    Galbitang 갈비탕 and eggs
    Blanche K.

Came here on a snowy day in December and was craving hot soup. Of course I ordered the galbitang!! The galbitang is packed with a thick cut of short rib that they cut table side. As well as loaded with egg ribbons, onions, scallions, and glass noodles. I thought the soup was a little too heavily salted and lacking in sweetness as it did not have any daikon, but otherwise very flavorful and umami, 4/5. The steamed egg was overcooked and a bit chewy rather than soft and fluffy unfortunately, 2/5. The banchan were all delicious 5/5. My husband got the doenjang jiggae which he enjoyed! Will be back to try their kbbq!

Took my very picky parents here for lunch and they ended up loving it. All 3 of us got the bento box lunch in varieties: pork bugolgi, bugolgi, galbi. I thought the quality and presentation were great. However, I thought the portions were skimpy. The meat and salad portions could have been a bit bigger. I loved the veggie fried mandu dumplings and the fish tofu marinated strips. I don't like kimchi nor the sour preserved turnips so I gave them all to my mom who loved them. I'd rather they be different bonchon like bean sprouts, tofu, or sliced potatoes. I wish it could've come with a small soup as well to balance everything out. There were only 2 other tables and the server, while nice, would disappear for long stretches of time and not check in on us. I had to walk around looking for her to ask about things. I grabbed to-go containers on my own for my table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is really nice and converted from a Japanese hibachi place that used to be here. The decor, the tables, the TV screens featuring popular dishes and Korean food travel clips were appropriate and fun to watch while waiting for food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a small market with Korean snacks and soju to buy. No prices for anything though! I had to ask the server who had a little trouble finding the individual items on her scanner. Turns out the snacks only had a nominal upcharge from CAM or Park to Shop so I bought those amazing honey twists too! My parents are already scheming to come back here and try bibimbap and tofu stew!

Great food, would totally eat here again. Such great service as well. All the side items that came along with our meal really filled everything out. The Katsu was excellent as well as the shrimp tempura.

I recently discovered my love for Korean cuisine so I was excited to try this place out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went for an early dinner on Saturday and almost had the place to ourselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gimmari tempura appetizer was delicious and came with 3 dipping sauces. Loved the fun texture of that dish. We also really enjoyed the dolsot bibimbap. I was not a fan of the yukgaejang which was unfortunate but I think that's likely just my personal preference.

Good spice level and fast service. The ban Chan was nice (I'm a big fan of fish cake in general!) and the soondubu had good flavor. I was a bit disappointed by the pajeon being a bit eggy and not crispy enough for my taste. Perhaps my fault for not going to kbbq route which looked like a lot of fun. Check it out for a nice Korean meal, easy parking!

Update: never disappointed when I come. So delicious!!! Sometimes the dishes aren't as good as they last were which is the only downside. But then I come back again and it's even more delicious that is my only critique- the inconsistency of the some of the dishes when we come back to eat on a different occasion. But I'm aware of how hard staffing is and restaurant business is hard so I'm not going to dock points just because of that. I'm not a big drinker but my friends were raving about their drinks deliciousness! Thank you Gogi En K BBQ for your hospitality and delicious food!

This place was amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean and spacious with great service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ate my weight in food and I'm never able to do that anywhere else, it was all just so delicious. I will be back again with friends!

We came to Akron for a quick overnight visit and decided to grab some authentic Korean food nearby. We found this new restaurant in Solon. Friendly staff and service. There's plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall area. Reservations are recommended if you want BBQ. If you're only getting non-BBQ, there is a different seating section for that. The food is made to order and delicious. For a place with no Korean groceries nearby, I was impressed with the flavors of our meal. It isn't quite NYC Koreatown or the DMV area level or even SKorea. It still hits the spot & is full-bodied flavorful when you're surrounded by burgers, pasta, and pizza. It's definitely a positive addition to the area!

Just plain good. Had the ala carte bbq with brisket, chicken and spicy pork. Lots of food. Ban Chan was limited to four dishes but they were all very good. Refills on request. Also received a miso type soup that was very good. Seafood pancake was good but a little pricey. I would definitely go back. Great service from a super friendly staff.

Gogi was enjoyable, but not the best Korean I've had in Cleveland. Actually it was probably my least favorite? But not because it tasted bad! Everything was well cooked and the service was great and the building/decor is pleasant. I would definitely go back, hence the high rating despite not being an immediate favorite It just did not have enough of that.... Korean flavor OOMPH for me. One thing I do specifically wish is that their stews were not so water-y

Food was good but I did not think that the wait staff were kind or friendly. Even though the food was good, I don't think I'd come back.

I wanted to get the brisket but they do it up charge so I decided to try a red bone instead that was one of my disappointments. It's not as flavorful and seasoned as the rest of the proteins so instead of paying two dollars for a ribbon I should've just got the brisket The green beans are pretty good I'm surprisingly but mac & cheese is decent too. My other slight disappointment is the variety of barbecue sauces but I think that comes down to a preference thing I like mine is more tan than sweet so I'm usually a Carolina barbecue sauce girl they didn't have that but they did have more tangy vinegar sauce, but it's very thin . I also like that they do a hero discount because I am a firefighter so it's nice to be acknowledged . Overall, I would definitely come back here.

The brisket was very dry and looks and tastes old. Portions were small despite the brisket costing extra. You get 4 small slices Sitting inside you get to listen to a very loud and annoying beeping everytime they use the microwave. Which is every meal. Half the pasta in the macncheese wasnt cooked. The tea tasted mouldy. Their "texas toast" is just a barely toasted hamburger bun. Their sauces werepretty good and there was a decenr variety. I would not eat here again and cant recommend it! Some of the worst food I have eaten in a very long time. I ended up throwing most of it out, and I never through away restaurant food. I am not rich and cant afford to but this food was foul.

I do not recall being a previous customer at this chain, but my husband chose this particular location for lunch. We got chicken, ribs, potato salad, corn pudding, and Texas toast. The serving size was pretty large--enough for two people. The flavors were pretty good.

Dinner's on me." Best call I made all day. The food was outstanding, but the experience is what sets this place apart. From the moment we walked in, the staff -- especially Mama at the register -- brought an energy and warmth that made you feel completely at home. Everyone was respectful, attentive, and genuinely kind. On Tuesdays, rib bones are $1.98 each -- an incredible value. The sides are à la carte and very reasonably priced. I requested my sauces on the side and tried three different flavors; every single one delivered. I'm particular about my food and never hesitate to send something back if it doesn't meet the mark. This night? Not a single complaint. Rating: 5 out of 5. I will be returning -- without question.

We had a brisket sandwich, two of their burgers, a polish boy, fries, onion rings, and their bbq sundae. Safe to say their food is some of the best BBQ I've ever had the opportunity to try. The seasoning, temperature, and flavor were all on point. These people know what they're doing in the kitchen. The bad: Notice how I said they know what they're doing in the kitchen. In terms of customer service, it was a different story. They make it extremely hard for you to obtain a reservation and they are mostly full when they do decide to open. I had been trying to get a reservation at this place or even order online for weeks now and I could not manage to. I called every time I wanted to at least order some food to go and the phone went to voicemail every single time. Apple Maps has hours posted, as well as google and yelp, however none of them are consistent. They seem to open whenever they please and make the customer feel like they have to hunt for them, like the customer needs their brisket more than they need your money (it is a business, after all.) The ugly; I have managed to sit and eat at this place a total of two times out of an attempted estimated 15. When I picked up food, they said they replaced my mashed potatoes with fries because they did not have mashed potatoes. It was not the end of the night. The second time they were out of their mushroom Swiss burger for some reason. Lastly, their food is NOT cheap at all. One sandwich and fries costs $25-40. Their taste delivers and justifies such an expensive price point however the journey to get the dish you want from them in front of you is a horrible experience.
