He responded quickly, worked efficiently, and completed the repair much faster than I expected without sacrificing quality. What impressed me most was his professionalism and attention to detail. After the work was completed, the entire area was cleaned up so well that you could hardly tell any excavation had been done. The workmanship was excellent and he kept me informed throughout the entire process. If you're looking for a reliable, honest plumber who takes pride in his work, Joe is the person to call. I couldn't be happier with the service and would absolutely use him again.

I was told that there was another hose that needed to be replaced because it wasn't up to code. I was charged $700 for the replacement hose. The problem was not resolved, and when I called back to inform the plumber that the washing machine was still leaking, I was told to call an appliance tech because they don't repair washing machines. The plumber refused to refund me my money after I had explained that the leak had not been fixed, and the job was not resolved. Now I have to spend more money to have an appliance tech come out and assess the problem, and pay for any repairs. I was taken advantage of, for sure!

Our first experience with Plumbums was excellent - we had an emergency issue, Jim was able to come…read moreout within an hour or two and get it fixed, and he was on his way. When our pipes froze during the big storm this January (thankfully, without water in them), we decided to hire Plumbums again. That didn't go as well. Quality of work: The fixes Jim suggested (a series of individual junction fixes) seemed reasonable for the repairs needed, but in some cases replacing whole sections would have been more time- and cost-efficient (according to other plumbers we've had in our home who have seen the work done). And we needed four return visits within our first three days living in the house to address issues that had not been resolved or that popped up as soon as we turned systems on. One problem (heat running constantly on our first floor, making the house over 80 degrees in the winter) was unresolved until I researched possible causes myself and communicated that to Jim, who sent out one of his guys to implement the fix. Professionalism: We were frustrated by the lack of care shown toward our property. Jim's guys left plumbing debris (not just the stuff our homeowner's insurance requested, but just straight-up trash), food trash, and drywall dust in our basement and living areas. This means that the first thing we had to do after driving 3,200 miles to move in was clean up after them. Drywall was removed roughly in several locations, and although patching was not included in the estimate, the cuts themselves appeared unnecessarily sloppy (and our new plumber neatly cuts and replaces drywall as a matter of course, leaving the mudding to us, which is fine). Plumbums did work well with our insurance company to get our claim handled, and ultimately we have working plumbing. But our experience wasn't great.

The plumbers took one look and thought how we gonna get this thing out of here. They called the owner of the company "DJ" who came to my home and removed cabinets, flooring and the fridge to allow the guys room to swap it out. Thank you very much WD Dickenson for going above and beyond to get the job done, you guys are amazing. Top notch company if anyone is in need of a plumber.

In its place is a beautiful walk-in-shower, new upper & lower cabinets where the old shower was, new vanity, new lighting, beautiful porcelain floor tile, bidet seat for the toilet, they even stripped the popcorn ceiling and repainted it. The bathroom took time - with snow storms causing a minor delay, a long freeze requiring their plumbers to address other customer's emergencies - but it is gorgeous! We love our new master bathroom. Additionally, every carpenter, plumber & electrician that worked on the bathroom were gentlemen - friendly, accommodating and precise in their responsibilities and work done. We would recommend WB Dickenson in a heart beat.

Service Relief

This experience with Service Relief did not go well and still isn't fully resolved…read more First I called several weeks ago to schedule what I thought would be a minor job. No call back after a full week. I finally schedule service and the first service tech is unable to resolve the issue and says he will need to order parts. I get a date when they will come back and end up with a service tech that replaces the faucet and shower head and leaves me with a dripping shower faucet and a hole in the wall that I tells me I need to get an access cover with no real details. He also tells me that since they can't replace the fixtures in my bathroom sink I need to purchase a new vanity and faucet. Mind you over the several days that it took to come out the second time these items could have been ordered and at my home or ready for pick up. On the scheduled day of the third appointment I get a call as I am leaving work to get home for the service that indicates the service tech has an emergency and can't make it. On the fourth day I get several calls from scheduling about where to pick up the items I ordered and then finally requesting the order number. Two techs arrive to install the new vanity and faucet. During the install they started talking about me or another customer while in my bathroom. After all this they try to convince me that my shower faucet isn't leaking and then say if it starts to they can come back. In addition after they left I found two of my towels balled up on the floor wet and with debris in them. They never asked to use these towels for this purpose. My shower faucet is still dripping. At least I have new fixtures and a new vanity.

The last call they cancelled the night before so I ended up calling another company. I called this company four times to ask for compensation for this and all I get is that they will call me back and they never did.

On July 9 2026, I had a terrible experience with Alvin's Plumbing and Heating LLC. Before scheduling, I called to ask about their diagnostic fees to estimate a under-sink filter leak repair. A representative told me it would cost $60 to send a technician, who would then give me a price estimate. However, when the technicians arrived, they never mentioned a hidden baseline fee of $195 just to touch the plumbing. One technician immediately began working without providing an upfront estimate. He cut one inch of a small 1/4" plastic pipe, which fixed the leak. When I asked for the total, he revealed the $195 charge. I was outraged by this hidden fee. Since he was already there, I asked about replacing a bathroom faucet. I explicitly asked if the $195 would be separate or if it would roll into the cost of the new job. They told me, "No, the $195 is going to roll into the cost of the additional job." The office quoted a total price of $225. I agreed to this. After the work was done, they wanted charge my credit card $420 ($195 + $225), completely going back on their word. I requested the manager's number to dispute this overcharge, but the owner refused to honor the agreed upon price. Despite multiple phone calls, I have not received a refund. This company uses misleading sales tactics, hides fees until the work is done, and takes advantage of old citizens. I am submitting an official complaint with Better Business Bureau
