The elote barely had any corn and the grilled chicken was a bit tougher than I would like. The valkyrie's blackened chicken was much better so I highly recommend you swap the grilled chicken for the blackened chicken! The workers are friendly. read more

Someone walked by as we were eating and said, "It's like Sweetgreens" and I must wholeheartedly disagree. So if you've been to a Sweetgreens you know you're going to wait at least 15-20 minutes in line. There will be (at most) two people behind the counter, the lettuce options aren't great and they have almost no outside seating - this is not the experience you'll have at MIXT. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in line at a MIXT, even on opening day in Walnut Creek. There are always multiple people behind the counter, and the most time consuming part of the experience is that they often can't hear me when I put in my order. This San Ramon location is a bit less fancy than the Walnut Creek one. They had fans running and seemed a bit more rough around the edges, but our food was still just as good. Both salads were delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. All in all, the last few weeks I've really become a bug fan of MIXT and we'll definitely be back to this location. read more

This used to be part of my regular rotation. However on the last 2 visits both my wife and I had digestive issues right after finishing my salad and I'm not sure which ingredient was responsible. But at $20 the salads are too expensive to throw away. To be fair, Mixt reached out to address my concerns and provided a satisfactory resolution. So I will give this location another shot as I really do miss the salads and hopefully the QC will improve. read more

My first time ordering from Mixt and I'm so disappointed. I ordered a Bachan's bowl and the ingredients sounded good but once I received the bowl and started eating, the first bite told me something was very wrong. The rice at the bottom bowl was not even halfway cooked. DISGUSTING. As an Asian person whose staple food is rice this was a disgrace and a shame. You would never serve this rice if you have any respect for the person eating the food. It tasted like the rice was just soaked it water and then dumped into the bowl without being cooked. Every bite was polluted with these crunchy and hard kernels and though I tried to eat around all the rice it was hard to avoid altogether. It ruined the dish and I will never be going back to this place where its employees either don't know how to cook rice or they just don't care. read more

We ordered the Elote Salad with grilled chicken and the Bachelor with grilled steak. The salads were good: fresh and flavorful. However, the staff experience was once again disappointing. The girl making our salad wasn't very friendly. Not rude, but just gave off a vibe like she didn't want to be there. Honestly, it seems like the staff here are either upset or just not happy to be working. Came on July 4th around 30 minutes after they opened and was probably the first sit down customers of the day. All ingredients at the ordering counter were set up cleanly and looked pretty fresh. Ordering was easy and they brought the salads to our table. There is also a water dispenser near the seating area. I got the elote salad (seasonal), and it was pretty good! The blackened chicken was on the plain side but was cooked well and I had no complaints. The overall salad was mixed well and I liked the crunch from the pumpkin seeds. Of course, I'd much rather prefer Sweetgreen but Mixt is the closest thing in the Dublin/San Ramon area. I wouldn't mind coming back to Mixt if I'm craving a salad and in the area. read more

We were in this shopping plaza around dinner time and I picked this place to grab a meal. They have a bunch of pre-determined bowls and of course, you can do a pick your own option. I perused the menu and decided on the Valkyries 2.0 bowl. There must've been a 1.0 version - maybe last year. While I like the Valks and have been to a couple of games, I didn't choose it based on the name. I actually liked the ingredients and the combo of it. In addition to lettuce and cabbage, it had olives, feta, radicchio, blackened chicken, pickled red onions, cucumbers, and watermelon. I think the watermelon sold me. They offered to put the dressing on the side - it was a lemon mint dressing. I said sure why not. I ended not needing it at all. All the flavors in the salad, especially the olives were strong enough. They filled a decent size cardboard container and I was thinking it seemed pretty small for the cost ($18) but it was pretty filling. I was starving too and inhaled it. I liked it and the ingredients seemed fresh. I would come back and try some of their other combinations. read more

Today I received a promo for one of their delicious cookies because it's Dave the Cookie Monster's birthday and I'm a member of the rewards club. Well a 34 dollar salad was a new high for me BUT it did last two days. Fresh ingredients, there is an AMAZING fried cauliflower that is the only thing that will get me back. Great healthy food choices. I like how there's loading/unloading parking right in front so you can run in to pick up food to go. It's a bright, clean and open space. Staff is nice. My only concern so far is for people with food allergies. My son is gf and when I was trying to confirm which dishes were safe for him, I was provided with differing info than what was posted on the menu. Specifically, they told me a dish that the menu said was gf is not gf. So I didn't feel comfortable ordering food for him. So celiacs beware. Otherwise, my experience has been good. *Food poisoning alert* So sorry to write this, but I think the general public should be aware, and hopefully steps can be taken by the restaurant to prevent this. I had takeout from the San Ramon, CA location last night, 2/21/26. I had the Vegan Thai Bangkok bowl and after around 6 hours, started having terrible nausea and diarrhea. I couldn't sleep last night. The nausea persisted into the morning and finally upon vomiting 5 times the nausea has been improving slowly. It's been quite miserable. Just wanted to let you know and find out if there were any other reports of this on 2/21/26. I love the concept of Mixt but sadly I won't be back. Just the thought gives me nausea. read more

I came here with my family for an early dinner and it was pretty good. We wanted something fresh and clean tasting so we chose MIXT. The employees taking down your order also make the salads from scratch. We enjoyed the chili crunch salad which is inspired by the Asian chili crunch sauce. It was decent tasting but nothing special. The size of their salads aren't huge either, just regular. I guess the flavors of their salads and the different ways you can mix your custom salad is a big hit but honestly, nothing out of the ordinary. As soon as she started putting the base in the bowl, I was shocked by how huge it was! There are a large variety of toppings. Their tofu was one of my favorites. It was marinated so deliciously. Mixt is my favorite place to grab salad. Although it's a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic when we want to treat ourselves to a nice large salad this is where we go. I got a Cesar with some additions, and my boyfriend got the orchard. So many other restaurants and stores around the city center bishop ranch district. We walked around with our pup after having some salad and after treated ourselves to some gelato, if you're a fan of salad and especially to customize it I highly recommend coming to Mixt! It is a little bit pricey, but I think worth it if you're looking for a good salad or grain bowl with good ingredients. I ordered via the app and picked up my order during my lunch break. My order was ready when I got there and I was greeted and asked if I wanted a bag. I'm knocking stars off because of portion size. The food was tasted good, but when comparing to Berkeley and their portion size, I felt as if I got half the amount. The food was barely half the bowl. At Berkeley the entire bowl is filled. They have zero locations on the Peninsula and yes, you better bet I filled out seven "location" forms on their site, imploring and pleading and begging that they add more places near my house. I was blown away by the quality and freshness, the ingredients pristine and bomb splash spanking flavor, the robust meal-sized portions, the generosity of all their food. We got something that seems simple enough: Caesar, but with some add-ons, e.g. pickled onions and falafel plus a couple of other stuff from their salad bar. I love you can actively see what they're adding, they mix it in front of you, and you can customize "light" "medium" or "heavy" dressings. The seasonings in the falafel nicely balanced and rounded out, not acidic or acrid as it often is. Love love love, super healthy and organic. I want one of these so badly on the peninsula. Did I mention the price? Very very reasonable for the giant portion. This is in a strip outside mall, so plenty of free parking, The interior is spartan, neat and clean. read more

Definitely a pricier, aesthetic salad spot but I definitely enjoyed my meal! This was my first time trying MIXT since my friend had raved about their salads. I loved how bright and fresh the atmosphere was here. I noticed it was a bit like a Chipotle style build your own salad place, but I instead opted for just signature salads on the menu. I got the Pacifica Crispy Chicken Bowl -- and every bite was just so delicious! Everything was so flavorful and fresh. I found myself literally saying "Mmm" during every bite because I just loved how everything tasted! The portion size was super huge, I was able to take the rest back to work and finish it for the latter-half-of-the-day snack! I must say, though, the chicken to salad ratio was a bit disappointing. That is only because the chicken is just sooo good, I wish I had more of it with the salad! Even just one more piece would have been enough, but maybe that is just my preference thing. Would I come back here? Definitely! A nice salad for lunch will always be the best pick me up. Is it on the pricier side?
