I found Mitzy on a random hunt to get my hair lightened one day. Luckily she turned out to be one of the nicest and most talented hair stylist I've ever encountered. She's very detailed in her work and will listen to you every step of the way. I came in with a horrible mess of half bleached hair and wanted a ashy blonde balayage. She's the only one who will touch my hair from now on.

Her relationship with her clients are excellent. The whole time I was in the chair she always took the time to make sure I was doing fine and if I was either hungry or thirsty (this is key because we didn't 12hrs together!). On top of that, I really appreciated the communication she kept with me, whether it was just a nice talk about random topics or the explanation on why she's doing certain things. This to me shows that she cares about me and making me understand what is going on and also it really highlighted her passion for the field that she is in. She is extremely knowledgeable in what she did and practice daily, and for her to explain things for me to understand really shows it. To really wrap up how amazing she is, not only as a person, but her integrity as an hair Stylist, if she feel that the initial outcome did not come out right, she will be honest and talk you through what happened and how she will be able to fix it. The reason why it took 12 hrs for my hair was because the initial color I had chosen did not come out as expected. So she worked with me and we found a compromise on what is the next best course of option. And I have to say, trusting her was the best decision, because the end result of my hair was absolutely stunning and I was in love! I will absolutely go back to her for a touch up or a new look and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone that wants a new look and who wants it done right.

I first started going to Mitzy in 2019 and I have been going to her for all my hair needs ever since. I got my hair curled and styled for a formal wedding. I found a picture online of a vintage look that would match my dress, but Mytzequy really went above and beyond and made it look better than I ever envisioned! My hair stayed intact the entire night and still looked good the next morning. You definitely have to get your hair done by her - nothing but the best! I came in only a few hours before work and needed a complete transformation from blue to caramel-brown balayage. I knew it would require a few hours, but underestimated how much work I was requesting. Mitzy absolutely knocked it out of the park. I thought she would be able to simply dye my hair back to brown, but she went above and beyond to get rid of layered colors underneath. The results were even better than the reference pictures I liked, and she did within a few hours - getting me to work on time. It turned out a beautiful honey brown and made me feel gorgeous. I was first unsure with trusting someone new with my hair, but I'm so glad i decide to trust Mitzy. She was so gentle on my hair and she definitely care about my hair. So I'm super picky about who does my hair and I've had the HARDEST time finding a stylist who I really like. Mitzy helped me figure out what hairstyle is best for my lifestyle (i.e very minimal maintenance) and made my hair look AMAZING. I wish I had taken before and after photos to show the difference since she started doing my hair. I highly recommend Mitzy to anyone who's looking for a stylist. I had a warm red (like a maroon but more red than brown) anywho, so happy with this cool tone we've been keeping since.

It's been almost 2.5 years since I moved to LA from SF…read more I have to say that the quality of hair cut & perm you get here is amazing and consistent every single time which I feel very grateful for. I'm pretty picky about my hair, especially because I'm originally from Japan and I have a different hairstyle expectation that you usually cannot get at a U.S. hair salon. That's been said, if you have a typical Asian guy with hair traits like mine (thick & straight), I highly recommend you give it a try at this hidden gem in Monrovia. I cut my hair every 3-4 weeks, and I get a perm once a 3-4 months at Yumi's place. Yes, you read it right, I get a perm. I know getting men's perm is not common in the U.S, but the truth is it's such an undervalued thing here because permed hair is incredibly easy to manage, which is usually not the case for a typical thick straight Asian guy hair. Additionally, Yumi's place has very low covid risk as it's an individually owned salon, and the only person you meet in person is Yumi. She is very careful about maintaining covid sanitization and I feel safe each time I go there. He answers the phone almost immediately every time I call, always texts to confirm appointments, and somehow manages to make time for me even when his schedule is completely full. This last visit meant more to me than he probably knows. I had just been laid off from my job and had an important interview the next day. I felt overwhelmed and stressed and knew I needed a haircut to feel even a little more confident going into it. Even though Leo was fully booked for days, he offered to see me two and a half hours after his normal closing time. After a long day of work, he still welcomed me with kindness, patience, and warmth and took incredible care of me without ever making me feel rushed or like an inconvenience. When I went to pay at the end of the appointment, Leo stopped me and told me he was taking care of my haircut because of what I was going through. That moment genuinely brought me to tears. In a time when I was feeling really low, his generosity and compassion meant everything to me. Leo is not only an incredibly talented stylist, but a genuinely good human being. I have been hankering for a pedicure for a while, and not just any pedicure. I wanted something…read moremore therapeutic. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!
