Kind and decently fast service. Though the menu says "Sushi/Nigiri", they only serve nigiri. It was a nice touch that we received dessert on the house, which was a matcha ice cream! 6/5 - Sexy Salmon (back) - Savory and delicious, and the star of our meal. The sear was perfect, and the green onion topping and sauce, along with the small slice portions made this easy and fun to eat. Definitely try this in your first round! 5/5 - Shooting Star (front) - Very savory and delicious! If you like the cajun flavor with the spicy aioli sauce, this won't disappoint. The crunch from the tempura shrimp with the texture profile of the crab and rice makes this a very satisfying roll! 5/5 - Carpaccio - This was actually one of the best carpaccio dishes I had gotten, and I think it is due to the seasoning. You only get one order per person which is typical of other AYCE sushi places, but definitely something to savor! 5/5 - Bluefin Tuna - This is limited to one order per customer, but it was the first time I had eaten a bluefin tuna at an AYCE restaurant that tasted like bluefin tuna from Japan. This is more toro than chutoro/otoro, however it did have that distinct bluefin tuna taste. Impressed! 4/5 - Dynamite - Interesting baked roll dish. Served under a small flame that dies out, it was a very savory, easy-to-eat dish with chopsticks. However, it felt a bit overcooked by the end of the flame, which understandably can be hit-or-miss. Definitely try it out, as this kind of dish is typically rare in AYCE restaurants. 5/5 - Del Rosa and East Highland - These are both the same No Rice Roll just with different wraps. The fish serving was generous and we were impressed! The sauce complemented both perfectly. 4/5 - X-Girlfriend and X-Boyfriend - Pretty much the same No Rice Roll but with different fish. Kind of tastes the same from the other No Rice Rolls so I would just get one order to try it out. 3/5 - O.M.G., Pizza, and SBD Hill - About the same flavor profile with the creamy sauce with the seafood that is placed on top of California rolls. You can probably do with just one of these rolls whichever appeals to you. Of course, it is not exactly the same, but we didn't really care to figure out which was which as we were eating it. 2/5 - Flying Dragon - Was not particularly impressed with this dish. There was a lot of rice served for a thin slice of eel and white fish. The sliced onion was OK, and it did not seem to complement the dish significantly. It seemed more like a separate item placed on top of the roll. 3/5 - Cajun Tuna Nigiri - Decent tuna nigiri. I thought the slices were very thin, so the sear actually went through the whole fish rather than just at the surface which would have made a two-texture profile bite. However, it just seemed dry due to the seared thin slice. 3/5 - Cajun Salmon Nigiri - Same issue with the cajun tuna nigiri. It was seasoned well with the cajun, but the thin slice of the salmon made the sear more of a "cook" rather than a seared surface. 4/5 - Regular Salmon Nigiri - Typical salmon nigiri flavor with regular portion of rice. I think it is beaten out my other AYCE sushi restaurants that are generous with their fish portion and provide minimal rice. 1/5 - Shrimp Boat - This dish was very disappointing. While it is advertised as shrimp with crab meat, our whole group found that it was an overwhelming amount of crab meat and could barely pick out the shrimp. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 1/5 - Lobster Ball - This dish was also disappointing. While it is advertised as lobster with crab meat, we barely found a difference between this and the shrimp boat aside from shape. Even with the pictures, the size was larger than we expected. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 3/5 - Calamari - Huge portions but could have been salted more. Good crunch but I would hesitate on finishing this portion because you might get full! 3/5 - Shrimp Tempura - We ordered 4 orders of this and only received one order (2 pieces). This place needs a deep clean. It used to be the best sushi and now it's just went downhill. Service is very rushed and it's almost uncomfortable. Food you can see in the pictures that the quality is bad. Miso soup so cold. They didn't the mackerel out. Coke was flat. Cups are old and scratched up. Menus are sticky and gross. First time here on November 2, 2025. We had reserved a party of 12 people at 4pm. They were able to accommodate. My sister in law was running late and we had to change the reservation to 4:30pm. Between getting seated, ordering drinks, it was almost 5pm. The staff was friendly and attentive. I did mention that I was allergic to TUNA, so I was given a separate menu to order from. Mind you, we were a party of 12 people total who were already hungry because it was already over an hour from the time we were meeting up at. So there were 2 separate menus, Myself + other menu for 11 PEOPLE. I ordered 3 rolls (24 cut pieces) + 2 - B.S.C.R (4 pieces each). I placed my order, while everyone else was trying to add what they wanted on the other menu selection (11 people). My order comes out. Everyone at the table starts getting 2 pieces here and there. From the total of 32 pieces of sushi, I ended up eating a total of 6 pieces which were tasty. We were all sharing, I was just receiving the food first due to a less amount ordered because of the allergy. My order took longer to receive than it did to vanish because everyone was getting sushi. Mind you, on the ordering menu, there are ONLY 3 columns which means you could ONLY order 3 separate times with the AYCE. The PROBLEM started when I wanted to place a second order for the second time. I wrote down on my menu for a total of 6 rolls (48 cut pieces) and a scallop hand roll (bay scallops). The older lady - YIHEE was on her name tag. She started counting how many pieces of sushi I had written on my menu. She raised her voice and started to like Reprimand me, telling me that it was too much sushi for myself and that I needed to order less because it was only me. I have NEVER experienced such a HUMILIATING & EMBARRASSING moment in my entire life eating at AYCE! Grrrrrrrrrr.... During this time, the other 11 people in my party were barely starting to get their sushi orders delivered to the table. I told her that I was sharing my order, but I had a separate menu due to my allergy. She didn't care, she continued to school me, telling me that I needed to order less. She said that there was no way she was placing that order because it was too much for myself. She gave me back my order so that I could order less rolls. I was PISSED OFF, but I kept telling her that I was also sharing with the group. My group, the 11 people all kept saying that I was sharing with them because they hadn't gotten their sushi. I started to get heated up because everyone at the restaurant started to look at me. I finally stood up and told her that for her to place the order, or did I need to pay first - she said yes, pay now!!! Some other lady staff took my order menu off my hand, and placed the complete order. I was so upset, mad, and angry with the customer service that I received. That older lady - Yihee disappeared from the serving floor. When the other lady placed my order, I received it quickly. I didn't want to eat anymore. I was furious, getting an upset stomach, sweating in anger. Once my food came out, one of the rolls that I had ordered said that the Salmon was seared. All I could taste was like propane gas and not even the seared Salmon. The scallop hand roll was full of rice. Yihee later came out after over 30 minutes, getting everyone refills. Adding to this AWFUL EXPERIENCE, I had ordered an unsweetened ice tea. Usually since it's freshly made, the ice melts quickly. The refill was done, but my ice tea was warm without any ice. She NEVER apologized for her wrong doing. In the end, she did say she could give us free complimentary green tea ice cream - size of a tablespoon each. When the bill came, the other ladies helping out mentioned multiple times that the TIP/GRATUITY was already included and no need to give additional tips. OVERALL: BY FAR THE "WORST, MOST HUMILIATING, & EMBARRASING" MOMENT OF ALL TIME!!! read more

I've been coming here for years with my family. I came a few days ago with my bother and we were treated horribly. We were immediately rushed to a table, all the way in the back, sitting virtually next to another couple all awkwardly. The ladies running the show that day were extremely rude and totally rushed us. The music selection that day was terrible also. The cooks all laughing, just pretty unprofessional.Then the food came and it was extremely disappointing. I got a "crazy hand roll" that was sloppily rolled up like a deformed burrito. The fish to rice ratio was insane, it felt like it was all rice. Then the fish was smelly, not putrid but pretty close to it. Doubt I'll give them another shot. $110 for AYCE for 2 people during lunch. read more

You'll be surprisingly shocked coming here. SERVICE: The staff are VERY ATTENTIVE. They're always walking around picking up empty plates and constantly refilling waters. I think they do a great job at keeping tables clear. I know some may argue they dislike being watched or the staff passing by to ask if we're ready to order... I get it, sometimes you do feel a bit rushed. AMBIANCE: Is pretty basic, nothing special. I don't think it's a spot to wear very formal clothing. Majority of the customers are in casual wear and don't spend too much time here. It is quite small, in summer it is kinda warm. Lots of parking space. I kinda wish this sushi spot was located somewhere a bit nicer. FOOD: OK hear me out!! Yes they have AYCE, as of 2025 for dinner pricing it's $35 per person. It's Cheaper if you come earlier in the day. I've had better quality fish before, Meiga is exceptional. I've been coming since 2021, and here's a list of what taste the best IMO * BLUE FISH TUNA (try it please) * Ceviche Shooters * Any Hand Rolls or Special Rolls * Cajun Salmon & Tuna (the best) * Eel sushi or Nigiri * Few of their baked rolls are good and filling but sometimes they cram cream cheese or imitation crab meat in it. I come here because it's close and it's affordable than other spots. Quality is exceptional. Been here more than 20x's at this point. Living in the IE my whole life I had the understanding that whenever i wanted to eat good sushi I would drive to the OC. I am so happy (and so is my tire thread) that I found a 5 star spot here in the IE. I went on a Saturday and it wasn't that busy. Also there is plenty of parking and also plenty of seating. Everything is so clean and the waiters are so attentive. My waitress (Maureen) was so kind and showed me the ropes of how the AYCE menu worked. Here are some of the things that i would I highly recommend that you get. Cajun Salmon, Tamago, Eels, Spicy Tuna Handroll, Scallops Handroll, Love me Sushi Roll, As a beverage I always get Soju. Maureen recommended me the house Soju which they make there. OMG she was soooo right! I hot their house made Peach Soju. Tasted wat better than the regular Korean brands! Maureen and everyone else always had a smile, when attending to my needs. As i took each sushi bite i couldnt believe how fresh and tasty was everything. We did the all you can eat menu. This is definitely major bang for your buck and the food is delicious unlike most AYCE sushi places where you can see a decline in quality. This place has Escolar, which is great and rare these days. I recommend the escolar sushi. I do not recommend any rolls topped with escolar however. I was there for my mom's birthday lunch and multiple staff members insisted on doing something special for her. We declined twice and gave in on the third try. I'm glad we did it, it was a generous and thoughtful moment. They dimmed the light, brought ice cream and a candle, have her a celebratory head band, and played happy birthday. She had a really good time. Other stand out dishes include the fried calamari and anything with Cajun seasoning. We live far but would definitely go back. read more

I had my 7 month baby with me and they gave him so much attention and love that it made my meal a little easier to enjoy! Some of notable options: * Loved the nigiri. They had smaller rice portions than most sushi I've tried, which I enjoyed as it left more room. The escolar was definitely my favorite, but I loved the squid, shrimp, bluefin tuna, and spicy scallop as well. * Quail Egg & Ceviche Shooters: Delicious but extremely vinegar-y. Each shot was an explosion of flavor. * Baked Mussels: I thought this was the best appetizer, with it being addictively creamy and delicious. Wanted to update because it's still amazing. But my only critique is that the menu (even the normal not the AYCE) isn't accurate on its count for rolls. For example, in my picture you see I ordered two ex girlfriend rolls because it said it only comes with 4 pieces.. but it actually comes with eight, so I ended up getting 16 pieces. It's amazing. Went on Friday night. Service was very bad. There were five of us for AYCE. After the first round, our waitress forgot about us. We were ready to order more but she just avoided passing our table. To top it off, one of the glass of water was so dirty but since she was nowhere to be found, we couldn't address the issue. We didn't get everything that we ordered. After a long wait, we had to tell the girl at the cash register and we finally got service. We were all still hungry. The waitress came back to our table with a very bad attitude and yelled (because she got in trouble). We've been coming to this restaurant for a long time. Won't be back anytime soon. read more

The rolls are so good and the selection is great! My 7yr old always requests Meiga for her birthday or special occasions! Service is good and parking is never an issue.
