It is beautifully appointed It has nice high ceilings but there is still a warm welcoming feel. It's the staff. They are all so welcoming and treat you like they are genuinely happy to serve you. They have music playing but it is subtle, adds nicely to the ambiance and is not too loud. The food was very good. We got there before happy hour so we were able to order a couple of glasses of decent house wines for $6.00 a glass and shared an appetizer of crispy chicken lettuce bites. For entrees my husband had an 8 oz. prime rib special. It was so good. cooked as he had requested it. One of the better prime ribs that we've tasted and it was only $30.00 as a Sunday special. I had the lamb loin that was also very good. Service was also very good. Our server, Stella was so busy but she checked on us regularly to ensure that we were well taken care of. It is so nice when you go to a restaurant and it exceeds your expectations. This has the vibe of a fine dining restaurant with the décor, the muted background music, the service and the food. The prices are very reasonable for what they offer. We highly recommend and we'll be back.

First, we were seated quickly upon arrival, even though the restaurant looked busy for a Tuesday night. The servers were personable and genuinely kind, which set the tone for the rest of our dinner. The appetizers and drinks came out quickly, and both the chicken wings and calamari were some of the best we've ever had. Most calamari is served with tartar or marinara sauce, but their version came with a much more elevated yuzu sauce. Delicious! The mains were beautifully plated and tasted even better. The salmon had a light, balanced seasoning and was perfectly cooked, not dry at all. The steak and peri peri chicken were well seasoned as well, with a seared crust and moist interior. My daughter loved the pasta, too. For dessert, we ordered the Cloud 9, which was perfectly named. It was a banana cake drizzled with sauce and topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and fresh bananas. We're already planning what to order on our next visit because the menu had so many other items we definitely want to try. This was the best meal we've had in Vancouver, and we highly recommend it.

The last time I remember being a patron at the Guildford Station Pub was at least a decade ago…read more When my boyfriend and I were looking to have a late lunch before braving the holiday shopping crowds at the nearby Guildford Town Centre, this place came to mind. In between the lunch and dinner rushes (but still too early for happy hour, drat), we found ample free parking in the parking lot. Outside, the pub was exactly as I remembered. Upon stepping inside, wow! The place had clearly undergone an extensive renovation and was now what you would expect from an upscale pub. Upon first glance there was a good mix of high seats, regular seats, and a few booths. We seated ourselves and the friendly waitress came over in due course to ask for drinks to get us started, and take our orders. I appreciated the extensive menu; plenty of choices for appetizers, sandwiches/wraps, entrees, etc. Boyfriend ordered the Falafel Veggie Wrap and I ordered the Station Rice bowl, and was able to go easy on the sauce (bonus points whenever a place can offer minor customization). My rice bowl was piping hot (yum) and they did seem to go easy on the sauce, so the rice at the bottom wasn't swimming in the soy-ginger sauce. Portion size was great given the price, and I thought it was filling without leaving me feeling bloated. What struck us the most were the prices. Our total bill was just shy of $25 (disclosure: we did not order any alcoholic beverages). Looking over the menu, all the prices (sandwiches, wraps, entrees) dirt-cheap in comparison to some of the other pub-like establishments or chain restaurants out there. Without a doubt, this will be a nice sit-down restaurant on my list if I'm in the area!

I usually get my liquor from Guilford Station liquor store. And they have a point system where when…read moreyou buy the liquor your points get added and later you can and cash those points into money and buy the stuff from Guildford Station pub. I've used this facility3-4 times earlier Where I ordered food and picked it up for my home.but this time when I went to pick up my order which was worth around $50 and they told me I cannot use my points money, which I have done it earlier for a Takeaway purpose and now SuddenlyIt's only for dining. So my receipt which I picked up from the Gulf Station liquor store was a waste. I don't like to sit around stinky people smelling weed all around and doing drugs outside so I prefer to take my food home. The dumb bartender Steve or jason pretended that he is a manager and refused to cancel the order. I was not having my wallet and he threatened me to not let me go if I don't pay the bill. I have paid almost $50 on my pocket after I have points which I can cash and which I have done earlier as well. This is the shittiest service I have ever got from a restaurant. No matter if it is your fault or the liquor store fault to let me know the changed rule, I lost the money. I am not coming back to you guys ever again.. neither for liquor or for food. Anyways, your food sucks. I am attaching both the photos of the slip from Guildford Station liquor store with a valid $30. And the receipt and the money charged by the bartender Who is pretending to be a manager Which will show the time.
