Then you can choose everything inside. They are always adding new toppings, such as jalapeno hummus. Today I got a grain bowl with saffron rice, chicken shawarma, and jalapeno hummus. I placed an online order for pickup at a specific time and it was ready for me right when I got there. I chose to dine-in, even though I place a to-go order. I had eaten at this location before, but only saw the posted menu inside and ordered at the counter. To my pleasant surprise, they have a lot more menu options on their online ordering system, so I'd highly recommend using that to order even if you order from inside the restaurant! I had a much better experience with my meal placing the order this way because I could see additional selections, like the protein bowl that I ordered, and also see all the possible customizations. There is a lot of indoor seating and a few tables outside. Ambiance is like a fast food restaurant, but food is much better! They have a large fountain drink selection and unlimited garlic and another sauce. I ordered falafel, it wasn't tasty, for example they added rice to me without me asking and it wasn't in the order. The falafel is made from flour and not real chickpeas, of course there is no tahini, instead of the oil that such a traditional dish usually comes with. The price is expensive for a product that doesn't contain meat or chicken, almost $17 without a drink. Not recommended. I won't go back here I probably should have figured out on my own that there was a reason the place was empty. read more

Ooomph!!!! This place is sooo good. It's a solid five stars for me. Their white sauce is smackin'. The garlicky goodness was perfect with all the fixings. From french fries to salad to hummus to saffron rice with kofte, the meal was packed with flavor. I love that this place is a fast casual spot. We frequent The Kebab Shop a lot. It's very hit or miss here. Most times their soda machine doesn't work. It's been this way for months. Lately they've had a slight turnover with their front end employees. We come here because we do love their food; but, we do get mostly saffron rice when my husband and I order their plates. Their meat portion is very small. One time it looked like we literally got the scraps/leftovers of chicken. I really hope their quality improves because we do like it here. This place is fantastic. Everything is so delicious and fresh, the proteins are amazing (huge skewers of perfectly grilled chicken which is what I always get), and large portions that we take home. Really disappointed in the timeliness and the accuracy of fulfilling orders. I put in an online order more than 30 minutes prior to a pick up. I arrived about five minutes after the pick up time and the staff didn't have my order ready and then quickly started to make the order at that time. About 10 minutes later, when they handed me the bag, I'm glad I checked the contents inside because it was missing both sides of falafel and hummus and pita. I let them know that my sides were missing and he brought out a bag of falafels and apologized. I had to tell him again that I am still missing a side of pita and hummus. A solid spot for fast casual medit food. Those sauces are what sets this apart. Homemade garlic-yogurt sauces, that jalapeno cilantro sauce is what's up and added so much to the dishes. The chicken and vegetables was healthy and delicious, and not many places offering fresh vegetables, especially fast casual. The french fries weren't super crispy and could have used more seasoning. I didn't go with the sexy wraps filled with fries, but their plates are pretty healthy and while not cheap, reasonably priced. Overall, some solid eats! read more

Ordered using their kiosk. I got the san diego wrap with carved chicken. It was delicious however I definitely will spend the extra money and get the lamb for protein instead. I been to the Fremont location before and both locations have excellent food preparation. (update) Since I've been here last, they improved their menu and choices, albeit, more pricey (aren't we used to that everywhere and for everything?). They now have white meat chicken breast, kebab chunks. Well, I've been a few times, and here is the result: ======================================= * I got the wrap with that chicken, and all the fixin's: rice, hummus, fries, feta. OMG -- it was so incredibly good with that green cilantro sauce. Whoa! [$21, 5.0 stars] * The kebab plate w/lamb & beef shawarma (carved) with two sides and a bevy of choices -- I went with rice and greek salad. The shawarma was flavorful and spiced, and everything nice -- large portion. All in all -- great -- [$15-20, 4.5 stars]. * Doner sandwich? I've tried twice, and I'm done ordering it and no longer recommend it. Wrapped like a burrito, it's made with a "flatbread" so thin it's like a tortilla. In fact, I presume it is. If so, I'd rather have a burrito! I've tried it with Chicken Kebab (+$1), and carved chicken (it's dark meat), and it was either dry and gristly or not white, which is what I prefer. We were super excited to try this spot because of the reviews but I feel like we've been fooled! I ordered a chicken bowl and my husband ordered lamb and beef. I personally do not eat lamb at all never have never will. But we ended up with two lamb bowls. When we called about the mistake, the person on the phone told us to bring back the incorrect bowl and that they would remake the chicken bowl. When we arrived, the replacement bowl was not made, and the lady was very nosy and strange. She said we were supposed to bring back both bowls because some people eat the bowl to get another bowl???? Her logic did not make sense and I find it really strange to question your customers, as if they are scammers... After they finally remade our chicken bowl, they still made it incorrectly! At this point, we just needed to get home so our baby could eat.... Healthier and more expensive than MMcDonald's. We wanted Mediterranean, which is fast Middle Eastern food anyway. There was a Middle Eastern restaurant near c the Iron Horse Bike Trail near by, but we had good experience with The Kebab shop in the Gaslamp quarter in San Diego so we gave this one a try. Th issue is it's not Middle Eastern--Nick the Greek is more Middle Eastern. It is a wrap shop. The wraps use lavash and there are plenty of lettuce in the wrap. There is supposed to be Greek yogurt and tsakziki sauce--could not see or taste it. The wraps were $15 which is on par with other Middle Eastern places. However, the bottled water cost about $4. There is an industrial fast food vibe to the eatery. The bathrooms were clean and uncluttered, with a hand wash station outside. Would check out other Middle Eastern eateries. read more
