Pretty disappointed. Called Mr Sparky for a number of upgrades to my home electrical. They came right away to start the job in early April. FIVE MONTHS LATER...still not complete. I spent $10k for a new panel, some additional wiring and outlets, and surge protection. Still waiting on the interlock switch. Don't wait for them to call you. You have to call them to get the job finished. I've probably made over 20 phone calls to find out when the job will be done. Still waiting.... And you may just ask them to please not put any holes in your walls. For $10,000 I expected better customer service, follow through, and response when I call. Royally messed up doing some wiring which is slowly being discovered. We had a technician install a bathroom light that was daisychained. I am pretty handy but couldn't figure it out so trusted a professional to get it right. Approximately 2 years later I found several outlets that no longer work in a room that must of been connected. I fixed the issue and my meter suggested a loose neutral also. Now, here we are about 9 years later, and I discovered the technician also mixed up the ground and hot wires he installed in the bathroom as I had trouble putting in a new bathroom LED remote controlled light. reached out to mister sparky and was able to get an appointment right away. we just moved into our 40 year old condo and needed to update the light fixtures in the kitchen...we replaced fluorescent lights with LED lights. we had 2 outlets installed in our lanai and added a light ceiling fan. we also had a gfi outlet installed in our bathroom. I asked how much to come out to look at why my bathroom outlets weren't working. They said they would waive the $59 fee to come out. Great...but did not mention that there would be a $375 fee to tell us what is wrong then potentially more money if the fix is nothing simple. Tried for hours to schedule an appointment for a Saturday and received confirmation by text and email that the appointment would be then. 12 hours later I receive texts and emails saying the appointment is now all of a sudden on Tuesday - not what I scheduled at all. the electrician arrived on time , listened to what need done, provided an explanation and quote. the did a solid job overall. my only compliant is the clean up was poor (lots of dust and small debris) and some small scratches on a bathtub and sink. still recommend Mr.Sparky and most likely will use them again. I chose this company to complete simple commercial electrical repair, assessment for switch replacement, sourcing common switch and installation. 2 weeks and still not complete. Can't reach anyone other than their call center and they explain that I will receive a call back from Randy?? Never called back. Field tech seemed on top of things however they are limited in flexibility to source materials etc. they are insulated by an off site call center and you will not speak with any Mr Sparky direct employees. So after 3 missed/ post poned appointments they came and quoted my portable generator install. After they quoted the install for $1000.00 ( I signed PO) they came back and raised price to $5900. They quoted $8900 for the Generac generator which I could have bought anywhere for $3000 delivered. ( I bought it from HomeDepot with one year free finance) I now have a Generac dealer coming to install everything with Permit for $1000. Don't call these guys in less you enjoy being ripped off. read more
