapple, rum tiki inspired drink. The service is not great and not very friendly. We walked in & the host was on the phone, the bartender wasn't making eye contact so I walked up to the bar to ask if we could seat ourselves... still no eye contact. My husband ended up going back to the host to ask if we could sit at the bar. I tried to make small talk with the bartender but she wasn't really having it. I got the curry Maui tacos w/ corn tortillas & my husband go the birra tacos. The birra tacos were good, very flavorful. The mahi tacos were very mild in flavor, my husband couldn't tell what flavor they were. They also had black flakes from the grill stuck to them which were the texture of egg shells, yuk. From the outside the place looks super small but it's pretty spacious on the inside. I mentioned this to the bartender who responded, yep, and we have outdoor seating so we can seat a lot, and in her head saying don't talk to me. Lol. Anyways, there's a lot of good places to eat that have good service in Denver, I would prefer going to those places than come back here.

I thought this was ok. We went for happy hour. Our waitress was not super friendly and the first thing she told me was there is a 20% service fee. I guess that is good to know up front. Anyway, my Paloma was ok (after having one a Diablo pozole the day before, it's not a fair comparison because the is the best in the state) I had the happy hour taco and the green chile fries, I'm a native so love a good green chile, it was ok. The taco was different with the wonton shell but the inside was not flavorful. My niece has the birria tacos and she said it was good. Her friend had the quesadillas of the kids menu (lots of allergies so not a lot of regular menu options for her) and it was a generous portion, we were all surprised it was a kids portion, and she said it was good as well, they are college students so... lol. I won't be rushing back anytime soon.

The vibe here is pretty interesting! It's got the tropical decor that's a blend of Mexican and Southeast Asian! Even some of the ingredients in the dishes we tried (case in point: dried papaya in my salad, a pleasant surprise both in taste and texture!) The way the tacos are served was also different: all the a-la-cart tacos are placed on a big tray and all come out at once. I really enjoyed our Brussels Sprouts Salad, it is huge and a lot of work to eat! But I enjoyed the subtle flavors from the shredded sprouts, dried papaya, and almond slices all coming together. The dressing was not overpowering which allowed me to taste each ingredient. There's a ton of chewing so consider sharing this salad. Their signature dish: the coconut rice, feels so very fusioned. I had my doubts but it ended up tasting pretty good. After having these two, I really only have room for about one taco. Whichever it was that I had was not memorable: it wasn't GREAT but wasn't terrible either. That's why I don't remember much about it. Service was definitely friendly; they want you to feel at home. And the servers are very on top of things such as allergies, etc. We were well taken care of at Mister Oso.

Came here for restaurant week 2026 and it was just as good as I remembered ! 35$ was a steal! The app was just okay-- so I got guacamole and it was perfect. The churros and ice cream are to die for I get them every time. I got a seat at the bar and it was perfect. Solid food and did not disappoint !

The food was delicious! I loved the lamb tacos and ate the whole thing. My guy is a big fan of fish tacos and enjoyed the Mahi Mahi. We both got the house margarita to top everything off. The service was great and we got our food quick. Nice little restaurant. The only complaint is the seating. There was a big party next to us that didn't provide for much elbow room.

Went here for happy hour after work with a friend and it was AWESOME! We went in time for happy hour - I got the passionfruit pisco sour (transported me back to Chile) and friend got the margarita. Drinks were delish! We also got the mini guac on HH and each got a mini taco. For mains - we got the watermelon ceviche and mojo tacos. The ceviche was AMAZING - so fresh and delicious. I don't typically have salmon ceviche but it had just the right amount of heat and acid, would love to come back just for this. The mojo tacos were also good - loved the sweet plantains that came with them. The staff was super nice and very attentive. We ate inside because it was so hot but would love to check out their patio another time!

This is a nice restaurant for some really yummy Peruvian food. The decor is inviting with lots of colors. Our waiter was nice. We got the Al pastor tacos, empanadas, and hard tacos. We both got the coconut horchatas for drinks. Everything was yummy but we both preferred the al pastor tacos as our fav. We also got he churros with mint ice cream for dessert. The churros were light but sweet. Good food for a decent price. Although parking in this neighborhood can be hard to find.

Lamb al Pastor bottom and Chicken Tinga top

Came in around 1:30p on a Saturday and wasn't super busy. We sat on patio which was nice. First a waiter stopped asked us if we had ever been in and I put in for Tuna Aguachile and a kids order for my son. He kind of immediately ran off and we didn't get to put a drink order in. When our food came I asked a runner to ask a waiter to come order drinks. They came back and took them and never came back. After eating our app for a bit and realized no one ever took our food order. At this point we can't find the original guy and asks another person if we can put in food. So now this girl comes and puts order in. She made it seem like the lamb wasn't big enough for 2 and so we ordered chicken tinga and potatoes. The meal came with 6 small Tortillas. The flour seemed fresh and made in house. The meats are plenty to share just 1 meat. The lamb was great. It was Al Pastor style with pineapple and onion. The Tinga I didn't like it had some heat and I've had others better elsewhere. The food was good. I wish service wasn't so confusing and better. Drinks were good. Not sure I'll be back.

I started going when they were still operating out of their food truck, and honestly, watching them grow into a permanent restaurant feels like seeing your favorite underground band finally make it big... except instead of music, they're dropping cheesy taco masterpieces. The queso tacos are absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way: crispy, cheesy, messy, and worth ruining at least one shirt over. And the consome? That stuff could heal emotional damage. It's rich, comforting, and somehow makes you immediately want "just one more taco" even when you're already full. Every time I'm in Denver, this place is mandatory. Not optional. Not "if there's time." Mandatory. My vacation itinerary basically starts with flights and ends with tacos. So happy to see Kike's getting the recognition they deserve. If you haven't been yet, prepare to have your standards permanently ruined for all other tacos.

This long skinny establishment - not necessarily super spacious - can offer you a decent food that you can count on. You don't need anybody to go with - you can be a solo diner because this place is not intimidating in any way. It's that casual. I think this establishment was born in the old Stoney's Cantina space. Whether the place was huge enough to create two businesses (and thus La Loteria occupied half of it), I sort of saw some "remnant" of Stoney's was the impression that I got. Whatever I am correct on this or not, this casual Mex place is all about vivid pastel colored interior where red is mostly dominant. Intriguing murals on walls 360 degrees are quite impressive. Once you are inside, a huge arrow to direct the people to order to their left at the ordering counter. That ordering counter extends all the way where you'll see some bar seatings. The right side of it mostly has tables for small to large groups of people. Like I said, this place is not huge but at the same time, people don't stay long to dine; the turnover is quite quick in a way. The restaurant also gets many walk-in to-go order placers as well. I got me the Aztec Bowl for to-go. This dish is only $11 (as of early May of 2025) and is a vegetarian item. I consume a lot of vegetarian diet and yet my instinct loudly spoke to me to add some protein to it. Whether or not you can keep it non-meat to stay in the vegetarian zone, adding some protein to this dish is a must as if it was by itself, it would be a bit boring because it only has some greens and some slices of avocado. As the add-on, I got me the carne asada ($5.00) that comes with rice. Not bad.. I didn't eat it right after I got home; I meant to get it to eat it the next day which I did (this AM.) It was still fresh where nothing tasted stale. The carne asada was well-cooked with seasonings. In other words, it wasn't salty at all but held good flavors. Now on the receipt, I saw a charge of what's called "takeout service fee" which is 18%. I kind of assumed that this was mostly the mandatory gratuity. At the end of the card transaction, I remember that the different gratuity percentages were listed on the machine and they were quite small because of this fee. It'll be up to you to add more if you wish. Some people might complaint about this mandated system and yet I kind of understand that businesses nowadays must survive by navigating through the rising cost of living. As we have seen our favorite businesses disappear in the recent years, I am here to support them by whatever I could within my power. Whereas the parking on Broadway is a pain in the neck at any time of the day, if I think of a casual Mexican dining in the Baker neighborhood next time, I may stop by here. It's a good establishment to know.

I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt.
