    Beef Bulgogi 소불고기

We went for take out lunch special and the portions, yes it was lunch but they were small and it was a tad on the pricier side. We got really good bulgogi in Alaska and was hoping to find a restaurant that does it really well near us but sadly it wasn't that good. The dish I got with the sushi was yummy and it was nice they did provide all the sides. It is a smaller location but was busy during lunch time.

9/10! Not as good as Miega but definitely a great Korean spot with a very simple menu. Bulgogi was good but not stellar. Seafood pancake ($20!!?!) was not quite cooked crispy but still good. Ban chan was excellent! Soda by the can only. No alcohol like sake or soju. Very small hole in wall place with parking lot in back. Not cheap at all. Octopus salad was delicious. My four items plus can of soda totaled just under $90.

As a Korean, this is my GO TO. The ONLY Korean restaurant in northeast Ohio that reminds me of home. The food taste just like my great grandmother used to make. This is the only place I can go for authentic, home cooked food. They know us at this point, service is always wonderful. The place is small, but worth the wait. Try going during lunch when it's less busy. This is the only Korean restaurant I will go to! The tteokboki is the BEST.

Came to Ha Ahn after my coworkers recommended it as the best Korean restaurant in Cleveland. After experiencing it for myself, I totally agree! Ha Ahn gives big family-owned vibes. It's tucked away in AsiaTown and pretty unassuming. Our server was a hilarious Korean woman who was super accommodating to our larger party and cracked jokes with us the whole time. The food was absolutely delicious and each person in our party had a different favorite dish-- a great testament that there was something for everyone! My personal favorites were the kimchi jjigae and seafood pancake. Their kimchi is to die for and the seafood pancake was fresh, crispy, and packed with seafood. Our bill was reasonable even though we got a lot of food, and our server gave us free yakult at the end of our meal. We're all itching to go back! Highly recommend.

Ha ahn is serving up the most authentic Korean food in Cleveland! I dream about their Galbi Tang with giant beef ribs and a comforting beef bone broth that warms my soul. Served boiling hot with glass noodles eggs and radish! I also love their rotating assortment of banchans! The staff are friendly and care about your meal being set up properly. Our server straightened out my placemat and silverware setting multiple times through the meal and also refilled our banchans. Especially nostalgic is ending the meal with yakult!

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem of Cleveland Asia town! I had been looking for authentic Korean restaurant, and I wished I had found this place sooner! Located inside the shared building with other Asian restaurants, is this very own Ha Ahn restaurant We were greeted by the staff and was seated right away (since the space was quite small, if you go during lunch or dinner rush, expect some wait time, though they also offer takeout) You will be offered a set of Banchan (complimentary side dishes to go with your meal), that I find it so much fun to try out different fermented vegetable as well as kimchi, but my favourite has to be the fish cakes. We have tried Tteokbokki (in a spicy sweet sauce),and homemade steamed dumpling served with soy sauce. Both are great appetizers to share My most favorite dishes would be Galbi (grilled marinated short rib), Spicy pork bulgogi, Bibimbap (ground beef and vegetable rice bowl) and Soft tofu soup. They also offer lunch special which comes with salad, seaweed salad, fried gyoza, and kimchi for a reasonable price. They will give you a cute little bottle of the complimentary sweet probiotic drinks after the meal as well. The food came out in a reasonable time, service was great, the lady who helped us was very nice and helpful. They also offer various sushi menu, which I have to check out in another time. I would recommend this place for anyone who loves Korean food to give it a try. Apparently they have been open for at least 10 years now, I do hope they will be here for at least another 10-20 years.

Place has limited seating but there is booth seating outside of the restaurant if you wanted to wait to get seated. We went during the lunch rush, so we knew it would be a little wait before we get seated. I've been meaning to try this place for some time now and was off on a Monday, so I thought why not! The banchan was delicious. But the soups were even better!! Definitely hit the spot! I don't always order soup when I'm at a Korean restaurant but when I do it's usually the Galbi Tang or Kimchi Jjigae. Unfortunately they ran out of Galbi Tang, so I ordered the Kimchi Jjigae and the Bibimbap. The vegetables were so fresh and crispy. It's the texture I always look for when it comes to bibimbap and the vegetables were so fresh with a lot of flavor. We really enjoyed this dish paired with the option to put as much sauce as we pleased. Really love the presentation of their dishes and was very surprised with their soup. My husband and I have come to the conclusion that their soup has way more flavor than a restaurant we usually go to. This restaurant set the bar pretty high with the flavors they offered with their soup. I only docked off one star because their banchan doesn't come with free refills and they charge if you ask for more. Other than that, service was great and food was phenomenal! We will definitely come back here again to try more dishes on their menu. Would definitely recommend this place!

**1st Experience** Small hole in the wall restaurant. Seated immediately for 2 on a weekday by a nice lady who was the only server. Sushi was OK. The spicy meat was not too spicy & SWEET! She also gave us a complimentary yogurt afterwards. I would come here again if I'm in the area and to try more of their meats (:

Thanks to my Ukranian friend Christina and LAWYER extraordinaire for treating me to dinner this past weekend. I was so surprised. I have such great friends and right now, I pray for the innocent civilians in Ukraine during this unnecessary war by Russia. If you know me then you know that I love all things Asian. Having traveled to China in 2015 and having a best friend from Hong Kong, I will always want to eat Asian food. I've had Korean food before but not often. I've had Ha Ahn Korean Restaurant bookmarked here on Yelp for a long time so I'm happy that my friend and I visited this past Saturday, 5 March 2022. LOCATION -- The location is somewhat hidden in the Asian town region of downtown Cleveland so I may not have found it unless I was looking for it. DECOR/ATMOSPHERE/SERVICE -- Warm and inviting. There are some cute traditional Korean clothing on the wall which adds a nice touch. It is a very small restaurant or "hole in the wall" as Americans may say but does size really matter? Of course not because the FOOD is what matters. Interestingly enough, the menu is quite large besides the small restaurant size. FOOD -- For starters (appetizer), we got the steamed dumplings ($13.95) which are 6 pieces filled with pork and chives. Honestly, I try not to eat pork and beef but these dumplings were delicious. For the main course, I ordered the Beef Bulgogi ($18.95) and my friend ordered the Galbi ($23.95). Both dishes came with a side of rice. The Galbi is also beef but it is short ribs whereas the beef bulgogi is strips of beef. Although I forgot to taste the Galbi that my friend ordered, I may order that next time when I visit Ha Ahn again just because the beef bulgogi wasn't as good as I expected. I've had better tasting beef and this bulgogi beef wasn't as tender. The vegetables that came with the beef bulgogi (carrots and green beans) were delicious. I got mine ordered without onions. The Galbi looked appetizing and my friend enjoyed her meal. SIDE DISHES -- The 5 side dishes that came with the meal were dry and not as fresh. I specifically remember the greens (bok-choy?) and kimichi looking a bit off and when I tried them, it didn't taste as fresh. Overall, I really want to come back and try other dishes here. I thought the food was definitely decent. Supporting small local businesses is something I enjoy doing being an immigrant who lived in 2 countries before coming to USA. I have always loved Asian food and Korean food is what I want to eat more of. **** - 12/150 total reviews in 2022 - 490 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 7 March 2022

    Seafood Pancake

Coming from the Bay Area to Cleveland, I didn't expect much from any Asian food restaurant. I decided to come here because of the other restaurant, Superior Pho, but also came here to get some food as well! Seafood Pancake- Not crunchy and falling apart. The flavors were okay, but it wasn't anything unique or special. I have definitely had much better. The seafood in it, I must say was pretty tender and delicious! However, the texture of the soft seafood and the soft pancake, wasn't the best combination. Spicy Seafood Soft Tofu Soup- Not so spicy. It had a bit of a powdery generic flavor that I can't quite place my finger on. The tofu and seafood was pretty good, but the soup was a little disappointing. Overall, I wouldn't come here again.

I am a pretty big skeptic when it comes to Korean food in the Midwest part of United States, but this place was actually surprisingly good. - Seafood Pancake - The best part of this dish is that they serve it in a pizza box, haha. The sauce is spot on and so is the flavor of the pancake itself. I really appreciate how much seafood they put in each bite. Some places of the pancake seems almost undercooked but other places are pretty crispy. - Soft Tofu Soup - I think this dish is actually fairly accurate to what you would expect from soft tofu, but I will say that it is on the slightly soupier side. - Banchan (Side Dishes) - Although the main dishes were great, the side dishes were just okay. The bean sprouts was definitely the best part. The kimchi didn't have a lot of flavor and the fish cakes had a very soft and loose consistency to it. It was a little weird. Also the potato salad was kind of weird too. Overall, not bad Korean food although I would skip the banchans. Would recommend the seafood pancake and the soft tofu and will definitely come back again for more.

This is a very small, hole in the wall restaurant in a hidden away lot in downtown Cleveland. Because it's so tiny and without many staff, they don't have a lot of seating and the service is very slow. I came with a friend at around 6PM on a Monday, waited 30 minutes to be seated, ordered after we could flag down the server after 10, and waited over 30 for our food to come out. The food itself was tasty! We got 5 small banchan sides (sukjunamul/seasoned bean sprouts, sigeumchi muchim/seasoned spinach, Kkakdugi/radish kimchi, baechu kimchi/cabbage kimchi, and dubu buchim/fried tofu) that were tasty but you don't get free refills after. After your meal everyone also gets a complimentary Yakult which is always fun! I think overall though this restaurant has authentic Korean food, it's expensive and the service isn't great. Might come back if I'm craving korean! Soft tofu soup 4/5 They were out of kimchi jjigae so we settled on this, and found it satisfying. We had the seafood version which just included clams. It came out in the classic little clay pot, was hot and a little spicy. Nothing too special but still tasty! Hoedupbap 4/5 We had this with the classic yangnyeomchojang sauce. The fish wasn't the freshest but was still yummy! All the textures from the different crunchy fresh veggies were so fun to eat. Definitely not a dish I see often so I was happy to see it here!

Since I first moved here, this has consistently been my local go-to in Cleveland's Asiatown for tasty, authentic Korean food. I almost always get the Hot Stone Bibimbap-- make sure you really thoroughly stir up that artfully assembled bowl when it comes out for a well-distributed combination of savory meat and sautéed veggies with crispy, ever so slightly burnt rice in the spicy ssamjang sauce~ My only complaint is that they don't provide the standard sesame oil that you can drizzle on top for that extra added kick of umami. If by chance your heart isn't set on the delicious bibimbap, you also can't go wrong with any of the other classic dishes like Galbi Tang (short rib soup), Soondubu (spicy soft tofu soup) or Osam Bulgogi (spicy squid and pork if you like your bulgogi with a kick) They recently added a new banchan dish, myulchi bokkeum (stir-fried anchovies with sliced almonds), personally my fave and so addicting to munch on. You can ask for unlimited banchan refills and they provide a complimentary Yakult-style yogurt drink at the end, which is a nice nostalgic touch from my childhood that I always look forward to for finishing off meals at Ha Ahn.

Sushi En is pretty casual, so you don't have to worry about being under dressed, which is a nice option for places in this area. In addition, the prices are very reasonable. Given their location, they could easily charge more, so I really appreciate the fact that they don't. My go-to is the California combo, a traditional Cali roll, a spicy Cali roll, plus soup or salad. If I am really hungry, I'll order one California roll plus a Chicken Hibachi Bowl. If you are more adventurous when it comes to your meals, go with the Drunken Tiger roll. Their edamame is also very good. I typically make reservations, but anytime I'm there, people always seem to be walking in and getting seated without a long wait. Sushi En is my favorite spot in this area. You will not be disappointed!

I had to add more to my parking because I already saw how slow the service was but we felt bad leaving. There was a party that came in after us and didn't get any menus or greeted or anything for about 15-20 minutes so they left. Another party came and sat, ordered but then left as soon as the salads came out (I overheard something about the orders being wrong but still I felt bad the food was wasted). After the initial wait (where we bussed our own menus, dishes and napkins) everything else actually finished in an appropriate time period where the whole dinner took about 1.5 hours. I tried the beef bulgogi, seafood stir fry, soft shell crab app and the calamari app. The calamari was pretty frozen tasting, the bimbimbap wasn't very good due to the strange ground chicken, the bulgogi was actually decent but came with two raw baby carrots (old and wrinkled) and raw broccoli which was odd. We had to ask for sauce for the poke and it basically was a salad with raw fish on top... not super impressed overall especially since we have to pay for parking. Seafood stir fry barely had any seafood and the noodles/sauce tasted packaged. This place is attached to the theater so it's easy for people heading to see a show but other wise I'd avoid this place. Only redeeming quality is that the owner (I think?) was very sweet. The best dish we got was the soft shell crab but even then there wasn't a lot of it.

Where else can you get all-you-can-eat sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi, and other appetizers for under 30 bucks? I went here for dinner, and for $28.99, I got a whole lot of sashimi, sushi rolls, hibachi scallops, shumai, strawberry ice cream, etc. Everything was delicious. The sashimi tasted great, and the sushi rolls were filling, though thankfully, Kintaro doesn't go too heavy on the rice. I thought the hibachi scallops were better than a lot of non-AYCE hibachi restaurants. They were tender and flavorful, and if I wasn't absolutely stuffed from the sashimi and sushi, I would have gotten another order of scallops. Like always, the service was great, and the staff was friendly. Our server frequently checked up on us and refilled our waters. Everything tasted fine, so we just assumed it was a communication issue. So we came back, this time it had a quarter of the menu and the quality took a sharp dive. Pretty amazing since it had been less than a week. Most of the menu was missing, our waiter seemed clueless, nice but clueless. I've never been to a hotpot that didn't have quail eggs all day. All the grill meat came out frozen, the cuts were thin and bad. The green peppers tasted like the blade that cut them, dry and metallic. I don't know that was way too wild a swing in quality we won't be back. We can't win with hotpot in Ohio it seems, for how much hotpot is in the US, I expect better than this. Kpot is still the worst but this last time at Kintaro is up there. Guess I'm looking for another hotpot place.
