I used this company once before for a move out clean and they were amazing so of course I wanted to use them when I moved to my new home for my move in clean. I asked for an estimate and was quoted $450 which seemed high but given the size of my place I could slightly understand the price. My place is newly remodeled and only one side was lived in for a month before I purchased so it wasn't really dirty. When I went to book I was then told $500 for the size of the house however mostly everything was new (flooring, kitchen, bathrooms). A painter was painting three bedrooms so I was able to get the price down to $465 but that still was too high in my opinion. The workers were good and finished in two hours but I'm sure that's the easiest $465 they ever made. I likely won't use this company again sadly. read more

Overall, an ok cleaning service. We had scheduled a move in clean. It was relatively easy to schedule, etc. and the cleaners were nice enough; however, they appeared to miss things unless I had explicitly told them to clean it. They completed a townhome in about 2 hours but appeared to miss spots. There were 2 cleaners that came. I recently had a tenant move out who had a dog so I wanted to pay extra for a "deep clean". $175 later I have a basement apartment that was cleaned worse than the service I normally paid $70 for. We paid extra to keep the apartment an additional day since the service we requested was not available on the day we wanted, just to end up with no service at all. I had a very disappointed experience for move-in cleaning with MK Cleaning. I ended up re-cleaning kitchen (e.g. stove, microwave, oven, refrigerator) and all bathrooms (e.g. toilets, tubs, shower) myself. It is obvious that they did not clean some of the items, which are key items to clean in a move-in cleaning. Michael was very responsive, but he did not believe me even with evidence pictures. He insisted that his people have cleaned everything, and refused to come and check in person. If you have some requirements for cleaning and cannot be present when they are cleaning, I would suggest you do not use their service as their definition of "clean" can be very different from yours. read more

I really liked working with MK Cleaning. I reached out to about ten cleaning companies for quotes to clean my 1,600 square foot, 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home before we moved into it. It was $200 and their quote came in quickly and $75 below the next best quote so I went with them. The owner was really easy to communicate with over text and the cleaners arrived on time and worked very diligently and got the house looking amazing. I was so impressed with their work I hired them to clean the condo we were moving out of too. That was a 700 square foot 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and they did it for $140. They did great work and again showed up when they said they would and were really thorough. It was very easy to set up the appointment via Yelp and text messages and they were able to accommodate me at the date and time I wanted a week away. Had a move in cleaning for my house. Communication was good and cleaners we're nice and showed up on time, but didn't do a great job. Superficial job, essentially barely a wipe down. They missed a few windows, missed our matter bathroom countertop, we had to re-clean all of our bathrooms, kitchen cabinets still had grime in them so had to re-clean those as well. My shoes were still sticking to the ground in some areas. Not worth the money for a move in clean, would have rather paid more to get a better job. read more

I just moved out of my 3 bedroom apartment and requested a move out clean. I have 3 boys (teenage ones ), 2 dogs, and a cat and after attempting to clean it myself, I gave up. You can imagine how gross their bathroom was. MK cleaning gave me a quote well under the other quotes I received and was able to come by before I had to go to work. They showed up and got right down to business right away and I left them to head to work. When I came to look at the apartment, i was surprised how clean everything looked! I recently hired Maico for a deep cleaning of my row house and was very disappointed. After doing significant research, reading such great reviews, and letting Maico and his team know exactly what I was looking for (deep, detailed cleaning with special attention to baseboards and woodwork), I was anticipating a better experience. The kitchen and bathrooms looked mostly clean (missed a few obvious dusty or hard-to-reach spots) and the bedrooms looked decent (again, missed some dusty shelving units and some very obvious spots like the perimeter of the bed) but the common spaces (living room, dining room, foyer, staircase, hallways, etc). looked untouched - floors left unswept, carpets and rugs not vacuumed, etc. I let Maico know I was disappointed and he was gracious enough to knock $20 off the cost, but I would have preferred he sent his team back to correct the issues (and I don't feel $20 off is an adequate reimbursement for how much they missed). UPDATE: Maico contacted me and refunded me a bit more money back after seeing my review. I appreciate his generosity and customer service and so I have changed my review to three stars, based solely on his customer service and willingness to fix the issue. Thank you. read more
