Our smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector near the home office began chirping. We did everything we…read moreknew to do, but the chirping would stop for a day and start back up again. We found out through the web that it was at end-of-life and needed to be replaced. The problem was that the detector was wired in and neither my husband nor me are electricians. I found Jackson Electric and decided to call them. Mr. Steven Jackson was very professional and let me know that he would contact me the next day to schedule an appointment. Around lunchtime the next day, I got a call from Michael, who said they would be coming in 30 minutes. I had a training to do, but made adjustments so he could come. Three guys with masks arrived to find out what needed to be done. When I showed them what was going on and showed them that I had the replacement, they did the work in about 5 minutes. The workers were very professional, cleaned up after themselves, and the price was very reasonable and I was pleased the chirping had stopped. Unfortunately, about 3 days later, our other smoke alarm/carbon monoxide detector began chirping. I called Jackson Electric again because of the great service we received the first time. He told me that he would contact me to schedule an appointment. The next day, Michael called and said, "We are in your area - can we come now?" Unfortunately, I was unavailable. Michael said, "No problem. Please call Mr. Jackson to reschedule." I tried several times to get in touch with Mr. Jackson to reschedule with no luck. I left a voicemail with times that I was available to help with his scheduling. I left text messages to try and reschedule. My husband called him a few times to try and reschedule. We did not receive a response. My husband ended up calling someone else. I will say that our first experience with Jackson Electric was great. Not sure what happened the second time, though.

They came out to my mother's home, were respectful of her property and her privacy, inspected the work to be done, gave me a prompt estimate of the costs (and were willing to discuss the cost with me on the phone as well). Great communication and patience through my many questions prior to actually starting the work. Fair pricing and willingness to explore options, to solve problems in multiple ways in order to maximize value for the customer. Once we nailed down the best plan to proceed, the team got right to work, and the work was performed quickly and very satisfactorily. I called the next day and their phone system used an automated AI response initially, but I was then rerouted and able to speak with a service person. They dispatched a technician, diagnosed my issues, sent quote estimates to my email, followed up with a confirmed booking, and came out within the next day with the proper part to service my broken system. Before the serviceman arrived, I received text updates with pictures of who to expect and with their estimated time of arrival. The communication, timeliness and efficient service provided by Dunn was exceptional. They charge a standard assessment fee which is factored into the overall cost of service. I would recommend Dunn if you're local to their service areas.

Madden came out when they said, tore out the old fiberglass tub and surround, pointed out the new tub we bought was damaged before starting work so I had time to exchange it. Great! They installed the new tub, faucets, raised the shower head, and helped install the insulation on the outside wall. Great! Chris is a nice guy and easy to work with. They were not great at sweeping up after, and wiping out the tub but that isn't a big deal. I started cleaning up the bathroom today and discovered the hot water in the tub isn't working. So they are coming back out today to fix it. Great!

I called Madden's office and this nice lady said she could get someone out that afternoon. As promised, Chris showed up and after me explaining the history got his machine out and had my sink unclogged in less than a half hour. After hooking everything up he checked that everything was draining well, clean up the area and presented me with a bill that was less than the other people told me it would cost. I will be having more plumbing done in the summer and I will be calling Madden.
