At first I love this store as there is something for everyone I don't care if it's something you're going to buy for your home or something you can buy for a gift there is something for everyone. The No Return no credit no policy is something that needs to be changed though. I have spent so much money in the store and I'm a local I have told many people about this place I have purchased things for my home jewelry and I have purchased many gifts here and this place is amazing as far as the eclectic group of things you can buy. I purchased three bracelets in different areas of the store and all three of them broke. I took them back and asked if I could have credit if they could fix them or if I could exchange them and they said a flat out no. No no return policy. I also had one turn my wrist Green and they didn't want to hear about it in front of the other customers . I showed them my jewelry, showed them that they broke and they said no returns sorry not sorry. I have to say I'm very disappointed because I have loved that store for a few years but they didn't care that I had the three bracelets out of three that broke. They were too busy to deal with me and they didn't want to hear that I had issues and a final purchase is a final purchase. I try to go in at least once or twice a month because I do like some of the items from the smaller vendors within. However, BEWARE of the two older ladies. They are extremely rude and I've witnessed them treat their very own staff the same way. One is a brunette and the other is a blonde. I'm always there on a weekend, so Saturday or Sunday is when I have dealt with them. They are impolite, and almost insulting. Rumor has it they are only nice to customers that spend a lot of money, as I learned while waiting in line to eat at the restaurant next door. It's a weird feeling when they are there. A lot of tension makes for a very unhappy place. They don't smile, they don't want to talk to their customers, they're short and impatient. I went to buy something and assumed I would pay as it was marked. Nope. One of the ladies had to spend 15 minutes on a computer to make sure she wasn't shorted a dollar ... while I waited! I should've just left. Come to find out, it was a $30 item and she tried to charge me over $100! And, it was an old beat up, thin, scratched piece I was looking at. (Don't even know why.) I caught her! Normally I wouldn't think twice about it, but it's not the first time this has happened. She's done it before - literally marked an item up right in front of me, and then acted as though it was my fault! How do you do business like this? Well, ladies, take note ... this is a very small area you are in and word spreads real fast. Here's some advice: Just be nice (and not so curmudgeonly). It's really quite easy. And not just to people spending a lot of money. You never know who we are. And for God's sake, be nice to the people you work with. It's embarrassing. Stopped by this place today and was not greeted by anyone. I decided to shrug it off and continue to make my way through the store. I noticed the lady that didn't greet me was walking near me and paying very close attention to me when I was looking at the jewelry. I asked her if I could see something out of the case and she acted like I was inconveniencing her. Extremely rude staff here. These ladies should not be working here if it's that unbearable. Agoura Antique Mart has way better staff and always notice you when you walk through their doors. read more

Bought a gift here for my wife. Wide variety of choices. Was disappointed with the store's "All Sales are Final" policy since I was buying jewelry. Would find it much more acceptable if there was an easier, kinder return/exchange policy such as in worst case a simple store credit in case the gift receivor really didn't like the item. read more

I found an antique book I wanted to buy..the price was clearly marked on a piece of paper on the inside cover. Yep thought it was me maybe why she was kind of rude. The woman that owns or works there does have an unfriendly attitude. I have to wear a mask over my nose because of chemical fragrances make me sick , so she probably thought I was up to something. The mask doesn't cover my face or anything and is beige and pretty unassuming. I always take it off before leaving the store so they don't think I have anything under it. But I totally got the vibe! I like the store and want to shop there in spite of my handicap and the smelly stuff they sell. She was more than welcome to ask me why I have to wear the little nose and mouth mask. I would have gladly explained. I have been in there many times and they don't really engage in any conversation which is fine but don't want to be vibed. Glad to see others had a similar experience. Went there today April 13, 2017 around 4 o'clock. I spent $200 and the miserable woman who rang me out made me never want to return to this establishment again. I'm a jewelry dealer in LA and spend thousands every month at many of the local antique stores. I don't go here often cause quite frankly their jewelry selection is poor - so they don't know me well like my other places do. I bought three items and two of them I received a 10% dealer discount because I knew the seller. On the third item, I asked for a 10% dealer discount and the woman would have thought that I asked to take the item for free. She said to me "this dealer won't do discounts. They don't want to do your picking for you." What a disgusting thing to say to a customer! The item was $95 and 10% is a standard discount in the antique business. How dare you treat me with such disrespect! This woman seriously lacks class. Then she had the nerve to try to charge me tax! Do you have something in your ears? I only said I was a dealer ten times. A real piece of work. It's a shame cause the previous handful of times I've been there the staff was great. This woman was snooty and rude for no reason - the kind of pretentious person who should never handle a customer. read more
