Her name was mentioned several times all with great things to say so I scheduled the same day to find all the reviews were true. Highly recommend you book with her if visiting this location! Nina was friendly, informative, so kind, funny and overall professional. She took great care to ensure I was happy with my service. Really important to share that the waxers at EWC locations have a limited window of time to help you so it's important you show up on time so they have all that time to help you instead of doing a fast job to stay in that window. Rooms are very bright and they ask you to undress while the waxer is in the room. Not sure if this is for me as my esthetician's space has a light dimmer and she also provides privacy and a cover for you to use so you're not completely naked on your bottom half. She then uses those glasses with lights to do her job. Plays soothing music. Whole 9 yards. She also charges significantly less than this place. She charges me $45. EWC charges $70! She can't be beat especially when she books out an hour for your Brazilian vs the 15 minutes waxers get here. After my first appointment, I intentionally started booking with other estheticians at this location, and those experiences were excellent. I never had any issues with pain or my skin. This time, I didn't realize I had been assigned to Emillee again. During the waxing, I repeatedly asked her to be gentler because the pain was unbearable, but she continued anyway. The experience was extremely painful, and afterward my skin developed blisters. I've had waxing done many times before, including by other staff at this location, and I've never experienced anything like this. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly commented that I had darker skin and darker hair. Those comments made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. I also noticed her adding something to the wax during the appointment, although I wasn't told what it was. In addition, wax was spilled on both the floor and the table, making the entire appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional. During the service, I told her how much pain I was in and warned that I would consider taking legal action if my skin was injured because I felt my concerns were being ignored. Despite that, the service continued without any noticeable adjustment. Overall, this was one of the worst waxing experiences I've ever had. Crystal worked on my skin, while Stephanie worked on my mother's. I have very acne-prone skin, so Crystal did gentle hydro exfoliation and extractions around my nose & troubled areas before putting a rose hydrojelly mask on my skin to calm it down. Normally, extractions bring me to tears. It genuinely gets so horrible for me that if there's a tissue put above my eyes, it will become wet. However, Crystal applied minimal pressure and at the end, I was impressed that she got out all of my blackheads and whiteheads without me feeling as much pain as I had in other locations! Crystal told me that their products are based in fruit enzymes (cherries, pumpkins, apple, etc). I can't speak for my mother who received an anti-aging facial, but I can say that she fell asleep mid-facial because it was just that relaxing!
