All I can say is WOW!!! I stopped by today for Sunday lunch and was immediately greeted by the most welcoming staff! Everyone was so sweet. The restaurant decor is so aesthetic and pretty and honestly they had WAY more seating that I expected!! We got the tonkatsu, chashu ramen, and assorted sushi! The tonkatsu which is a pork cutlet was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Came with katsu sauce and rice and salad. The chashu ramen had such a rich broth, complete with egg, scallions, pork, corn, and broccoli. So good! The highlight was the assorted specialty rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. Presentation was a 10/10 as it was so beautiful!! All the fish was so fresh and tasty I will 100% be back!!!!

We had a wonderful dinner the night before New Years Eve here. The service was excellent, with plenty of great food options. The sushi was fresh, plenty of rolls and sushi specials to choose from. The grilled squid was tender and flavorful. One of the best I've ever had. I love that their menu looks like a picture book. It makes it easier to choose for those who are not familiar with all the options. The highlight of our night was the dessert: deep fried ice cream! Not pictured, because we gobbled it up the minute they brought it out. I'm always so happy to find this unique dessert option in Japanese restaurants, but this restaurant has it in 3 different flavors. Green tea, red bean, and mango. It's a spacious restaurant with a quiet ambiance. They have boots, the traditional Japanese Zashiki seating, and regular tables. I am an out of tower, but hope to return some day!

Mizu Sushi is a new addition to the Coventry neighborhood in Cleveland Heights well known for its Asian cuisine. It currently occupies the former Hunan Coventry that was long standing in the city. I heard a lot of buzz about Mizu in the city's community group, and finally stopped in on one weekend evening when I was especially craving sushi. Is it good? Partially. Is it the best sushi in the city? Far from it. AMBIANCE: If you're familiar with the Coventry neighborhood, you'll find a familiar vibe at this place. Simple eatery decorated with neutral colors, wicker lighting, small sushi bar, and wood shelving. It really seems like a hybrid of Pacific East and One Hot Pot in terms of decor. As far as seating, you'll find comfy booths and tables here for two or for a group. The atmosphere is very casual. I found one aspect of the decor that personally annoyed me - lighting. The lighting was too aggressive and bright in the evening. There is an abundance of overhead bright lights. It took away from my experience. Dim ambiance would create a more relaxing experience. Most guests were families and couples. The restaurant catered well to the families offering to turn on cartoons on the TV. FOOD: You will be presented with three menus upon your arrival - main menu, picture menu of the sushi, and drink menu. The menu at the restaurant does not match the online version in case you are "studying" ahead. The picture menu is very helpful but the numbers in the main menu and picture menu do not match. As a result, it's hard to compare the two and order accordingly. The cuisine is essentially fusion - Japanese dishes and Chinese dishes. There are menu items for all - sushi, sashimi, appetizers, bento boxes, ramen, udon, tempura, teriyaki, and much more. I selected sushi - 13 Green Dragon Roll ($13.45) from the Special Roll menu and 14 Philadelphia Roll ($6.95) from regular Maki and Temaki menu. I also ordered hot green tea to drink ($2.95 for a refillable mug, not served with a teapot). To be very honest, the sushi is bad in more ways than one. The sushi is too dry, the proportions of ingredients are scarce, and the fish does not taste fresh. Green Dragon Roll had so little eel that I had to fork it and check if it's the right roll. There were plenty of cucumbers. Philadelphia Roll had more fish but it tasted like it was sitting out for a while. I ate 8 Green Dragon Tolls and 6 Philadelphia Rolls, didn't find myself full. With confidence I'll say that I had better sushi at the supermarket. The tea was a light green tea variation, not fishy at all. It was a great cup. I was very disappointed in the sushi. Perhaps other menu choices are more impressive. CHARGES: Additional charges apply if you are using a credit card. 3% sub-charge is added to credit cards, no up charge for debit cards. The minimum spend on credit cards is $10. BATHROOM: The bathroom has a very strong scent of bleach and some artificial scent. It was unpleasant to use due to strong smell. SERVICE: Service is excellent! My waiter was very attentive and provided personalized service to every single customer. She turned down the music so that the littlest guests could hear cartoons. She inquired about everyone's happiness levels and was a rockstar! Great service like this is hard to come by. She even asked me if I wanted tea for the road, which was incredibly kind. The rest or the staff like the host were less friendly but still courteous. PARKING: Limited street parking is available. There is a covered city garage available across the street. While the garage is not well lit at night it is currently free to use. I was very impressed with the service at Mizu and not at all with the food. While I don't plan to return, I think it's a good casual family destination. Personally, I much more prefer Pacific East across the street for fresh fish, generous portions, and overall experience. Sadly this restaurant fell short for me.

My sashimi lunch special was excellent. For $18 I got soup and 5 sashimi pieces with some sushi pieces too. Healthy and tasty!

We were greeted by friendly staff, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The sushi was incredible and the presentation was beautiful. We each order a different dessert and they were light and delicious. It was my first time to try red bean ice cream and I was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was so sweet and provided excellent service.

Delicious sushi! My friend and I tried four rolls and one tuna sashimi plate. All of them were wonderful! The restaurant has free parking across the street, and is in good repair. It does seem like they need to clean their grease traps, as there was a smell that usually coincides with that issue.

Went here on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy which was nice. The restaurant has a very upscale but still casual vibe, I'd recommend jeans and a casual or nice shirt. We were seated pretty immediately and the staff brought water really quickly. Should be noted that there seemed to be a bit of confusion as to who was covering which table because two servers came to our table separately. Not an issue just a note from the evening. We ordered a spicy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, and the sakura roll. Starting with the salmon avocado roll, the avocado and salmon were both fresh and good quality. The only bummer was we ran o it of soy sauce immediately, but since there were a lot of tables that were empty we just grabbed another container of soy sauce (funnily enough the people that sat at the soy sauce table we stole ended up stealing another tables). The spicy tuna was good, the tuna was ground up and there was a crunchy thing in the roll (neither of us remember what it was). Again the fish was good and it was a decent piece of sushi. The sakura roll, one of their specialty we got had multiple types of fish wrapped in rice+pink soy paper, with avocado and seaweed salad. The sauce on top made it delicious for me, but my boyfriend wasn't as into it. We ended up getting dessert, the vanilla ice cream tempura. Not the best ice cream tempura I've had but still good, very much has a funnel cake texture. The only reason it's not five stars is because the service was a little shaky, really strong in the beginning but I think they were trying to close down shop early (it was 9:15 and they close at 10:30) and as a result we couldn't get more water and it took us a while to even get a dessert menu. Not a big deal though, would totally go back.

I have been searching for a sushi place that not only is high quality, but worth your money. I see this place just opened, so I decided to try it and oh my goodness ... I finally found the PLACE. I decided to DoorDash and get a few different rolls. All reasonably priced and delicious!! I truly am in awe and so excited to try more rolls!

    Beef and broccoli

Fried rice: tasted like frozen fried rice. For sure made better fried rice at home. Ordered a side order to see how it compares to Japanese east and it doesn't. Prob won't go out of my way to order again. Green dragon roll: super fresh avocado, nice eel taste, definitely not enough fish. Philly roll: nit as good as Japanese east, generous fish portion. I don't think I like their cucumber Spicy crab roll: good. Very comparable to Japanese east. I don't think I like the fried layer tho. I think all rolls need a piece of plastic so the wasabi and ginger does not get on the actual roll. Chicken lo mein: lack luster taste. Soy sauce made up for it. Portion is very generous! Crab Rangoons: I dream abt these. These are on my last meal list. Amazing. As always, service is immaculate and they are amazing.

As long as it tastes warm and comforting, I'll be fine. And even then, the ramen here exceeded my expectations (in the bad direction). I'm not someone who craves ramen that often but this evening was chilly and I was looking for something broth-y. I figured I would give this shop a try. I was seated very quickly and was able to order within minutes. The price for the miso ramen seemed pretty reasonable, and it's my ramen of choice when I do eat it, so I figured I'd give it a try. I knew it wouldn't be a "traditional" bowl as the toppings listed were definitely out of the norm and mentally I was fine with that. I'm open to nontraditional toppings as long as everything tastes good. As soon as I took a bite, I was severely disappointed. The noodles honestly tasted like the type you get out of an instant noodle pack. The broccoli was hard and definitely not cooked all the way. And the soup had a strange taste that I can't quite describe, but definitely isn't normal for ramen. Again, I'm not a ramen snob--I've eaten lots of bowls of ramen at all sorts of restaurants (albeit in LA) and they've all tasted fine to me. But this was actually inedible. I was starving and had to eat something, so I just picked out all of the noodles and some of the corn and honestly left the rest of it in the bowl. I feel a little bad giving this place such a low rating, as the workers were nice enough, and it's not like I got sick, and maybe their other food is much better. But I really can't give this place a higher rating than I'm giving it because it truly was an inedible bowl of ramen. Sorry, Otani.

I think we tried everything but the spicy chicken and beef brisket were the favs of the group. Lots of sides and rice. Nobody left hungry that's for sure lol!! Service was great as well. Our main server was consistently checking on us and getting refills very fast. There were several other servers who stopped by as well. Because of that experience, we came in with high expectations and were really excited. At first, I liked this restaurant for its cleanliness and cute decor. The overall ambiance gave a very pleasant first impression. However, my experience today was quite disappointing. I was not satisfied with the service or the food quality. When the server brought us to our table, she seated us at the front near the entrance by the snack corner. We asked if we could move to a table in the back, but she told us those tables were for non-bbq guests. We were okay with that and stayed. However, shortly after, we saw other parties being seated in the back and eating KBBQ. That felt inconsistent and honestly disappointing. We ordered the yookhwe (beef tartare) bibimbap ($20.95), the Korean beef BBQ combo for two ($119.99), prime rib ($44.95), and makgeolli. Honestly, the portions were lot smaller than I expected for the price. Brisket only came with 6 thick pieces and galbi came with 9 to 12 pieces depending on how you cut them. The last straw was just seeing 10 small pieces of prime rib. As for the taste, it was decent but not the best. The banchan, doenjang jjigae, and steamed egg were good, but the beef was tough and hard to chew. The sauce on the marinated galbi actually hardened like candy after grilling and stuck to my teeth and the plate. We cooked most of our meat ourselves, which we didn't mind, but it seemed like our server was busy with other tables. Overall, I was disappointed and probably won't be back. If you've never had KBBQ, it might still be worth (?) a try considering for the authentic experience, but I don't think the service, portions or quality make it worth the price.

It's primely located on Lorain Ave with a decent amount of street parking around, and usually decently busy at dinner times. The dining room is ample with a view of the open kitchen which provides some level of hope. However, hope diminishes as the time between sitting down and getting the menu to a staff member bringing water or taking your order extends. The menu really isn't too long and the main decision is whether you're feeling a bowl of steaming noodles or a rice bowl, and whether you're hungry enough to indulge in apps like the bao or kimchi balls. The Pork Bao used to be a reliable taster in anticipation of the entree with a more interesting flavor blending sesame, soy and hoisin, but more recently it tastes like someone took leftover pulled pork from a weekend BBQ and slapped it in a rice bun. The Kimchi Balls are nice, with a satisfying crunch to them, but quite heavy if you're getting more than one. Good ramen broth is a labor of love, but it shouldn't take 30+ minutes to receive ramen at a restaurant dedicated to ramen. Even more disappointing is when it's just average ramen, salty without the savory umami kick that an enjoyable bowl delivers. The added egg ($1.50) does come perfectly jammy and the noodles have a comforting chew, but both are cool temperature wise and detract from the heartiness of the noodle bowl. I found myself gulping down water to offset the saltiness of the food, but the staff, though very pleasant, seemed too overwhelmed to come back and refill the water when our flask was empty. Will probably not be returning for the barely average ramen with other good noodle soup options in existence.
