    Pumpkin Curry lunch

We had a delightful lunch here today. Really nice lunch menu which includes soup. The pra ram had a delicious peanut sauce. Our friend loved the combo of fried chicken and pad thai. Service is always good

Left to right: Mango Lemonade, Thai Lemon Tea, Thai Iced Tea

Not the largest spot, but a good space right across the street from the high school. Plenty of space for parking, and they have their own small parking lot. The drinks were very refreshing, especially the mango lemonade. The prices were cheaper than other options in the area, and the portions were larger. Very good food and very filling, but there were a lot of leftovers purely because of how much food they give you. Overall a delightful experience

Just moved to Danville and tried this restaurant. This is our second time in a week. Food is delicious. Avocado salad is so fresh. Sesame dressing is delicious. Chicken satay is excellent. Drunken noodles have a great spice to them. We get vegetarian and love it. If you are feeling like Thai food I highly recommend this place

    Honey Grilled Pork "Moo Yang"

I will always compare Moo Yang to the recipe from Thai House in Modesto, since that is still by far the best I've ever had. The flavor is good but not great. The portions are just really small, I could tell the second they handed the bag over. For $22 you get 4 pieces of pork and idk maybe a quarter cup of sticky rice. I get this isn't Modesto but geez, at least fill me up with rice for that price!

Lotus Thai is a small Thai eatery located near SRV high school in Danville. It only seats about 25. There is street parking and a parking lot on the side of the restaurant. I've only dined in once but have ordered out multiple times. The food is excellent and the portions are fair. We have tried the different curries but almost always get the Larb. Most dishes come with lots of veggies. Service is friendly.

    Papaya salad

Delicious Thai food. Menu with all the classic dishes, executed with perfection. The flavors were good, and very well balanced. The ingredients tasted fresh and vegetables were nice and crisp-not overcooked. We got the papaya salad- EXCELLENT. We also got the chicken basil with minced chicken and over easy egg on top-DELICIOUS! I highly recommend sticky rice with this dish rather than the white jasmine rice. The sticky rice soaks up all the flavors nicely. The subtle sweetness and of the sticky rice also enhances all the vegetables in this dish. It's very good classic Thai food overall. I'd highly recommend this place if you're in Danville.

    A sumptuous pumpkin curry

I tried this establishment, for the first time, today. It was a stellar experience. The interior is fairly bland and, at the time, I was the only seated customer. My company was a bouncy elevator song buzzing through some hidden speakers and a flat screen fixed to an animated cup of tea. I ordered the pumpkin curry with chicken, which I asked for in medium in terms of the spice level. I added a pinch of chili sauce and, together, it made for a perfect tongue strike -- and a nice complement to the plump pieces of potato. The server was amiable and responsive. The phone, both landline and cell, buzzed persistently. This told me two things: 1) This local joint was popular 2) The lack of socialization that was a hallmark of the pandemic has raged on unabated as a large majority continue to favor grab-and-go over the communal experience of eating in a room with neighbors and visitors. I prefer the latter, but I'm clearly in the minority on that!

This was great after hiking in the cold! The curries were really good and tasty! They tasted nice and warm after being in the cold for a long time. They had good portions as well! The fried tofu however was a bit underwhelming as it didn't have much flavor. My friend got a green tea hoping it would be freshly steeped but it was just a tea bag. Overall not a bad experience.

They actually have three (3) locations in the Bay Area; Walnut Creek, Danville, and the location I am reviewing, San Ramon. This particular location opened its doors back in early-2018 and has had very positive feedback up to the present day. Located in an upscale strip mall on the corner of Bollinger Canyon Rd & Alcosta Blvd in the Marketplace Shopping Center in San Ramon, this place is just a few minutes from Highway 680. Parking was fairly easy to find, even during our visit which was on Saturday 8/8/2026 at around 7:15pm. Even though my lady and I didn't make reservations, we were seated immediately even with as busy as it was. The interior dining area is small but offers ample space complete with various booths and tables for small and larger guests. The beige walls with the brown ceilings and hanging lights really gave the overall appearance a cozy yet upscale one. Keep in mind that this place can get loud (mainly during the busy nights and weekends) so if you're looking for a quiet, romantic dining experience, this might not be your best option. As for their menu, they offer a very respectable number of choices. This includes appetizers, soups, salads, noodles, fried rice, curry dishes, and main entrées. Many of the traditional Thai favorites are found here as well as tofu dishes (for the vegans) and seafood dishes (for the pescatarians). As for our entrées, my lady went with their "Pad See Ew" which included pan-fried thick rice noodles with beef (as her protein), Chinese broccoli and eggs in sweet black soy sauce. I went with their "Seafood Hot Plate" which offered prawns, scallops, calamari, fish and mussels with peppercorn, bell pepper, onions, ginger root and basil sauteed in a spicy sweet chili paste sauce. We both split a side of rice and for drinks, I went with a "Thai Iced Tea" while she ordered a diet soda. I will say that for it being a Saturday evening, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! That's a huge plus considering how hungry we both were. As for our dishes, hers was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of sweet, salty, and savory in the noodles, veggies, eggs, and beef. Mine though was a bit on the spicy side. I've had my fair share of Thai dishes over the past few decades, and this seafood hot plate took "hot" to a whole other level of spicy. I also wanted to add that there wasn't a whole abundance of seafood as I found way more bell peppers and onions than anything else. However, service was top notch while the prices were lower than many other Thai restaurants in the Bay Area. All in all, I am giving "Andaman Thai" an above average four-star rating. While her dish was excellent with a decent amount of meat, mine was just average at-best with not enough seafood. This place does have fairly decent hours of operation being open seven days a week from 11am-2:30pm (for lunch) and 5-9pm (for dinner). I definitely see myself returning and possibly checking out their other locations. But for small or large parties, I highly recommend checking them out.

We started with the Papaya Salad, a crunchy, refreshing mixture of shredded papaya, carrots, tomato, and green beans, all tossed in a chili lime dressing, topped with peanuts and served with chopped romaine and kale. One of their special dishes was the Crab Pad Thai Supreme, a rice noodle dish with egg, tofu, bean sprouts, and green onions, stir-fried in a sweet, savory, sticky sauce, topped with lightly spiced lump crab meat. But my favorite dishes were the Kao Soi--made of egg noodles in a coconut curry broth, served with both chicken and beef slices, bean sprouts, red onions, pickled greens, and crunchy egg noodles on top; and the Gai Yang--perfectly spiced and juicy grilled chicken thighs, served with sticky rice, salad, and a sweet dipping sauce on the side. It was our first time ordering from here, so we chose a few familiar dishes. What we ordered: + Spicy green beans - choice of protein was beef. There was a good proportion of veggies to meat. However, it was not spicy at all. + Roti with yellow curry (and small cucumber salad) - the roti was crispy and irresistible, but also quite greasy. + Pad See Ewe with Pork - good flavor with lots of veggies, including broccoli and carrots + Yellow curry with chicken - this was our favorite. Nice curry flavor and good consistency (not too runny, not too thick). It had chunks of potatoes and plenty of chicken. + Cucumber salad (side order) - nicely pickled and slightly sweet with chunks of pineapples and onion slices. Every paired well together. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

There was a slight mishap this time though I made the reservation about three days before Valentine's Day and received a confirmation text. Then the day before Valentine's Day, I got another text saying my reservation was canceled, which definitely threw me off. Thankfully, I called the restaurant and they were able to get everything situated and reinstate my reservation. That was a relief. When we arrived, we were greeted by the hostess who asked if we had a reservation and then directed us to our table. I really liked our table location it felt comfortable and perfect for a date night. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and set the tone for a great evening. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. For drinks, I got a Summer Breeze and my girl had the Tai Chi. For appetizers, we ordered the Lady Fingers which I never had before but were really good. For our main dishes, we had the pineapple fried rice, cashew chicken, and Pad See Ew. I stepped out of my food comfort zone with the cashew chicken and Pad See Ew, but I made the right decision because both dishes were delicious. One unexpected kicker was that they boxed up our leftovers for us, which was a really nice touch and something I appreciated. Overall, this was a great Valentine's Day experience.
