Have been going here every 2-3 weeks for about a year now. I do gel manicures, with the occasional pedicure and/or chair massage. It is my favorite local nail salon. It's peaceful and calm, and I especially love that I rarely chip with my gel manicures (it took me a bit to realize that certain brands chip and others do not for me). Best prices in Millburn and great service! I came the Thursday before NYE and they were able to fit me in the day of. They helped me pick a nail color for my gel mani and it's lasted beautifully. Gel manicure chipped after 3 days. Totally unacceptable for $45. Tools are dirty and reused without cleaning between clients. The towel under my feet during pedicure was CRUSTY. Only reason to give 2 stars is for nail tech Meiky who's is polite and talented. Products don't seem to be true gel or up to par with competing salons. The lady- I believe the owner- is down right rude. I am a Millburn resident. I used to come here all the time because of the great service and the gentleman there has always been gracious. But I have had several interactions with the lady now - all have been negative- so I recommend going somewhere else. For example one day I asked just for a nail polish change and the entire time she was rolling her eyes and asking the technician doing my nails to make sure she doesn't do any "extra" work on my nails. I want to like this place and I keep trying it and it's a disaster every time. The pedicure lasts 10 min which is not even the biggest issue with the pedicure. They don't clean the tub. They rinse it with water and leave it for the next client (that's gross!!!!) I got a quick pedicure and I saw them "clean" or rinse with the water from the pedicure faucet and then seat another client in the same chair. Eww They also couldn't fit me in for a gel manicure when I made the appointment for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was told the other person had a 5:30 appointment. (Yea well I had a 4pm appointment and had to wait for my pedicure, why should I have to wait for someone else's manicure that was an hour and a half after mine) by that point I was done. I have never been so disappointed in a nail salon. The pedicure was okay. My toes could've used another coat.. my cuticles we not pushed back, just painted over. My gel manicure was horrendous. I've been coming to Miu Miu since they opened and I absolutely love it! I particularly love the spa-like atmosphere, with clean, minimal furniture and decor, soft music, and no TV. It really adds to the experience. I get regular manicures and spa pedicures and always love the result. A regular manicure lasts about 10 days! The chair massage is also amazing. They also have a rewards program (1 free mani for every 10 or something like that) that I'm pleased has lasted beyond the Grand Opening. Compared to many other salons in the area, Miu Miu is also huge and well-staffed so I rarely wait at all and never for long when I walk-in. read more

My first visit here and I like it! Max did a great job with my pedicure! The salon is very clean, they do a very thorough job with the manicure and the pedicure. Cara did a very good job with my manicure, I got the shellac gel. The nail polish was lighter than on the display, but that's OK, it's still very pretty! Went home and immediately had to reshape / file my nails. I got tips with SNS dip powder on top and she didn't even spend time to shape / buff / file my nails at the end. They looked like uneven globs. Thankfully I could somewhat salvage them when I got home with my own nail file. Pedicure was fine but like others said was very short, didn't last very long. Don't feel like they spent enough time on my cuticles / or scrubbing my feet but my toenails look fine... hoping the gel lasts. read more

Not the best customer service when I tried to make an appointment. I came two times , separate days to try and get my nails done. I was told both times that the nail tech was booked and I could only get a pedicure. When I walked in I asked for mani and pedi. The girl in the front asked me to choose my color, I told her I wanted gel mani she told me the price $45 then to chose the color from a black note pad pallet. They have maybe 40 colors in total to choose from, not a lot of colors. I told her that I would choose my color sitting down and to please start w/ the pedi. She told me I couldn't take the pallet because they didn't have another one to show the next future costumer. I looked around and gave her a look of confusion because it was just me an one more person there on a rainy week day. After her looking my reaction she went ahead and said, take it to your sit but you have to hurry and choose your color for your feet before you sit. I want the same on my feet As my hands I said. We don't have same colors to match or close to the same colors she answers. How can they not try to match the 40 gel polish color they have?. It's not hard to do when they only have that many colors to choose from In the first place. I don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. Maybe in few months they'll be more establish. This is one of my happy places! I come here every two weeks for a UV gel fill in/manicure and a pedicure. I used to do SNS at my old salon and had tons of problems with them breaking. When I moved and switched to Miu Miu, Bella suggested that I switch to UV gel when she found out that I swim. Apparently being in water often leads to many problems with SNS. Well, she couldn't be more right! My nails always look perfect and I haven't had a single problem! The staff is beyond lovely, they know their stuff and they are true perfectionists. I think I found my nail spa. I have been to so many local nail salons and this one is my new favorite. First, they use disposable tools and files and that means a good hygiene is kept here. Second, the place is super clean and tidy and I found the employees here are very attentive and friendly. Third, there is a free parking in the back of the salon so this is a huge plus. I had the WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE at Miu Miu Nail Spa. I saw the rave reviews and booked an appointment. Here's how things went from bad to worse: - When I went to sit down, nail tools were already sitting in a basket, opened, at her station. I asked if the tools had been sanitized, and she rudely responded that they had been. I was skeptical because the nail clipper was rusting. I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN UP AND LEFT THEN. - The nail tech started shaping my nails and pushing/cutting my cuticles. She did not soak my nails prior to that. When I asked why she didn't, she responded that they "don't do that for gel manicures." I have gotten countless gel manis and my nails and cuticles have always been soaked prior to shaping and cutting of cuticles. - I told the nail tech to be gentle with my cuticles because they are sensitive. She then asked if I was sure I wanted my cuticles cut. Why else would I get a gel mani if it weren't for cleaning my cuticles and shaping my nails to perfection? When I said yes, she began TUGGING at my cuticles, pulling the skin so aggressively. I asked her to be more gentle, and she was somewhat more gentle, but the damage was already done. My cuticles started bleeding immediately. - When she finished shaping my nails, I took a look and noticed it was very poorly done. My nails were uneven and there was so much skin on the sides of my nails that needed attention. I showed her that, and rolled her eyes at me. - At that point, I told her that I'd like to have another nail tech do my nails and that I wanted to speak to the manager. SHE RESPONDED THAT SHE IS THE MANAGER, AND STARTED SPEAKING IN HER LANGUAGE TO THE OTHER NAIL TECHS. I told her that I was not happy with the job she did and how she treated me. Her response was "I am sorry if you feel that way." - At that point, I got up, grabbed my purse, and walked out. I can't believe the level of DISRESPECT AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE at this business. I went here to get SNS but that is not what I got. They didn't tell me that the only SNS color they have is clear...and they just put regular nail polish on top of it. It's been about a week and all my polish is gone. It chipped within the hour and was peeling off my nails within days. I've gotten SNS before and this is not what SNS feels like at all. It shouldn't peel off within the week. I was also one of two people there and only four workers were present. They guy who did my nails also missed my nail and got nail polish all on my hand numerous times. The tools also were not sterilized. Miu Miu plays relaxing music but is overpriced. A basic pedicure is around $25. They put no bath salts in the water, reuse tools amongst customers, and don't wash the pedicure basins well. They rush you through the entire pedicure-- it takes 15 minutes (even when there is no one else in the salon). The foot massage lasts around 1 minute for both feet. The final product is beautifully painted nails, but it certainly isn't a spa like experience. There are many colors to choose from and the polish does seem to stay on for a long time. read more
