I booked MK Cleaners because of all the wonderful reviews and sadly had a very bad experience. I called and spoke with Maico to get an estimate to clean an empty house with a specific request to focus on cabinets/ windows/ molding/ door frames/ fridge. We are redecorating and so the house was empty and had been cleaned by our regular cleaner the week before. When I went to the house after the cleaning to check, none of the specifics I had requested had been cleaned. The house smelled like a cleaning product, and perhaps they did some cleaning - but not what I had requested. My partner and I then proceeded to do all the cleaning we had specifically requested at the time of booking. Very frustrating experience. read more

I hired MK cleaning service to do a deep clean and paid extra to clean out my window sills. The scheduling process was very easy. However the actual cleaning left alot to be desired. Two ladies came to my house but only one did any real cleaning. The other lady just moved dirt around. I had to ask her four times to reclean. I ended up calling Maico but he just told me to ask them to reclean and do an inspection. I explained to him that I was on crutches and I couldn't walk behind them very five minutes. I expected them to be professionals and not require my constant watching. If I was physically capable of constantly walking around I could clean it myself. When they left not one baseboard was clean and the floors were dirty. I let them go and told Maico I was unhappy and would prefer a different person fix it. He refused, saying it would cost him too much money but did provide me a discount. He kept saying I received a general cleaning and they had to clean out my windows. I told him, so what!!! I paid for the extra and I asked for a deep cleaning. It's ridiculous how many excuses he made. I paid the agreed discounted price but I wouldn't use this service again. read more

Hello All, I am rating this as a 4 for two main reasons. With a little smarter setup and a little better attention to detail (the first time) this place should get only 5 star ratings. First, the booking process and getting cleaners is excellent. The guy is very responsive and they surprisingly had the flexibility initially to schedule me on Sunday after another cleaner backed out a few days before. Unfortunately, they are fairly busy when you get really close. We were able to have our movers pack and move out everything on Friday and unfortunately they weren't able to move up the cleaning to Saturday from Sunday (this isn't any reason for a star dock and wasn't in my review). Now keep in mind as I mentioned this is a MOVE OUT cleaning. That means I am turning over the keys right after I have the people clean. My previous move out/move in cleaning was a disaster, they were terrible (you can find the review in my profile I believe). MK Cleaning on the other hand did a very good job on almost everything. They however did miss a couple very easy to spot issues including the backsplash of the kitchen sink (which is pretty much in-excusable) and a wall in the kitchen that had food stuck to it. However, everything else including the walls in the rest of the house, the floors and bathrooms and all the cupboards were very nicely cleaned and the landlord was very happy with the job. I had to clean for about 10 minutes to fix the missed issues, not too bad. They offered to come back but this is where I was a little annoyed. I had asked them to wait or let me know if they were done early so I could come by and inspect the property (we were staying in a hotel nearby) and also give the workers a tip for the good job. Instead I get there and they are all gone. Yes it's Sunday but at least give me a chance to meet you/the cleaners in person. The last thing that didn't make quite as much sense, is the payment. He was pretty consistent about wanting to be paid via paypal or another similar service. I don't pay that way via phone apps and such so I need to pay via a credit card or cash etc. The only way I could pay him via paypal was via my computer. He kept asking for payment each day until I finally was able to use my computer at my new place with the new internet service. This is a move out clean, it didn't make any sense if he's so worried about being paid that he didn't ask for pre-payment. Overall though, a good service, I would definitely recommend going with them but make sure you can be present when they are done and don't let them leave until it's clean to your expectations. They were also very reasonable priced as some here mentioned. read more

I hired MK Cleaning to clean my apartment's oven and shower walls as I moved out of my apartment. The ladies were very fast at what they did and their work product was exactly what I was looking for. However, I docked one star because they arrived 2.5 hours after I had scheduled them to arrive. I live in an apartment complex that requires me to let them into my unit, so I had to wait around for hours. MK handles communication almost solely through text messaging and are very responsive; they kept me pretty up-to-date on the status of their cleaners while I waited; apparently they had a tough job before mine. The ladies who arrived spoke almost no English which was not a big deal, but thankfully I speak some Spanish so was able to tell them exactly what I needed done. I had to scrub a bit of remaining gunk off my oven's racks after the ladies were done and left, but overall, the experience was pretty good. I couldn't have been more pleased with this cleaning service! Receiving a quote and setting up an appointment was easy and fast. The cleaners arrived promptly at 8am and quickly and very effectively cleaned our 3 story townhouse. This is a rental property that has been through many young tenants & shows that wear and tear. I have used MK cleaning 3 times and each experience has been phenomenal. The first and second time were deep cleans of empty apartments (move in, move out) and this third time was a deep clean of my furnished home. When I walked through the door after work, I was shocked at how amazing my home looked. Everything, and I mean everything, was sparkling clean. The most notable part of my home was the bathroom. I had cleaned the tub multiple times, but MK cleaning got the tub the cleanest I have ever seen. When I took a shower I was actually sad about messing up the spotless surfaces! I would highly recommend MK cleaning. Maico is always very responsive, polite, and courteous. He even checked in with me the night of my scheduled cleaning to ask how it was and to "please let him know if I was unhappy about anything." Stellar personal service. The booking process was easy, but the actual cleaning results were lackluster. In their defense, they did offer to come back to redo the cleaning after I sent them pictures of the results, but that is not acceptable in my opinion. You do a job right the first time. The task at hand was to clean a basement apartment that had been rented for two years. There is no doubt the apartment was dirty and the tenants hadn't properly cleaned in months. However, I explained the apartment condition upfront and requested a deep cleaning. Instead, the results left me with a stove and refrigerator that still needed cleaning; dusty baseboards; untouched vents; and dull floors. I basically think they just wiped the place down with "wipes." When I pay for cleaning, I expect them to do a better job than I would myself. Anything else is a total waste of money. That is how I would characterize the services provided by this vendor: a waste of money. So my advice? Go elsewhere. read more

I've recently hired Maico to clean a furnished rental property of mine. He and his team have been several times and do an outstanding job. They are available on short notice. They are very efficient. They follow some pretty detailed instructions provided on the first visit (folding the towels just so, organizing the cupboards each time, arranging the bed and furniture pillows just as I requested). And perhaps best of all, Maico pays attention to everything and notifies me of anything that needs to be addressed (slow drains, broken window blind, etc) which is a huge help to me.
