Alhamdulillah for this lovely halal spot that has become a big hit in our family. What a pleasure to park at the San Ramon Islamic Center next door and combine prayers with food :) The shawarma wraps might seem pricey (~ $15) but are massive. Over a foot long and honestly lasts me two meals (although teens can probably take them down). We also love the fries and protein covered with the lovely sauces for a nice spicy kick. I placed an online order for pickup at a specific time and it was ready for me right when I got there. I chose to dine-in, even though I place a to-go order. I had eaten at this location before, but only saw the posted menu inside and ordered at the counter. To my pleasant surprise, they have a lot more menu options on their online ordering system, so I'd highly recommend using that to order even if you order from inside the restaurant! I had a much better experience with my meal placing the order this way because I could see additional selections, like the protein bowl that I ordered, and also see all the possible customizations. There is a lot of indoor seating and a few tables outside. Ambiance is like a fast food restaurant, but food is much better! They have a large fountain drink selection and unlimited garlic and another sauce. I ordered the protein bowl and was able to customize for 1/2 saffron rice 1/2 lettuce as a base, add feta and side sauces. The grilled ch Ike. Was tender and well seasoned. I ordered falafel, it wasn't tasty, for example they added rice to me without me asking and it wasn't in the order. The falafel is made from flour and not real chickpeas, of course there is no tahini, instead of the oil that such a traditional dish usually comes with. The price is expensive for a product that doesn't contain meat or chicken, almost $17 without a drink. Not recommended. I won't go back here I probably should have figured out on my own that there was a reason the place was empty. read more

Ooomph!!!! This place is sooo good. It's a solid five stars for me. Their white sauce is smackin'. The garlicky goodness was perfect with all the fixings. From french fries to salad to hummus to saffron rice with kofte, the meal was packed with flavor. I love that this place is a fast casual spot. We frequent The Kebab Shop a lot. It's very hit or miss here. Most times their soda machine doesn't work. It's been this way for months. Lately they've had a slight turnover with their front end employees. We come here because we do love their food; but, we do get mostly saffron rice when my husband and I order their plates. Their meat portion is very small. One time it looked like we literally got the scraps/leftovers of chicken. I really hope their quality improves because we do like it here. They have seating inside and outside. We do love their playlists. They definitely play some good jams. read more

I arrived about five minutes after the pick up time and the staff didn't have my order ready and then quickly started to make the order at that time. About 10 minutes later, when they handed me the bag, I'm glad I checked the contents inside because it was missing both sides of falafel and hummus and pita. I let them know that my sides were missing and he brought out a bag of falafels and apologized. I had to tell him again that I am still missing a side of pita and hummus. My friends and my to go spot after tennis and golf. This place has yet to disappoint us always getting the bowl with the lamb/beef (gyro meat) worth the extra charge. Not a fan of the truffle rice, not sure if you're supposed to be able to taste it but I couldn't. Saffron rice all day! My girlfriend and I usually share a bowl because we can never finish our own. This place is fantastic. Everything is so delicious and fresh, the proteins are amazing (huge skewers of perfectly grilled chicken which is what I always get), and large portions that we take home. A solid spot for fast casual medit food. Those sauces are what sets this apart. Homemade garlic-yogurt sauces, that jalapeno cilantro sauce is what's up and added so much to the dishes. The chicken and vegetables was healthy and delicious, and not many places offering fresh vegetables, especially fast casual. The french fries weren't super crispy and could have used more seasoning. [$21, 5.0 stars] * The kebab plate w/lamb & beef shawarma (carved) with two sides and a bevy of choices -- I went with rice and greek salad. The shawarma was flavorful and spiced, and everything nice -- large portion. All in all -- great -- [$15-20, 4.5 stars]. * Doner sandwich? I've tried twice, and I'm done ordering it and no longer recommend it. Wrapped like a burrito, it's made with a "flatbread" so thin it's like a tortilla. In fact, I presume it is. If so, I'd rather have a burrito! I've tried it with Chicken Kebab (+$1), and carved chicken (it's dark meat), and it was either dry and gristly or not white, which is what I prefer.
