The pizza is pretty good. Nice crispy crust with no flop. The only improvement could be on the sauce. The service was quick and the food came fast. Overall, a great option. Best pizza in the area.

Charming and delicious pizza shop in Lakeville. Friendly and attentive service with little wait time for food. I had the eggplant parm grinder and was impressed by the soft and fluffy bread, and perfectly breaded eggplant. Definitely one of the best grinders I have ever had. Friends got the pizza and were equally impressed. You should definitely stop by!

I went on a warm day with friends and sat at the bar. It was a little too crowded. The seats are close together. I loved how the fire house doors were open and you can see outside. As a gardener I did notice that the hydrangeas bushes were not taken care of. I do think things like that matter in a business. I was a little disappointed with the service. I did have to ask for a menu and I also had to get the bartenders attention to place an order. I got fries and pizza and they were both really good. I loved how small they cut the slices and how there was rosemary on top of the fries. My mocktail was also delicious!

It honestly takes a really good pizza from a 8/10 to a 5/10. The mozzarella has that block quality with a little bounce and squeak to the cheese rather than a creamy pull. That's my only complaint. The sauce is nice as well as the toppings and the dough. Crust is thin with a little sag, it's not new haven pizza, no char and not a lot of crunch or blistering. Most items are well portioned and enough to share between at least 2 people if sampling. Caesar salad is enough to share between 2 people if you want to sample the menu. Great lettuce quality and better than most restaurants. It's not the bagged precut garbage with all stalks. They use little gem variety. Fries are shoestring and oh so delicious to snack on. Not an insult, but if you like McDonald's fries, these are even better. IYKYK Meatballs were ok, nothing super special. Nice texture, but not dry. Doesn't really have a fresh flavor. The meat flavor reminded me of a mass produced meatloaf from a diner. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but for someone with a very refined palate, I think it needs a little "life" mixed in. The sauce helps that a bit. Cocktails were nicely done. You could taste all the flavors listed in the cocktail. Not overly strong and not weak. Definitely would come back to sample more food. For you native CT and Lakeville natives, be prepared to pay NY prices...

In life, things change. People come and go. Times are different. Outlooks and perspectives are seen from new and unanticipated angles. But feelings always remain. I took my son to dinner last night prior to his departure back to college. The smiles, the warmth, the connection, the feeling of "home" exceeded my expectations after being nervous about being away so long. Were there new faces? Yes. Did I miss some of my friends who are either no longer there, off that night, or attending to other family business? Deeply. The menu is still the standard in the area for a nicer lunch or night out. You can go as accessible as a burger, enjoy a well constructed special, or enjoy really good sushi in Northwestern CT. Everything you may be looking for to meet even the most persnickety pallet or dietary need. Come in jeans. Come in a suit. All the same once inside. Do recipes change? Yes. Does my mind have a tendency to long for the old? Sure does. But The Boathouse, and the people who make it special will always keep me coming back - It feels like "home".

The calamari came with ranch, and tasted rubbery and the baby back ribs were ok, a little dry. The lighting was poor and i saw many couples using flashlights to read the menu. Our server seemed nice, but he never refilled our drinks and rarely talked. Just when i thought the reaturaunt couldn't get any worse i walk into the bathroom with my 7 year old brother to find a naked woman hanging on the wall. Overall a 2/10 experience, would not go again.

I'm an Asian-American in hospitality. Eyebrows were raised. But guess what? I was humbled by this restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We had the truffle fries (thin and crispy fries), a sashimi special (most likely hamachi if I'm remembering correctly), skirt steak with Vietnamese-style herbs and potatoes, and the mozzarella ravioli with corn and mushrooms. Everything was fantastic, but I would have loved a light fish sauce dressing on the herbs. Dinner gets busy. Thursday night and every table was full. Sat at the bar and even that was completely full. Interesting crowd though. The older ladies next to me (meeting for the first time) were discussing conservative politics while a younger woman was explaining to another why she's obsessed with anything and everything French. Some diners seemed to be regulars, so that's nice to see in an area like this. The key lime pie was top tier. But by then I had several drinks and had the meat sweats. So worth it.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class. Now yelp is promoting "Yelp Assistant" even though it's Ai. Gtfo here lmao

Our server was very nice but there was some confusion about our beer order. My husband told her what he wanted, but then told her he wanted it with his meal. She said it was ordered already (goes directly from her portal to the bartender) so it is probably on the bar waiting for her. She brought it to us right away because she didn't want it to get warm on the bar, but then it sat outside and got warm while we waited an extraordinarily long time for our meal. I know that the website says everything is made to order and takes a while but this seemed like way too long. Then when it arrived the lasagne that my husband had was very dark on top as if it was burned - like it had been reheated under a burner. My eggplant lasagne was delicious. No complaints there. And our Siberatas salad was very good. I would like to go back and give it another try since everyone else seems to have a good experience.
