I walk in looking shaggy and walk out confident every time. The economical time spent with her is always entertaining, and the salon's ambience clean, homespun, lighthearted, and never intimidating. I've had my share of the showy so-called "glamor" parlors, and this one is such a welcome change from the overpriced "all glitz no substance" spots I've tried in my global travels over the years. From what I have seen, all the stylists (pictured below, Misty seen front and center) have fiercely faithful followings, from young cosmo types to stylishly mature elders, so I would confidently wager you could not go wrong booking a date with any of them! Noelle has the sweetest vibe and does amazing color! She did an AMAZING job on my highlights. I literally hadn't been to a salon in 10 years because I have such long, thick, healthy hair and most can't handle 2+ ft of hair without frying it. I was looking for a reasonably priced place today. I went to like five or six places. I had gone in and it was a bit pricey so I took a card anyway and left. After walking down the street a bit one of the girls (Noelle) caught up to me and said she had misunderstood what I had asked for and they could do what I wanted for $30. The misunderstanding was my fault, but I was really appreciative. Noelle did my hair and she was a doll. I love love how she did my bangs, a bit long though nobody ever believes me when I say do them a bit above my eyebrows because they grow crazy fast. I do get it though, she has to be careful because people can say something but go off on the poor hair dresser. Anyway, I really liked the ambiance. BEKAH! Omg girl how! So for the first time in years I'm walking out of the salon with the look 100% the way I wanted it. I'm growing out my natural hair color and Bekah honestly just put some amazing highlights and toned the rest of my hair. The cut is beautiful, the color is beautiful, and she honestly just made my natural hair color stand OUT. I seriously feel so amazing, my hair was so unhealthy and now it feels incredible. Love this little salon hidden in old town Camarillo. Nicky has been doing my hair regularly now for about 3 years and she is an absolute doll. The experiences that I have had with Nicky include brown/ blonde ombre, full blonde weave both dirty blonde and platinum and every shade of blonde in between, style for graduations/ weddings as well as cuts and bi-monthly trims. Nicky has nailed the blonde on me every time, Bravo! Nicky has also educated me so much in the last three years about proper hair care and maintenance. My hair is a million times healthier with her TLC. She typically only works nights and weekends so make an appointment 4-6 weeks in advance if you can! Prices are incredibly reasonable! The other ladies at this salon are wonderful as well. I get to watch Becca and Lisa a lot while I'm at the salon and all of these ladies do a wonderful job. I have to say that I am disappointed with my experience here. I was a repeat customer for many years and would have continued to be for life. At first, everything was great. Bekah did an excellent job with both color and my keratin treatment. She used to be meticulous and coated the hair thoroughly with the Keratin treatment and only charged me $150 for the trim, color, and keratin treatment. I always gave at least a $25 tip. But one day, she just basically slapped it on my hair and told me that her price had gone up to $175. The next time I tried to make an appointment, she told me that her price was now $200. When I told her that she had already raised her price the last time I was in and asked her what was going on, she told me that she was allergic to the Keratin treatment solution and didn't want to do it anymore. When I asked if the other women in the salon could do it, she said that they charge way more than she does for a Keratin treatment. I guess I should have known that she objected to the fumes when she put on a gas mask to do my hair. I am just very disappointed that things happened the way they did. I feel it was disrespectful to a loyal customer. Now I just buy the product on Amazon and put it on myself. I guess I should be grateful that I saved $1000 a year by no longer coming here. read more
