The mechanic took it for a test drive and returned saying, 'I have no idea what that noise might be,' and that I would need to make an appointment for a full inspection. At this point, I called the dealership and told them I wanted to return the car because I felt the initial assurances about the issue were inaccurate. They refused, saying it was too late and that I had declined to wait for their own inspection (which, had I known, I would have done). They then clarified that it had only been inspected by the auction house. During the five-day wait for their lift to become available, new issues developed, including a tapping noise when the AC was on, hesitation or slippage in the transmission, and a loud squeaking sound that resembled a dolphin. When I returned, the lift was still occupied, so they used home car ramps but then said the car was 'too hot' to inspect and asked me to leave it for an hour. Hours later, I had to stop by to check on it since no one called. After the repair, the original noise was gone, but the transmission still hesitated/slipped. When I brought it up, I was told, 'That's just how these transmissions are.' I was later informed that I had a 3-month warranty, but it only covers up to $1,000 in repairs, which may not be enough for transmission work. If you're considering buying from here, I highly recommend getting an independent inspection beforehand. It costs about $160 but could save a lot of trouble. 05/30/18 Update & response to new manager Tim: the comment below by him is false no discount was given on vehicle due to issues disclosed on the contrary NO issues were disclosed only masked, there was no upgraded exhaust the exhaust fell off and had to be replaced- this same manager did reach out to me and offered 350 dollars to alter my review as a good faith gesture I declined my review stands! Stay AWAY from MK Motors!!!!! Update & response to owner Mikhael and his sales agent Floyd on 5/22/17-Again, buyer beware of this lot and the owners and managers. Since, my first review after no contact from owner Mikhael he has now sent several text bullying me then when he didnt like my review or response blocked my response to him on yelp. November 2016-We bought a 16 grand F-150. On the surface the truck looked amazing but there were issues immediately that the lot had claimed would be fixed prior to pick up these issues were: Audio system,electrical system, replaced shifter knob,replaced modeling. The only item actually done was the molding. Floyd told us to bring it back so they would fix all and they kept our vehicle after purchase 2-3 weeks and fixed nothing. Almost immediately after we got it back the tire pressure light stayed on, the back brakes completely failed over the pass with all my kids in the car, another few months later our exhaust system fell off. The mechanic said both times the issues had been present and the prior owner had to be aware as the exhaust was completely rusted out and the brakes were metal to metal. I attempted many times to seek a deal or get them to fix all was ignored. Floyd the car seller refused his owner Mikhaels contact info. Mikhaels only recently made contact a few days ago on yelp in an attempt to bully me about my filing with BBB and negative reviews on yelp. Other customers of MK have contacted me and stated they had the same or worse issues with this company. Sadly some with special needs kiddos that needed the vehicles to transport those kids to appointments. If you want proof I will show your invoices, texts, calls with vm's as well as get you in touch with others. Look at Better Business Bureau as well lots of complaints! Do not go here please I implore you as many cars the issues are masked and check engine lights or worse happen soon after. I purchased a car in July 2022. Two months later, the tranny has issues. I contacted the owner, Mike. He is not willing to work with me. I realize I purchased "AS IS", but there is an expectation the car should last more than 90 days. Mike has no morales. He thinks selling pieces of sh*t is okay. I love this place and the people that work here. I told the gentleman Felix my whole situation and he sat down with me and explained everything. He set me up with a beautiful car that has been running perfect since! All these other people that are complaining about this place just don't know how to take care of a car. When you get a new car from a dealership or a private seller, always check the oil, spark plugs, battery ext.. Or maybe I was just placed with a good employee. This place is a sham. Went in with my brother-in law to find a commuter car for my sister. We were shown a clean carfax and a clean title on a 2004 Kia Rio. Car has been nothing but problematic from the beginning. Dead battery on the lot(seems to be a trend) chugging/surging, failed emissions, things stop working intermittently. Had to go back with my sister to have codes cleared (another trend). My brother in law paid CASH on the spot. Fast forward to today (7 months later) and he traded it in. To his surprise, the car has a SALVAGED title, and was deemed a total loss months before he bought it. The dealership where he bought his new car today gave him $400 for it.... much less than he paid. Oh yeah, and they do hand out $25 gas gift cards for positive reviews... MK MOTORS SOLD ME A HORRIBLE CAR!! March 1st, I went into MK motors. I was greeted by a man named Floyd Gamboa, he showed me a 2002 Mercury Moutainner. He was having problems started a car due to the battery being dead. He then went around the lot and was picking through the cars looking for a battery that would work, unfortunately all the batteries were dead. He finally got a battery to start the car and we took it for a drive. My car that I owned before that wasn't working at the time and I need a car horribly. After the drive, we went and discussed the price of the car. Floyd gave it to me $3,000 marked down from $6,000. I was very hesitate on buying the car for it was a very beat up and old car. Floyd through the test drive and everything was reassuring me that the cars the sold weren't pretty cars but they were sold reliable cars. So we put down 1,900 on the car and took it home. That night, we took it home and picked up my kids. We replaced the windshield wiper due to them being old and it was raining. After the car would not turn on, the car part place had a battery and gave us a jump. We instantly went back to MK motors, he then replaced the battery again and told us that it would be fine. To keep the car running, even while putting in. He told us that if a code or a code error popped up he could erase it. I went to safe way and turned off the car because it's unsafe to put in gas while the car is running. I then went and bought a new battery and put in into my car because the would not start again. On the 6th of march, I called Floyd to tell him that the car was chugging and that it wasn't driving correctly. He told me to bring it in and I did. Floyd drove the car around and told me that I just needed to do a has treatment and fill up the tank, after I did that the car would be fine. We did the treatment and we took it home. The next day we started and we were on our way to Lynnwood. The car was chugging horribly so I pulled it to the side and it completely turned off by itself. I called Floyd right away, he said he didn't know what was going on with the car and told us to bring it back in. That his mechanic would look at it. I didn't have a good feeling about it, so I brought it back to Danas Transmission. I'll attach a picture of what they said was wrong with the car. What they basically told me is the car was completely unsafe, that I should've never been sold this car. The transition isn't attached, parts are missing and tapped into the car. I brought this to attention to floyd, he then freaked out. That there wasn't anything to do. He demanded I give him the keys and leave him the car. I asked floyd who owned MK motors, he processed to tell me to leave before he called the police on me. So of course, I left with the keys to the car. I then reascearhed who owned MK motors. So I called last night, the actual owner of MK motors. His name is Mikhail Garbunor, I explained what happened. He then told me that he believes I took the missing pieces of car out because I needed the pieces of the car. I told him that he was ridiculous. He told he was going to the dealership to check out the car. I told him, all I wanted was the money back that I didn't want the car. He wanted to put in another car, I didn't trust them. So I refused. He then said he'd call me back that I night. I never received a call back from him. I received a call at 10 today, from floyd. Telling me that all the things with the car are normal and that it was okay. I then called back later to ask if they could email a response on why they sold me a unsafe car, she then seemed upset and hung up on me. I then called back and she answered the phone what more can I help you with, I said well you never got my email address. I gave it to her and she told me that they couldn't speak with me anymore and that their lawyer will be in contact with me. I called the owner because I wasn't getting any where. Mr. Mikhail Garbunor told me I was a liar and that he was going to sue me for slander because I made the whole thing up.i asked him what what I lied about and he said I made the statement from the macanic. I said are you serious? And he told me to shut up lady and hung up on me. So now I'm out 1900 and I don't even have a car. read more
