Their price points are spot on for the quality & quantity of things here! The atmosphere when I come here is very friendly, cozy, warm, inviting, classy. Super cute store in Agoura Hills. Located in the canyon club shopping mall area this spot is off to the left of the complex. The signage is cute and it was easy to find. Walked inside and was grateful that this spot was spacious and cool, nice way to escape the extreme summer heat. This store has everything you can think of! Lots of home goods, stationary, dining decor, the list goes on and on. It's definitely a fun store to look for gifts and such. I saw lot of cute little decorations that I debated getting for my house. The disco balls were definitely hard to pass up on lol. This spot is dangerous as you'll surely walk away with something. The staff inside were nice. I appreciate when employees allow you to browse without awkwardly falling you around the store. Everyone was nice and again, there is just so much to see you could be in here for hours. Loved the few rock and roll areas with quotes and such. Only reason I docked a star as the prices are all over the place, which makes sense as some areas/booths are curated where the artist makes the price. Just couldn't get sense as some items were reasonable while others were extremely overpriced. Just the way it goes when some items are consignment/artisan based. Terrible experience. I've been in this store with mix feelings each time I leave this place , but today was the worst feeling and believe it or not there is NOTHING magical about this store. I will never come back or recommend to anyone. Especially when you have an older lady with dark hair watching your every move like you're planning to take something . She was all around us fixing fluffing things right next to us and just staying there not asking if we had any questions. This store is not high end , it's just over priced products some that are massed produced . As we left that area she went back to look if anything was out of place. The audacity and her rudeness makes you not want to buy anything from this store . We went to Agoura Antique Mart right after and they were very pleasant and helpful. read more

I have been shopping in this store for a while now. Was visiting it for Christmas shopping over the weekend when the Whizin Center was having a Holiday Event. The ladies at the desk in this store have historically been unfriendly but this evening after purchasing a few bowls for Christmas gifts the small petite older woman was particularly rude when asked about gift wrapping. As an advisor to several customer centric retailers this recent experience would made me cringe at the poor attitude displayed here. Also as a former retailer for nearly a decade this lack of appreciation and care for the customer would eventually lead to a store shuddering. Subjecting customers to such a negative experience is disappointing. Will not be shopping here again. read more

There's been some shuffling around of the shops in the back part of Whizin's Market Square. Mixt. used to be a little further east, but moved closer to the center of the southern wing of the mall. They have temporary signs up, but expect that they'll be moving their fancy sign, which still hangs over their original location. They feature a variety of merchandise - vintage and some modern pieces that look vintage. There's everything from antique furniture to clever signs, pillows, jewelry, household decor, mirrors, cards, and much more. With Christmas coming right along, there were a number of holiday decorations, too. Overall, the visual appeal is strong, though a few areas still look unfinished. We were just browsing as part of the Whizin Winter Stroll, and didn't make any purchases. I would consider stopping in again when in the area and on a hunt for unique items not made thousands of miles away and brought in by container ship. Love this shop! So many cool and eclectic blend of items here. I can spend hours in here just looking at everything and laugh all day. So many artsy handcrafts and funny cards. Great shop to pick up gifts or random items for the home or office. If u buy over $15 there's free gift wrapping which is a major plus cuz I hate wrapping gifts! The wrapping paper is so pretty too! The shop presented as very charming but I was IMMEDIATELY put off by the racist decor/item for sale. I don't understand how anyone could sell this and think that it is appropriate. I am concerned that the shop and its owners are perpetrating the notion that this type of imagery is acceptable. In addition, the ladies working today were very rude, and approached us with clear disdain and watched us attentively throughout our time here. WHAT the F? I bought $50 worth of soap. And I have about 10 unopened homemade bars at the house. Why, God? Why? This place has every unique vintage gift under the Sun. Every soy candle. Lotion. Doorknob. Chandelier. Throw pillow. It is a vintage country French paradise. White linen, burlap, lace, crystals, Soft, rustic, shimmering, weathered A few nouns and adjectives that come to mind. Something about the lightning and the hardwood makeup of the place adds to the atmosphere and lures your broke ass to come in and buy. (Like a spell or something.) So just go in, look around and BUY! The gifts in the store are beautiful and I enjoyed picking out a few items for my sister in laws birthday- the good experience ends there. The woman that checked me out today was rude and unfriendly- she made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was doing something wrong when I was simply standing there looking to pay for my purchases. She said absolutely nothing to me from the moment I put my items on the counter to when I left with my bag- I would never return. I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere at Whizins Center than Mixt. Although the mix of decor and jewelry offer endless hours of perusing, the staff and particularly the woman who follows you around the store make it not worth your time. On our most recent and final visit to the store we were followed and watched as if we were suspicious. The final straw came when our adult children were spoken to rudely and told to return a puzzle to its original state. Point is the puzzle had previously been changed by another guest and was inappropriate. Rather than be grateful we changed the derogatory term, the older woman told us to fix it. Don't go to Mixt. The owner is unbelievably rude, I would give negative stars if possible. The stuff in there is so overpriced and you could find it on amazon for half the price. The employees follow you around like a hawk and treat you like a toddler. Not to mention the menacing attitude they talk to you with. What we thought would be a pleasant experience of shopping to decorate our new home, Mixt. Fine Things ruined the experience.. It seems the decor of finer things didn't come with a finer attitude of the staff or owners. I can appreciate the desire to close and leave as soon as they can at the end of the day. We did want to accommodate them by simply walking quickly through the shop to take mental notes of what we wanted to come back for.. but the tone they delivered to us when they said "you're going the wrong way" forever changed our opinion of the store. It's not what you say, but how you say it that makes all the difference and their off putting fragrance has cost them a very lucrative sale and future business. I'm not really sure what happened to this place and I'm not usually one to write bad reviews but man....did I ever pick up an odd, uncomfortable, vibe within the first couple of minutes of walking into this store. I felt such an indifference in the air and in the attitudes of the ladies that work there (one in particular stood out) but that didn't deter me from shopping. I wasn't there to make new best friends though I do feel that if you work in a sales environment, you might want to be a tiny bit friendly and welcoming. Anywho, I brushed it off and continued on in my search for some Christmas presents and while doing so, I felt the never ending bizarre, unfriendly stare from this one particular saleswoman. Everywhere I went, she was right there giving me such an unsettling feeling. And this is a big store. I was relieved when she finally was asked by another shopper to open a cabinet turning her attention to her. I wanted to give this lady the benefit of the doubt...maybe she was going through something personally or was just tired. I myself have worked in retail so I understand the craziness of it and especially during the Christmas season. I started to notice that I wasn't the only one she was doing this to and my Spidey senses began to wonder what was going on. Was it just me that was picking this up?? Was I reading too much into this?? My curiosity led me to Yelp later on this evening. I wanted to see if any others had had the same experience and whadya know....I'm not the only one. Wow. Really a shame too because it is a cool store and I have enjoyed shopping there in the past. But this kind of behavior is odd, unwarranted and not really the kind I need when I'm trying to find/purchase presents and keep it local. Not really sure I'm going to return any time soon or if ever. At first I love this store as there is something for everyone I don't care if it's something you're going to buy for your home or something you can buy for a gift there is something for everyone. The No Return no credit no policy is something that needs to be changed though. I have spent so much money in the store and I'm a local I have told many people about this place I have purchased things for my home jewelry and I have purchased many gifts here and this place is amazing as far as the eclectic group of things you can buy. I purchased three bracelets in different areas of the store and all three of them broke. I took them back and asked if I could have credit if they could fix them or if I could exchange them and they said a flat out no. No no return policy. I also had one turn my wrist Green and they didn't want to hear about it in front of the other customers . I showed them my jewelry, showed them that they broke and they said no returns sorry not sorry. I have to say I'm very disappointed because I have loved that store for a few years but they didn't care that I had the three bracelets out of three that broke. They were too busy to deal with me and they didn't want to hear that I had issues and a final purchase is a final purchase. Very sorry, as there's a great great store just like them next door which I will be giving my business too. All they had to do is give me store credit or exchange my jewelry.
