My surgery isn't until 11/3, but their billing department has been a nightmare. I'm seriously considering canceling and changing providers. Prior to choosing a surgeon for my bilateral salpingectomy, I made sure my BCBSTX insurance covered it, which they do at 100% with no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible because it is classified as "female sterilization" and paid out as "ACA preventive" if properly coded with in-network providers. I rechecked this with BCBSTX every step of the way multiple times. I then received an estimate from Stony Point on 10/17 asking me to pay almost $3K (my deductible + 20% coinsurance) upfront. I immediately called to ask what was going on. I was directed to call Teneille in billing, which I did the same day. I was sent to her voicemail where I left my name, number, and a brief explanation. After that, I reconfirmed benefits with BCBSTX. I never received a callback from Teneille. I called on 10/24 and got through to Teneille. I attempted to explain the issue, but felt completely dismissed. I was told they'd contact BCBSTX before being hung up on. I called BCBSTX to reconfirm my benefits yet again and ask for advice on how to proceed. BCBSTX told me to advise Stony Point that when they call the Provider Line to give them both the CPT and ICD-10 codes and to make sure it is coded as "female sterilization" rather than "general surgery." BCBSTX also gave me a reference number for my call and said that Stony Point could give the Provider Line that number and have all the info about my benefits pulled up that way to reduce any confusion. So, I called Stony Point back to advise them of this. While attempting to explain this and give them my reference number, Stony Point told me they had just called the Provider Line, received a different answer, and that their estimate was still correct. They gave me a reference number they'd been given and told me I'd have to call the Provider Line to get a correct answer about my benefits. At this point, Stony Point was closing for the day. The next morning (10/25), I called BCBSTX again to reconfirm my benefits and was connected with a Patient Advocate named Lee. She reconfirmed that I am 100% covered with no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible for the surgeon, facility, and anesthesia bills for this procedure with my providers. She could see from the documentation from Stony Point's previous call with the Provider Line that they had done it incorrectly. Stony Point was not making sure it was being properly coded as "female sterilization" instead of "general surgery." She also told me it was wrong for Stony Point to say I needed to contact the Provider Line to get the correct answer about my benefits since that isn't possible for me to do as a patient. Lee then called both Virginia Women's Center (my surgeon's office) and Stony Point Surgery Center billing departments, while I was on hold. She spoke with Cheryl (?) at Stony Point and broke down exactly what the issue was, why they received an incorrect answer previously, how to correct it, and explained that I am covered 100% and owe no copay, no coinsurance, and no deductible. Lee also had Stony Point speak with their Provider Line to confirm my benefits and proper coding through them as well. Lee documented everything and gave me the reference numbers for both the call with her and Stony Point's call with the Provider Line. She also suggested that I consider changing providers since she'd never experienced this level of stubbornness previously and that she was concerned they would continue to try to improperly code this. As of 10/26, Stony Point is still clinging to their improperly coded estimate and demanding my payment upfront. I'm planning to give them a call tomorrow in one last attempt to sort this out, but I decided to write this review as a warning to others now because no one should have to experience this.

Her personality and bedside manner are lacking and need work, and the level of care I received from her was not thorough or even adequate . . . Twice I have been misdiagnosed and treated poorly (or not at all!) for conditions insufficiently addressed or even ignored, and on several occasions I have felt that the quality of care rendered that day was missing something . . . Given everything that's happened recently, I was a little nervous, but we are so glad that we chose to deliver here. I was unexpectedly hospitalized with pre eclampsia at 36 weeks. The doctors and staff kept me overnight for monitoring and decided I needed to have my baby. They made sure they educated us on all of our options and step by step what the plan was. My delivery was so much less stressful than when I had my son, even though it wasn't exactly an easy birth. All of the nurse staff and NICU nurses/doctor were in the room ready in case they were needed, which they were. A nurse stood by my bed holding my hand calmly explaining what was going on with baby so I wouldn't panic. The neonatologist has my partner call me on the phone to discuss what exactly was going on instead of trying to have a sleep deprived person try and relay everything. They also got us set up with their app to monitor our baby 24/7 in the NICU. The nurses did everything they could to get vitals on me overnight but not wake me. They regularly checked in to make sure I didn't need anything. If the camera for baby was moved or turned off because of diagnostics, the nurses called the NICU to have it put back on. Every place has a few bad eggs but our experience here overall has been so amazing in so many ways. Diane in the NICU has been the most comforting nurse to work with while our baby girl is staying there. Our first night hospitalized, Meagan made sure to check on us regularly, keep us informed on everything and answer any questions, and just good off with us some to help us relax. If you're on the fence about this hospital for delivery, you can't go wrong. We are forever grateful for everything and everyone here during this experience. Update: My daughter was in the NICU for almost 3 weeks. They had just opened back up so we were slightly nervous. They have an app for you to watch your baby when you can't be there. The first neonatologist we met was great at explaining what was going on and giving a clear treatment plan with the goals she needed to meet. After a few days we had a different neonatologist who also was great and even said we could be a little more forgiving with her goals so we thought maybe we'd get her out sooner. We had to call up there a few times to ask them to turn on the camera as it had been off for hours. After repeatedly having issues and being upset after a meeting with the occupational therapist we were assigned, I spoke to the director of the NICU. She was so understanding and met with me every day or two for a week to check in. We came in one day and had a third neonatologist. Their plan was different than the other two and my fiance and I just got very frustrated. The doctor talked to us to see what the frustration was and what they could do to help. Throughout her stay there were a few miscommunications, however overall we were very happy with their care for her. Leanne was her nurse for the last few days and she was fantastic! She left us little notes on her swaddle to let us know how she had done at her most recent feeding/check in. When she walked us out to the car she gave us a hug and told us to keep them updated. Except for one nurse that answered the phone when we called once, everyone we met in here was very caring. I changed my review to 4 stars only because it was very frustrating having the camera off a lot or it wasn't working.

Not only was this not done, and we had to call several times to get the RX, but the WRONG AMOUNT of pills was called in. He only got enough for two weeks, when his trip is for 3 months (clearly recorded on the paperwork). Long story short, we spent several days of trying to get someone at PassportHealth to call in more pills; we left many messages and actually talked to someone a couple of times on the phone, as did our pharmacist. The prescription was NEVER called in. My son had to leave without the proper amount and he will have to try to remedy this on his own in a foreign country. The clinic itself didn't seem to be staffed--there was only a nurse who arrived late to the office for our appointment. Check out the place before you decide to go.

It's tedious when you're not feeling well. The lady at the front was kind to others but not particularly nice to me. The clinician who saw me was eager to diagnose my issue as a virus that needed to run its course rather than listening to me when I advocated for myself since I knew what was wrong. It's super close to me but I'll hesitate to return in the future. I'd rather go to Patient First for a slightly better experience.

Everyone was nice. They did a cultural in house and called in a prescription that I picked up and hour later. Easy and efficient and pleasant - could not have asked for an easier time when finding yourself ill at a hotel in an unfamiliar city.
